In an alternate reality, different from the one we know, there were once six brave warriors, each masters of the different elements of the world: Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Darkness, and Light. Together, they fought against the forces of evil to protect the world they lived in. Protected by Guardians, they worked in secret, not even their families nor their closest friends knew of the secret lives they lived. They fought against their own kind, Corrupted Gate Keepers who had once been like them, but had strayed from the Light and chose to travel the path of destruction and darkness.
However, their story would not have a happy ending. Three of the Gate Keepers would perish in hardened battles, suffering gruesome deaths. One would live, yet force herself into hiding, unwilling to fight in a war that has already claimed those she was closest to. Another would fall into Corruption and become the very thing he had fought so hard against. The final one is left alive, still eager to fight, but knowingly not strong enough to battle this new evil on her own, especially when this enemy is her own flesh and blood. Seira knows that one day she will have to face Him, but she also knows that she cannot do it alone. Who will aide her?

My name is: Mariah Sayson I am... 24 years old I carry a few extra items with me: I used to be very adept at regular boxing and kick boxing. My body was my weapon, but after years of not fighting, I am very rusty. I still do carry around a hand gun for protection, although I haven't had to use it in a long time and it doesn't help very much against the certain foes that I've fought in the past. I control... Water It's a long story... I came from a very large family that consisted mostly of older brothers. My mother was so elated to learn that her final child, after many years of trying and getting only boys was to be a girl that she could groom to become the perfect young lady. You see, my mom was a socialite and she wanted to breed me to be the same as well. However, my older brothers and my father influenced me and I sort of went the opposite direction. Instead of playing with dolls, I tossed around footballs or baseballs with my male counterparts. Instead of wearing frilly dresses and shiny mary janes that my mom desperately tried to get me to wear, grass stained jeans and baseball t-shirts seemed to become my official uniform. Of course, as I got older, I did develop a few feminine tastes such as getting my ears pierced and learning to fix my hair, but that was about it.
When I was around sixteen, I became a Gate Keeper. I discovered that I had the ability to control Water. I also learned that there were others like me. At the head of our group were two brothers, twins named Yuri and Noel. Yuri controlled Light and Noel controlled Darkness. Even though they were both almost identical, it was Yuri I developed a crush on. I was drawn to his confidence, more than I was drawn to Noel's stoic manner. I also became fast friends with the other Gate Keepers as well.
Two years later, we were to lose one of our own, The Earth Gate Keeper and our resident comedian, Kyrad. It was a hard day for all of us. However, soon, believe it or not, a new Earth Gate Keeper was born in the form of Yuri and Noel's younger sister, Seira. It seemed it ran in the family. I wasn't sure how she would fair as she seemed to have a problem following orders and it didn't help that her brothers always tried to keep her at home. But Seira proved to be able to pull her weight. Sure, she wasn't as strong or as fast as some of us, but she was quite intelligent when it came to getting out of sticky situations.
But our enemies, the Corrupted who were once former Gate Keepers who had fallen and chosen a darker path proved to be more challenging that we could ever imagine. At the very top was their leader, Ezra...the only Corrupted who still had a Guardian. One by one, we all fell. After Kyrad, Ariel fell next followed by Thealos. During the battle with Ezra, it was Yuri, Noel, Seira, and myself. I remember that day as clearly as if it was yesterday. Not only because that was the day that Ezra was finally defeated, but that was also the day that Noel revealed his dark intentions and turned on us. I remember as his blade pierced through his own brother, clean through to the other side. I remember turning and running, practically dragging Seira along with me. I will never forget that day. Instead of helping Yuri like I should have, I turned and ran like a coward. I will never forgive myself for leaving him to die. I have ceased fighting and now live in a small beach house alone with only Kyura to keep me company and weekly visits from Seira from time to time who doesn't seem to despise me even though I adandoned her brother. I hope that one day I can make it up to her, but I also know that this is a battle none of us can win. I tend to cringe when... Lightning is one of my weaknesses. My other weaknesses are mental. You'll find out why soon enough. Oh, you want a Photo ID? Mariah I'm not as alone as you think: My Guardian is a black winged cat named Kyura. Despite the fact that I have not fought in years, she still remains by my side and will do so until the day that I die. I think I've covered everything: (Other things that might have been forgotten) My name is: Yuri Mattix I am... 27 Years Old I carry a few extra items with me: Ivory, a katana given unto me by my Guardian. It has partaken in many battles, and has shed much blood. Anyone who has challenged me, has fallen to this legendary blade. I control... Light It's a long story... Hey, I'm Yuri! I became a Gate Keeper at the ripe young age of 17 years of age. I had many friends, who also carried the same responsibility I did. We fought alongside one another and became the best of friends, although at times we had our disagreements. By twin brother, Noel, was also a Gate Keeper. The two of us always found a reason to argue amongst one another when the hard decisions came about. But none the less, we tended to work well together as a team. Our enemy, the Corrupted, headed by their puppet masters, The Fallen and the Mad God Ezra, threatened the entire living universe. They were a force unlike any we had seen before. One by one the Corrupted took possession of the fragments until just one remained. Ezra, seeking possession of the final missing shard, had grown strong enough to escape the Abyss of Requiem and claim countless lives. As the prophecy foretold:
"Darkness will roll over the face of the Earth, and the deceiver will come to call it his own."
