 Yasz frowned. They'd been pushed back again by the cursed and even though he hadn't lost a battle yet, he felt like he hadn't done enough. He needed more impressive victories to demoralize the enemy and make his god proud. So when he spotted one of the big corrupted nearby, he didn't hesitate, and hefting his halberd, skittered over to him and swung with all of his might. HP: 20

 HP: 22Travus hadn't been paying much attention, which is why the spider managed to heave his halberd into his side. It cut deep, causing blood to gush out. He roared in anger, trying to swat the bug as hard as he could.

Yasz didn't stop even as he scored his hit. He yanked his halberd's blade out and backed up as the serpent retaliated, catching part of that swat on his front legs as he swung his weapon again, down at diagonal, trying to slice him from shoulder to opposite hip.

There was blood oozing from his chest where the blade managed to hit. He growled, launching himself at the spider.

Yasz kept up his concentration on the dangerous beast, and was able to skitter to the side, catching a glancing blow as the corrupted came at him and swung his halberd again, this time for his backside as he went by.

He barely received a small cut from the blade and he used this opportunity to sweep the spider's legs with his tail.

Yasz mostly missed, but somehow managed to hop over the tail, he comes back down hoping to land on top of the tail with his pointy legs, trying to put a lot of holes in him.

Travus screamed in pain as blood poured from his tail in excess. He was tired of having his tail poked and prodded and bloodied. With as much energy as he could muster, he swung at the spider with the back of his barbed hand.

Yasz took no satisfaction from his screams as he swung at him; he extracated himself from his tail to try and avoid it but some of the barbs sliced his chest. He swung his halberd at Travus' shoulder, next.

The blade scraped his shoulder, but he's had worse. He balled up his fist and aimed a blow to the spider's jaw.

Yasz leaned enough that the punch glanced off the side of his face, stinging his ear; being in close quarters now he couldn't swing the halberd well, but he spread his grip apart on the shaft and aimed it straight ahead horizontally at Travus' face.

The blade grazed his cheek as he moved to avoid it and with a snarl he lunged at his foe trying to bring him down.

Yasz saw him move and the spider kept trying to turn with him -- it was the only thing keeping him from getting tackled as he skittered aside, trying to bring the butt-end of the halberd down upon Travus' head.

Travus fell with the hit and heard a distinctive cracking sound of his skull. It wasn't a pleasent sound or feeling to say the least. Dizzy and stumbling, the corrupted lashed out at the spider again with his barbed hand.

Yasz backed up as he went down to get some distance for his weapon; he felt the barbs drag across his forelegs as he did so, and he winced before swinging his halberd again, this time for his side.
