Okay guys I know this is early as the summer event isn't even over yet but I want to give ourselves a lot of time to ramp up things for Halloween. It's looking like the event, unless they pull a complete and total jerk move on us, will either be straight up Gino vs Nyx or Humanity as led by Gino vs Nyx. If this is the case then we need to do some heavy recruiting on behalf of humanity, GOSH, and Gaia. That means things like little signature banners, ramped up anonymous gifting runs, and anything we can do to get the word out about the GOSH group and the GCA in general.
It also means we have to do way more fundraising between the end of the summer event and nearly the start of the Halloween event. We'll need more gold and more items, especially things like current year letters, in order to attract more people to our cause. This could be huge for the GCA and if we play our cards right we could have an explosion of new members. I kind of want our group to be seen as leaders in this event like certain groups were for Barton for the last Rejected Olympics. I know the Nyx group is going to go big and we need to be able to go toe to toe with them for our Halloween event thread.
So here's what we'll need to do before October 1:
✖ Work up some type of slogans for the GCA, Gaia, and the GOSH group. ✖ Come up with graphics to use in order to promote our side and show our support for Gino and the rest of the GOSH gang. ✖ Find an artist willing to make a single chibi of Gino or a small chibi group shot of Edmund and the GOSH gang to use in event thread banners (it's not a make or break deal but it would be nice as I liked the personal touch the D-Party had with art in their thread layout). ✖ Figure out some type of recruiting and promotional strategy for the GOSH side and our guild.
On October 1 I really want to switch things up into high gear and put the group into recruiting and promotional mode. That's when we start to really get our name and our side out there. If we can possibly make it a joint effort with other like minded groups like the D-Party and any active members of the Gino fan thread and Edmund's Sexy Party we'll stand a better chance at getting more support for the human side.
Here's what we need to do up to just before the event:
✖ Do some major fundraising. ✖ Work up our Halloween thread.
So we don't have to start working on Halloween right this second but we should be thinking of a good strategy to have during the pre-Halloween buildup. The sooner we start working on it after the Festival is over the better off we'll be.

Halloween is usually the event that ties in with the actual plot. We should try our best to make a good team hq.
If it's a vs event like last Halloween, we may want to plan for a healing place too.

Hassli Halloween is usually the event that ties in with the actual plot. We should try our best to make a good team hq. If it's a vs event like last Halloween, we may want to plan for a healing place too. Last Halloween, even though not everyone was on the same side, the Barton guild I'm in had two healing threads. It helped to give us a place to hang with our guildies away from the action in the main event forum thread I was running. So if we have bases and healing and such then we should get people who work the hospital and in base strategy thread and people whose job will be to attack the other side.
Each thread should share similar posts but at the same time be unique for each forum they'll be in. That way our message stays consistent while each thread works for whatever forums they'll give us.

I don't know what I'll be able to do *during* the event, so I'll help with that I can for the pre-event. Maybe I can do banners or something like that.

At the very least I just want people to show up and participate. People who are helping to host this event won't be expected to do things for the next event. If you're going to be busy with schoolwork at that time then you can help by doing pre-event promotional work, IE posting around with a promotional banner in the signature space and simply getting the word out about the GCA in any thing relating to Halloween event chatter.

i was thinking we should plan for it invade its team Nyx vs team gaia is what I meant. Oh most definitely we attack team Nyx, We'll just need a good support staff on hand but we'll also need to get people to want to seek us out during the event which is why we spend the build up period getting our good name out there and working in conjunction with other groups like the D-Party when the event comes about. If it is a battle event then we'll definitely need a daytime group and an overnight group within the greater Gaia side. Having that for Barton kept us from falling to third place in the last Rejected Olympics. Plus, we'll definitely need to switch it up with who's attacking and who's healing so we're not exhausting our resources too quickly and keeping the Nyx group on their toes.

Hassli yeah! We will definitely need to set up a battle plan! And that's what all of September is going to be for, plotting and planning and figuring out who can do what. We let the college kids in the Alliance get used to their schedules and workloads and know when they can be on and the high school kids get back into the groove of things. This way we can be prepared ahead of time if there's going to be separate team forums and if it's going to be a battle system event or an event like we're having now but with prizes to be won.
This makes me think we should start prepping some type of basic unified look for our group during the event so we can easily spotted by others and start wearing our pins more as we get closer to the event.

Since I'm going to be making a healing thread anyways for Halloween if we have separate faction forum's, I could run one for the GCA then Chibi.

I'll donate some items for sure to the group to help with the gold. Maybe we should do another kickstarter? I can always ump up the old one if need be! If we do, I think we certainly should ask for a bigger number this time.
Also for the thread if we make it, I'd like to tell spooky fortunes. I may do a small fee and have people send the gold to the group.