High Rule of Eden, the mightiest of empires, was brought to its end with the coming of the Mad God. Kneeling on hands and knees in the face of their destroyer. Yet the prophecy was not fulfilled! Or so we thought.. I, along with Mariah, Thealos, Noel, Seira, and the old man Eli were able to defeat Ezra before his awakening had been completed. But not without casualty.. Thealos, Eli, and countless other Enlightened were killed in battle. As I rescued Noel from the dying grip of Ezra, I delivered the killing blow to his heart, listening to the echoing, merciful screams of he and his Guardian as they died. All had seemed to be over. Until Noel, in my weakened state, turned his blade unto me, stabbing me through and through. His blade made its way deeper into my chest until I began to lose consciousness. I could feel my blood rushing down his blade as a stream of it poured from my back. With the foot of his boot, he pried my lifeless body from his katana and threw me from the tower we stood upon to the floor below. As Noel stood atop the tower, he cut Ezra's heart from his chest and, hesitantly, devoured it, bit by bit, along with the fragments deep within. That day, his power grew in magnitude, to heights of which no one has ever fathomed.
Not many have come to know of my whereabouts thus far. That incident was nearly 5 years ago. I pray my sister and Mariah are alright. I travel alone now in this dark, twisted world. I know Noel is still out there.. This world he's created is nothing more than the darkest of evils. I haven't come to accept this place, this new way of life... But I doubt we can stop him now.
I tend to cringe when... I am weak only to Noel Oh, you want a Photo ID? Yuri Mattix I'm not as alone as you think My Guardians name is Ivory. She's kept me alive for all this time. My wound was only sealed because of her, and I owe her my life. With her aid, my powers were fully awakened. I think I've covered everything: Yuri has a large slit like scar on his chest just above his heart. My name is: Seira Mattix I am... 18 years old I carry a few extra items with me: I used to carry no weapons and allow my lovely plants to do most of the talking, but I soon learned that a few deadly flowers would not do me any good, so, with the money I had saved up from my allowance and little odd jobs over the years, I managed to purchase some fire power. I control... Earth (Nature more specifically) It's a long story... Before I became a Gate Keeper, I was just your average preteen school girl, filled with the same dreams as every girl my age had. I had friends, I was at that age where boys were becoming more interesting, not the boys in my classes. They were still disgusting pigs, but I'm talking more about those heartthrobs in the boy bands, which used to cover my bedroom walls in the form of many posters so that I could stare at them and dream of an obvious impossible relationship with them. Hey, I was only twelve years old. My life seemed perfect.
But soon, everything changed and I was forced into a position that not every girl finds herself in. You see, about six months after I turned twelve, I found myself developing these strange abilities, especially around plants. It started out small. I would touch a rose bud and all of a sudden it would bloom , even the tiniest of buds that still needed a while to grow would all of a sudden fully mature. I thought that maybe it was just a coincidence, that there was something being put in the flowers to make them grow so rapidly. However, when these so called abilities started to grow and increase to the point where my entire bedroom would be filled with greenery, similar to a rainforest, I knew that it had to be me doing this and not some special chemicals that had just been released into the world.
I tried my hardest to hide this from my family. I managed to do so for about two months. However, it was around that time when I met Syrsi. At first I didn't believe that she was real, for she seemed to be a fairy and, as we all know, fairies are mythical creatures that are part of fairy tales and other such stories. Even after she explained that she was a Guardian from another realm and that I was something called a Gate Keeper, a protector of this realm, I didn't believe her until she showed me her own abilities, which were very similar to my own, but more advanced. She also told me that there were others like me, each who controlled different elements and that I would have to meet them soon.
The truth is, my bother Yuri is the one who found out about my newfound abilities. He also revealed something to me that still shocks me to this very day. It turned out he was also a Gate Keeper, and not just that...he was their leader. Well, co-leader. I came to find out that my brother Noel led alongside him. Yuri controlled the element of Light and Noel controlled the element of Darkness. I soon met everyone else and discovered that there had once been a Gate Keeper of Earth before me named Kyrad. I had remembered him as one of my brother's friends. He had always been very nice to me and quite good looking. It was safe to say that maybe I had had a small crush on him. I was a little saddened to learn that he had been killed and surprised to learn that I was to take his place as the new Gate Keeper of Earth. I was welcomed with open arms. I learned the story of the different realms and of the Corrupted, who were once Gate Keepers that had, to put it simply, fallen from grace.
Yuri and Noel proved to be problematic. Being the overprotective older brothers that were they tried their hardest to keep me at home when they all went on missions. But thanks to being outvoted by everyone else, I was able to go on most missions. In between missions, I trained with Syrina to hone my abilities and better control them. I even gained a new branch of my powers, and that was to communicate with animals. I found out that my cat, Sadie, was quite a diva and had a bit of an attitude. Of course, I was warned to hide my abilities from those who were not Gate Keepers or associated with the Gate Keepers.
The Corrupted, however, soon proved to be a problem. They were much more powerful than us, even with us combining our abilities and working together, there were times when we barely escaped them. We soon began to suffer casualties. Thealos, the Gate Keeper of Fire was the first to go. Not long after that, Ariel, who controlled lightning followed soon after, and then after her, Zagi...the master of the skies or the Wind Keeper. Now, it was only Yuri, Noel, Mariah (the Gate Keeper or Water), and myself. My brother, Noel, however, had been undergoing some changes and not for the better. He started to withdraw himself from us, even his own flesh and blood.
We soon found out why my brother was acting so strange when he had attacked us out of nowhere during the next mission. We soon found out that Noel had deceived us all. Yuri, who had been aiding us during our escape was caught in battle with his brother in order to distract Noel from us. We were forced to run. I have no idea what happened to my brother, but I can only assume he is dead as I have not seen him since. Mariah soon went into a deep depression. See, she wasn't just close to Yuri, she was in love with him. The years have passed since this happened. I am now eighteen years old, legally an adult. There have been no other Gate Keepers that have revealed themselves. Perhaps the cycle was broken. I still think about my brother everyday and the man he used to me and the monster he is now. I know that one of these days I will have to face him again and I will have to make a choice. I am not the same carefree girl that I once was. I was forced to grow up and I will be forced to make choices that will affect the entire world. I tend to cringe when... Fire, obviously. My brother, Noel, is also one of my biggest weaknesses. You'll see why soon. Oh, you want a Photo ID? Seira I'm not as alone as you think: Syrina is a fairy-like Guardian with control over Nature like me. In a way, she is like an older sister to me. We're actually very close and she is probably the only person right now who keeps me sane. Because of the power she has gained because of our bond, she has a human form as well, which looks similar to her fairy form, but she has the average height of a normal young woman and then there is the lack of wings. I think I've covered everything: (Other things that might have been forgotten) My name is: Noel Mattix I am... 27 Years Old I carry a few extra items with me: Ebony, a katana, pitch black in color. This blade has killed many and strikes fear into countless others. With this very blade, I struck down my brother, Yuri, atop the mountain where Ezra, The Mad God, was handed death. I control... Darkness It's a long story... For years my twin and I fought along side one another as brothers, allies. Yuri and I always fought for leadership amongst the group. He was, hesitant, stubborn, overly-cautious, and complacent. While I was bold, concise, clever, and strategic in nature. As the Fallen began collecting more and more fragments, I began to come to the realization that the inevitable would not be avoided. When I was sure the prophecy could not be undone I took matters into my own hands. I would kill the Mad God, take his power for myself and reap from the harvest I've put before myself. What a foolish cause, these Gate Keepers so willingly followed. What fruit is there to harvest when your work will only be met with failure? Who am I to deny myself? To caste myself out? The very thing that made me who I am?! I embraced this darkness as the others embraced their self-destruction.
I ate the heart of the Mad God and took his power unto myself, with the aid of that twin. This power has opened my eyes, unleashed my mind from the shackles that once bound it, and has made me a GOD amongst man. All shall kneel before me. Those who deny me, will die at the hands of my army. I tend to cringe when... Weakness? I've killed away the only threat to me 5 years ago. Oh, you want a Photo ID Noel I'm not as alone as you think: Ebony is my Guardian. I don't have much use of her anymore. She's grown insubordinate, disrespectful, and quiet. No matter. Her duty as a Guardian cannot be challenged. She will obey me. I think I've covered everything: I don't have the last remaining fragment of Ezra's heart. Once I have it, the gem will be whole and I will be immortal! My name is: Aiden Reed I am... 20 Years Old I carry a few extra items with me: I carry a blue sword that rests on my back in a holster. It was crafted and given to me by my father at a very young age. I don't often use it, but I figure its good to have around. I also carry two twin handguns with me as well, capable of firing regular force shot as well as incendiary rounds down range. This weapons recharge on their own and do not require bullets. The guns can be calibrated to hit like heavy, fast flying punches... Others can be lethal I control... What are you talking about? It's a long story... I was just a kid when the blanket of black fog covered the entire sky and everything changed. The weather began to change rapidly and these demon like figures ran ramped across the city. Entire buildings began to crumble and even bridges collapsed down into the water below. Lightning crackled in the sky and large gusts of wind swirled up above in the distance. No one knew what was happening. Looting ensued, riots emerged, and many lives were taken that day. My family traveled for months looking for a place to resettle. My father was strong. A military man. He often fought off the aliens/demons that had flooded into this world. We finally settled in a new large city called Zion. The entire city is surrounded by a number of different walls and barriers protecting the inhabitants. There is still a lot of work to be done here. The city is located 100's of miles from St. Lima. I met this girl named Seira sometime back. She saved my life when I dared to travel too far outside the city walls in search of a bandit with big game on his head. I found myself outnumbered by the dozens by these large mouth demons. I didn't know what to do. Sure enough, i was rescued. She displayed these unbelievable powers! Much the same as a man I saw on the news a few years back. I was just a boy then.
I've grown much older, and now, I'm a bounty hunter in case you didn't catch on. In times like these. They're are plenty of thieves running around trying to make a living stealing, and with the police force still in bits and pieces, I figured I'd help out. Seira pops up every now and then when I don't see her in school. I don't mind the company. I tend to cringe when... I can't swim and my playful behavior can often carry me into deep trouble. Oh, you want a Photo ID Aiden Reed I'm not as alone as you thinkN/A I think I've covered everything: I wear a small purple gem fragment around my neck that I found 2 years ago. While I wear it. I find that my physical abilities are drastically improved. I'm much faster, stronger, and much more agile on my feet than usual.

The cool autumn breeze ruffled the strands of hair that had escaped Seira's ponytail. The temperature dropped quite a bit within the last few hours making the young eighteen year old wish she had thought to bring a jacket with her. As it was, she was only glad in a simple black t-shirt tucked into a pair of thin black skinny jeans, which were tucked into a pair of black boots, a perfect disguise at night if one was trying to achieve the success of stealth. Seira's cinnamon brown eyes scanned the ground below roof of the eight story office building, which she was perched upon before she lifed her eyes to search the skies. A few times, she alternated her point of vision before the tiny rustling of wings alerted her.
Approaching quickly was a small orange breasted robin, perhaps a bit conspicuous, for they were normally not nocturnal creatures, but who would be scanning the skies for them at this hour of the night? No one except perhaps a crazy young woman who was perched on a rooftop instead of at home in bed or cuddled up with her boyfriend, but the fact of the matter remained that Seira was anything, but normal and she didn't exactly have a boyfriend to woo her. The pretty little robin landed on her shoulder and lifted it's round head as Seira tilted her own head as if to listen to the sweet sound of its song. "The next block, you say? They should be here within the next five minutes?" More chirping. "Yes, thank you so much for your help." The robin seemed to nod its head respectfully before lifting its tiny wings and taking flight.
There was nothing to do now, but wait. Another small creature alit Seira's other shoulder opposite the one that the robin had briefly rested upon. This creature was not one seen quite often, in fact, it was only seen in books. Seira's Guardian, Syrina, was a small fairy, perhaps about six inches high. Her long waving auburn hair lightly brushed against Seira's neck and her large periwinkle blue wings were folded down given the fact that she was not in flight at the moment. "Are you sure you want to get involved in this? You know what happened the last time you tried to help him." Seira waved her hand impatiently. "Yes, yes, I remember. But the fact of the matter is that this is no ordinary fugitive he's chasing. I can't exactly risk the chance that something bad will happen to him." Syrina narrowed her jade eyes at the Gate Keeper, which she watched over. Did impulsiveness always run in her family?
"Well, you shouldn't have chosen to really come here alone. You should have at least brought Mariah with you." Seira scoffed. "And have to look after two people instead of one? Mariah's great and all, but she wouldn't exactly be much help." Seira's eyes darkened into two pools of sadness for a brief moment before she heard a noise and stood up abruptly causing Syrina to tumble off of her shoulder before her wings lifted her into the air so that she hovered near Seira. "Looks like they're coming this way," she said before she spread her arms and fell forward through the sky and towards the ground, leaving the safety of the rooftop. Syrina sighed. "I hate it when she does that," she said before following after her. The ground below Seira broke open as vines ascended the sky allowing the young Gate Keeper to land upon them and slide down them quite gracefully almost like a surfer until she landed safely upon the ground.

A loud thundering roar from the well armored motorcycle Aiden sat upon grew louder as he approached his bounty, an older man possessed by a powerful demon of Requiem. He was a local townsmen, named Samuel, who provided the city with fresh food, courtesy of the many gardens he used to nourish. He went missing a few years back. Right around the same time, children began to go missing too, and what was left of they're bodies were often found butchered in pieces. Dressed in old black robes that hug to his ankles, the bare foot old man ran incredibly fast, as he fled from his pursuer. These super natural powers easily explained this in his current state. The lights of Aiden's bike shined brightly in front of him onto the man. He was getting closer. Around 20 meters away now. The dust from the hard, sandy earth was clearing. "......... I've got you now old man..." Aiden reached for one of his guns at his hip, looking down for a brief moment.
As his eyes returned to the forefront, old man Samuel had gone missing into the night. Aiden began to slow down, coming to a stop, and parking his bike. Its lights remained on. He looked around as he sat, to the left, to the right, and even behind him. "Where the hell could that monster have gone in such a hurry??" He scratched his head, pondering the thought. It was dark and outside of 3 meters from his face, it was hard to see. They were miles from Zion, the area in which Aiden had first saw Samuel. He dismounted the motorcycle and drew his blade. His firearm rested in the other palm. Aiden suddenly got the feeling the hunter was being hunted. The air was growing cold outside. He could nearly see his breathe as he exhaled. Gusts of wind blew through on occasion, carrying sand and dust. "Come out Samuel! I know you're still out here!"
Aiden brushed his cheek on his shoulder, scrubbing away sand that had rested there. His gun pointed out into the night as he slowly turned, looking for him.

The roar of the motorcycle filled Seira's ears coming closer and closer to her. However, suddenly it finally quieted down as if slowing before stopping. Seira glimpsed the pursuer stepping off of the motorcycle. He appeared to be looking for something. With a glimpse at Syrina, who quickly hid behind the overflowing dumpster, Seira stepped out of the shadows, the heels of her boots clicking on the black pavement as she slowly approached him. "So...you're at it again, I see," she said, her expression solemn. "I really am getting tired of saving your a**. Don't you ever do normal guy stuff like...I don't know, go out with girls, shoot s**t with the guys? Go to bars and get drunk at night? You know...stuff that normal people usually do? I hope you know that what you're going up against isn't exactly normal."
Seira wanted to interrogate him some more, but the one they had both been pursuing was closing in on them fast. At first glance, he seemed just a harmless, senile old man, not a harm to anyone, just someone who wandered out and got lost. His back was turned to them. Anyone who saw him would feel the overwhelming need to help him, at least at first. Then, he turned his head a full 180 degrees, his neck twisting most grotesquely, something that couldn't be achieved by any normal human. It was reminiscent of an old movie that Seira had watched quite often about a young girl who had been possessed. His eyes were two coal black pools. The only emotion that she could see in them was pure hatred. The expression on his face was that of someone evil, someone without redemption.
He then opened his mouth, wide, his jaw drooping down to resemble the mask from the old Scream franchise, his teeth yellowing and rotting out of his head before he let out a high pitched piercing scream, the skin tearing slightly at the jaws before he ran at them, his form nothing, but a blur as he approached them. He lunged at Aiden, a long thick vine erupted from the ground, pushing him out of the way. Samuel ended up tackling Seira instead, pinning her to the ground with surprising strength, depite his brittle form. He drew his face close to hers, his breath the stench of something dead that had been rotting for a long time. Seira resisted the urge to start dry heaving. "So beautiful," it rasped, its blackened tongue coming from its parted lips to sensually lick her left cheek briefly before letting out a piercing scream of agony as a long vine, sharpened at the ends and covered with thorns pierced his side. Samuel drew back, giving Seira the opportunity to stand, unharmed, but still feeling just a bit violated.

Aiden, without hesitation turned his gun on the figure that approached. It was Seira, looming out from the darkness. With a grin, Aiden lowered his gun and his posture softened. He was somewhat happy to see her. She did save his life. "Well well well.... If it isn't you again. I thought I might've found you out here at this time a night. I'm starting to get the feeling you like me, and I don't mind that." Aiden said jokingly toward her, disregarding her humorous comments. The old man slowly waked toward them before coming to a halt in the near distance. The guy wasn't exactly easy on the eyes and his company brought an eerie, ever darker feeling to what was already a pitch black night. Aiden covered his ears as the demon within screamed aloud.
As he did so, Samuel approached, and with haste. A vine, complementary of Seira moved Aiden clear into safety, yet now she was in danger. After she managed to overcome the strength of the demon, Aiden acted quickly. He quickly pointed his gun and fired two rounds of incendiary bullets into the man's left arm and ribcage after Samuel forcibly pulled the vine from his mid section. His clothes caught fire and the flame spread quickly. As if unscathed, the old man removed his flaming garments, tossing them to the floor and began to speak. "I will tear you apart, limb from limb, and feast on your dead body! And for you.... Your flesh will be most delicious against my tongue.." the demon yelled out. A demonic laughter escaped his throat and mouth. Aiden slowly made his way to Seira's side as the demon spoke."Thanks back there. Are you alright?" Aiden said keeping his eyes fixed on the demon that stood before the two.

Seira heard Aiden's obvious attempt to flirt with her, but ignored it, otherwise. It wasn't the first time and it probably wouldn't be the last. The guy had the propensity for flirting with anything with a pair of decent breasts and a pulse. Upon freeing herself from the possessed elderly man's grip, she stood, pushing herself up with her legs and brushed herself off. "I'm fine. While being licked by something that's clearly never heard of chewing gum at least, it's never killed anyone." Although now she wanted to take a long hot shower. Seira dreaded what she had to do next. Yet, after years of trying different methods, there was just no other way. Seira had no time to mourn for Samuel was charging at them again.
"Right, I'm going in for the kill," she said as her feet carried her across the blacktop as she ran at a sprint. He leaped at her, his yellowing and blackened teeth bared. In the dead of night, it was hard to see, but those who had quite good vision in the dark would see that Seira had flicked what appeared to be a small and barely noticeable seed towards Samuel. The demonically possessed elderly man had been so caught up in this desire to kill the two of them and most likely ravage her dead body that he did not notice as the seed imbedded itself into his forehead. Samuel extended his left arm forward and grabbed her neck. He licked his lips like someone about to enjoy a gourmet turkey dinner. But what his next goal was, no one would be able to find out, for at that moment, he froze, his face contorting in agony.
The seed, which had been planted into his forehead had now sprouted. A mixture of thorny vines and blood poured from his face, from his very pores and snaked around, enveloping his entire head. The only sounds that could be heard were his muffled bloodcurdling screams. When the flames dispursed, there was nothing left, but a bloodied stump where the head had been. Seira stepped back as the now mutilated corpse fell to the ground. A small black wisp rose from the bloodied neck. It lingered for a moment before dispersing. Seira released a breath of air that she did not realize she had been holding. This was always her least favorite part of these jobs. Yet, death was the only way these innocent people could be released from their demonic captors. Worse still, was the fact that the only way to do this was through decapitation.
Still, it was a life that she had chosen. Someone had to keep the towns safe, even if it meant that a few lives had to be lost in the process. But even young children, and even a baby or two had to perish, for these demons especially loved to possess and torment the younger of our generation. Seira turned and made her way back to Aiden, her face displaying none of the sorrow that she usually felt whenever she was forced to do this. "You all right? You're not hurt are you?" she called out in mild concern.

Aiden brushed off his clothes where a few stray thorns rested near its base. Their work here was finished and Aiden was growing tired. As Seira approached he turned to face here. "I'm fine, now that you're here. Could've handled this one myself, but I thought since you showed up, I'd be nice and let you get your hands dirty... You seem to like it a bit more than I do." He looked down at the decapitated body and shook his head. This gardener wouldn't be killing anymore innocent children or women.
Aiden brushed past Seira's left shoulder making his way back to his bike. His remote starter, activated the electric engine."A woman really shouldn't be walking home alone after dark. You should let me take you back to Zion.. I've got room for two! What do ya say, huh? It's the least I can do..." Aiden looked over his shoulder as he stood near his bike with a smile and raised brow. His sword and gun returned to their holsters. The wind was beginning to pick up a bit, making the air feel much colder. The lights from the massive, dome covered city had vanished as to not attract possible threats.

Seira was exhausted. All she wanted to do now was go home, take a nice hot shower, perhaps watch some reruns of Game of Thrones with her cat in her lap, then crawl underneath the thick duvet of her queen sized bed and sleep for about a week. But she knew that such a luxury wasn't possible, at least not anymore. Seira nodded approvingly upon hearing that Aiden did not bear any physical or mental damage. She arched her left eyebrow when he mentioned that he could have handled it himself. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time you tried to "handle it" on your own, you nearly got your a** handed to you, did you not? I believe that I had to step in and save your reckless a**." She shook her head wondering why he was always putting himself in danger like that. Still, she had to admit, it was kind of appealing the way he jumped into action without fear of the consequences. It was stupid, yes, but it was also very very appealing.
Seira eyed the motorcycle unsure of the safety of the thing. Granted, she did not want to have to walk all the way home. She could almost hear her feet screaming in protest at the prospect of having to travel so far. "Hm..." Seira seemed to be pondering her decision. "Well, you don't seem like some psycho who is going to lure me out to the middle of nowhere before incapacitating me in some way and then kill me in a very gory manner before chopping my body up and dumping it over a cliff in little black trash bags. So...I suppose I can ride with you just this once," she said, her lips curling into a smirk. She mentally reminded herself to stop watching all of those murder documentaries. Swinging her leg over the seat, she sat towards the back and grabbed the extra helmet and fastened it. "You've seen my apartment complex before. I'm pretty sure you know how to get there from here," she said. God's nightgown, it was cold! She rubbed her thin pale arms vigorously as goosebumps began to form.

Aiden hid a smirk with his back turned to Seira as she spoke of his recklessness. "Save me..? I'd call what you did trying to get into my pants, you show off. What woman goes out of they're way to save a guy like me?" Aiden said shrugging his shoulders and pointing at himself. "You miss, are one of a kind..." He said pointing at her now. He mounted his bike swinging one leg over to the other side and putting on his helmet. It was silver in color and had a yellow visor, sporting a smiley face on the front. Aiden wiped the visor free from the dew that rested upon the outside. "Well, you don't seem like some psycho who is going to lure me out to the middle of nowhere before incapacitating me in some way and then kill me in a very gory manner before chopping my body up and dumping it over a cliff in little black trash bags. So...I suppose I can ride with you just this once," said Seira as she mounted his bike. Aiden paused for a minute looking over his shoulder at her. "You gotta stop watching horror films.. I've seen enough creepy crawlies for one evening. Let's get back, shall we?" Without another word, Aiden sped off into the night back toward the city. They only traveled for 7, maybe 10 minutes before arriving. The large gates opened before them and Aiden entered. It was much brighter on the inside of the city, due to artificial light. They quickly made they're way to Seira's apartment complex. Weaving through light traffic and pedestrians. Upon arrival, Aiden removed his helmet and looked over his shoulder again. "We're here, I hope the ride wasn't too chilly."

Hearing Aiden mention her desire to, as he called it, "get into her pants", Seira couldn't help, but smirk. "I'll admit that it's crossed my mind on more than one occasion," she said, shifting as he climbed onto the bike in front of her and fastened his helmet. "That's adorable," she said admiring the smiley face on his head protection. She wrapped her arms lightly around his waist, holding on securely as he kicked the bike to life and began to speed down the streets and into the city towards her apartment. Yes, he had a fetish for getting himself into dangerous situations at least once a week and she was forced to bail him out. But there was a part of her that didn't mind too much. Even though there were times when she did want to punch him in the face or push him off a bridge, he was rather nice to look at. Squinting through the stinging wind caused by the speed of the motorcycle, she studied him, sniffed him. Of course, she couldn't help the latter. His cologne just smelled so good.
Seira was broken from her admiration of him as the motorcycle finally slowed, reaching the apartment complex where she lived. She lived in one of the nicer apartment buildings in the city. It was a very modern building with seven floors, that could be accessed by a sleek elevator or, if one was crazy enough, long flights of stairs. Seira's apartment was one of the nicer penthouse apartments on the top floor complete with three bedrooms, one of which had been turned into an office to hold her computer, and two bathrooms. She lifted her leg, swinging it around and climbed off of the bike before following Aiden up to the front entrance. "Oh, it wasn't too bad," she lied as she pulled off her helmet revealing the ever dreaded "helmet hair". "So, thanks for the ride. I hope you'll forgive me if I don't invite you up to my apartment for some hot wild monkey sex, but unfortunately, I have an early morning." It wasn't a lie. She really did have to wake up early in the morning and couldn't afford to get into any passionate late night rendevous at the moment.

Aiden laughed listening to Seiras response after dismounting his bike. It was a bit warmer inside the dorm, yet still cold non the less. Aiden removed his helmet, just for a moment, holding it against his hip. "Well that's disappointing... But if you happen to change your mind, you'll know where to find me." said Aiden as he put back on his helmet and started his bike. The engine was still warm as he revved the intake twice. He turned back toward Seira and lifted his visor. "Let's do lunch if you're not too tied up after tomorrow morning's activities. Keep me posted and don't be a stranger.." Aiden closed his visor and quickly spun his bike around. His apartment was a few blocks away, in the slightly more dangerous part of the city where theft and trespassing often went hand in hand. "Until next time, beautiful." He sped off into the dark of night, retreating to his own apartment. It was located in a tall apartment building where many families were housed. Although the building didn't look too appealing on the outside, the rooms were very clean and modern. Aiden's apartment was heavily equipped with tracking/identification technology. He removed his clothes, hastily making his way to bed. After a successful night, there was no better prize than getting a good nights rest knowing you still have you head on your shoulders.

Seira watched as Aiden climbed back onto his bike and sped away towards his own apartment building, which wasn't that far away from hers. She could have invited him in easily. In five minutes they could've probably been making out on the couch at least. But those who know Seira, knew that she wasn't that kind of girl. She'd had a few rendevous here and there, but she wasn't the type to just grab the first attractive random guy and shag him senseless. No way, she had standards. And, no matter how good Aiden looked tonight, she wasn't about to break those standards. With a sigh, she turned and walked towards the elevator. Once inside, she pressed the button for the very top floor and the penthouse apartment she owned. Once she reached it, she pulled her key card out of her back pocket and slid it into the slot in the door earning a flash of a green light on the symbol to indicate that she had used the right key before stepping inside. The living room was rather simple and had some very modern accents.
Almost immediately, she felf something sharp attach to her legs and looked down to see her fluffy long haired white long haired ragdoll cat, Sadie looking up at her reproachfully. Syrina, who didn't get along with Sadie as the cat seemed to like to chase her around, flew off to Seira's bedroom. Seira peered down at her cat, which demanded all of her attention when she was home. "Could you not do that the minute I walk through the door?" Sadie began to meow in a rather protesting manner. The many perks of her element meant that she could understand animals. "Where have you been? I've been starving all day! I can't eat that cheap cat food you got me. Why can't you buy me that gourmet stuff? And that water...what is it? Tap water? You know I demand Premium Bottled Water. My litter box also needs changing." On and on, Sadie complained about every trivial thing, following Seira while her owner went into the bathroom, slamming the door in Sadie's face. There was a hiss of resentment before Sadie most likely trotted off to dig her claws into something as revenge.
Seira turned on the shower, setting the temperature to the way she liked it and began to undress. Her top and pants were covered in blood, but because it had been dark, it hadn't been noticeable. She knew that blood stains were a b***h to get out, but would worry about them later. After she was fully undressed, she stepped into the shower and closed the curtain. About twenty minutes later, the water shut off and Seira stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel off of the hook near the tub to dry herself off with. One of the many perks of living on her own was that she could walk out of the bathroom in just a towel and not have to worry about anyone seeing her other than Syrina and Sadie who were both female. Clad in a pink towel, with a smaller towel wrapped around her head, she made her way to her bedroom. On the desk, Syrina had already prepared for bed. Seira had made her one out of various bits of cotton and had cut out a patch from an old sweater for a blanket and used another larger piece of cotton for a pillow. It wasn't exactly fancy, but it was comfortable enough for the Guardian who agreed that it would do.
"I don't know why you display your powers freely in front of him, but yet I have to hide each time he comes near," Syrina said as she fluffed her mint green night gown, taken from one of Seira's old dolls and altered slightly to fit her wings, meaning that it was backless. Seira removed the towel wrapped around her body and threw it into the hamper near her closet before walking to her dresser to pull out some pajamas. "Because," Seira said as she slipped on a pair of grey shorts and a black tank top, "there are some things I'd rather him not knowing right now. He already knows enough about me. Hell, he doesn't even know that there used to be others like me and I'd like to keep it like that. The only reason he even knows what I can do was because I had no choice in the matter a long time ago."She sat down at her small vanity and began to brush her wet shoulder length hair out.

The following morning Aiden sat in his living room watching the morning news, coffee in hand. Channel 3 had all the up to date news. Today they were covering an incident that occurred not to far outside of the city where a large concentration of demon activity had been recorded. They recommended all residents to stay within the dome until the threat passed. Aiden stood to his feet, making his way to his fridge as the news continued to play. "The dome will be put on lockdown starting immediately. Zion officials urge each of its residents to stay put during the hours of 7:00am until 2:00am the following morning. Again, entering and exiting privileges will only be granted to executive officials..."
Aiden promptly turned off the TV, taking another sip of coffee. The purple fragment dangled about his neck. "Looks like I'll have to keep myself busy.." Aiden said to himself with a smile. He quickly dressed himself in his white and blue robes, making his way downstairs and outside to his bike. The dome sported artificial sunlight, to give it a more homey feeling, when in actuality, it was always rather dark outside of the dome ever since the incident had taken place. Aiden sped off towards Seira's apartment, fixing his clothes as he entered the elevator as it lifted him to the top floor. As the doors opened her living quarters became visible to him. "Hello.......? Anyone home? He said slightly raising his voice. Aiden briefly looked around as if snooping about a strangers house. He did show up rather unannounced.
