APPEARANCE

Hair Style: Short and messy, not at all well kept. If he's intensely concentrating, he will use pair pins and bobbypins to pin up his bangs so they don't get in the way of SERIOUS CALCULATIONS.
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 175
Body Shape: Adam is relatively out of shape. Unable to run very well, fatigued easily under loads. He is lanky with a small beer belly.
Piercings/Tats: Most of his face appears to be metal. Ref coming. Adam enjoys piercings and gets them frequently. He has a good majority out during missions and on the base. Don't want to get into a fight and some a-hole rip one out of your face. His hip bones are pierced as well as his collar bone. Tats are more encompassing. Both of his arms and hands have anatomically accurate bones drawn on the tops and bottom in white ink. Under black lights his arm bones then 'glow'. Hence the nickname Bones. That and he was ridiculously skinny in high school. In the middle of his back are two marionette sticks (Ref coming), with snapped lines running down and along his back and sides.
Scars: Peppered across his body. Noticeably on his left hip there is a long one that runs to the front of his knee, as well as his right hand and wrist. Adam also has a few minor scars on his chest and back, all from fighting.
Note worth features: Nose is broken and noticeably crooked. Has a heart shaped face and tends to shaves as soon as any stubble appears. Literally. Any stubble. It'll be gone. Absolutely despises beards/facial hair (on himself).
Clothing! - If he's not stuck in rocket-gear, Adam tends to wear comfortable clothing. Comfort > Fashion. Usually black or gray, and sometimes dabbled with EYE SEARING NEON ACCENTS. (Will come up with better refs but general gist is Adam cares not for his appearance). Usually always has a belt cause loose pants and no belt = buns airing in the breeze. At night he likes to wear plaid pajama pants and no shirt. If he can get away with it he might lounge around like that all day.
BODY LANGUAGE
Posture: Tends to slouch backwards with hands in pockets or crossed over his chest.
Gestures: likes to motion with his hands when using big words or trying to explain things. Very talkative handwise. Rubs the back of his neck when embarrassed.
Habits: Wiggles his lip ring when bored or idle for too long. Hums to himself frequently, especially when working on things. Nibbles on his right thumb when seriously thinking about things.

PRE-ROCKET HISTORY
Childhood - Birth to 10 years old.
Adam's first memory is sitting in a room with a gaggle of other children, all of them different looking than the next, eating applesauce and laughing at a joke mom made. Being a foster child was not an easy life. Self-realization comes too fast to a kid who watched television. All the family members look similar. Why don't mine? Why are my parents called guardians? Doesn't everyone have a social worker? Or a case worker? Peers are particularly hard on them too. So it wasn't long before Adam understood who or what he was in the eyes of society. His last name Orvell was the only information he had of his birth parents.
At the age of seven Adam was put in a foster home situation that went very wrong. They were caught, and the abuse did not last long, but the impact was permanent. What had been a happy boy, came out very very angry. Destructive, rebellious habits and general rage towards all authority figures filled his days. Therapy was given and while it helped, there was still a lot of deep issues that they were incapable to touching. Not only the pain of having been moved from family to family, as the system works, but then to be betrayed by that system? Adam had lost his trust in others and himself.
Teenage - 11 - 17
One can predict that a child, exposed and going through such trauma, would be a difficult teen. They're right. He was shuffled to a few more foster homes until, at the age of 14, he came to the home he would be in until he turned 18. During that period of instability his social workers set up pokemon therapy. Having a fun Growlithe to snuggle into or a Haunter to make you laugh really did lift his spirits. It was one of the treats that Adam worked hard to be good for.
Even with that therapy, the family struggled with Adam. He was constantly in trouble at home and in school. The only thing that kept him even remotely in line was the threat of military school and losing his poketherapy. Adam toed the line just enough to stay out of such a situation.
Despite being in trouble, Adam was oddly popular in school. He was the class clown, the one who would willingly and eagerly challenge the bullies to a fight, and the one kid you knew you could call on to stir a little trouble. Adam was liked because he did what they didn't want to for fear of punishment. He had friends, but since they never got close, most left after a while. That as fine by Adam. He was just as happy being alone as he was in a crowd. Fighting was as fun as laughing.
At 16 he began to calm down. Still rebellious and angry, he funneled his attention to other things. This included computer programming, program writing, and music. He threw himself headfirst into learning about music and computers, which lead to an unhealthy obsession with techno music. Going under the handle T3L3PH0N1C he sold tracks to local clubs, in exchange for money or beer.
The only other thing that helped curb his feelings and make him happy was alcohol. He fell into the habit fast and hard. Adam was cautious and never showed up at home drunk. Doing so would send him off for sure or to rehab. Both things he did not want. Clubs and shady figures supplied his habit, leading him down a dangerous road. Pokemon made it more difficult to disguise the smell of beer. A couple times he was caught and punished, but being caught made him sneakier until he could get away with it more often than not.
At the age of 16, he was solicited by a Team Rocket recruiter. Along with the music, Adam had made a few minor computer applications and some (poor) hacking attempts. He was on their radar and they were interested in him joining (or at the very least were throwing out feelers). Adam refused. He might be angry, but he didn't want to reach that point. Not yet. There was still a tiny bit of hope left.
Recent Past History - 18 to Rocket History Start.
Graduating High school led to a pretty big and important moment. He was no longer a ward of the state. As an adult, he was on his own. They of course supplied him with plenty of resources and help. It was the bad habits Adam picked up and the anger that still laid right below the surface that ruined the whole deal.
Angry? Drink. Drinking? Spend money. Spend Money? No money for food/rent. The cycle continued for months, barely scraping by money to survive, barely holding onto his job, until... It snapped. He lost his job, which just made him angrier. The world had wronged him from the minute, the very second, he had been conceived. Homeless, he sought out the Rockets. No more hope. Screw the world. Adam was going to make himself happy first and foremost.
ROCKET HISTORY
Financial: meager savings. Spends most money on Alcohol or Computers. Oddly favors fresh food compared to junk food. (trainer note: Definitely need to watch intake of Alcohol.)
Skills: Computer saavy with some base knowledge in programming and hacking. Musically inclined. Poor health and Poor physicality. (trainer note: What the hell. This kid is a twig I could snap him in a second. Jeesh.)
Placement: Technology department (trainer note: Might be good in the field.)
PPT: (Pokemon Personality Test) Trainer material for sure, has a fondness of pokemon. Limited training experience. (trainer note: definitely not someone to throw into a recapture mission. Could be good with some practice.)

POSITIVE TRAITS
Inventive
Adam was never one to have a lot of money, either from just poor living circumstances or having spent most of it on booze. Because of that, any issue he ran into that normally would require a purchase, Adam had to go 'low-tech'. MacGyver it, if you will. He has some knowledge with mechanical things, from having to repair his own computers or repair his bike. Going for a creative solution and working with materials on hand is just second nature for Adam. "Upcycling" was his mode of operation.
Outgoing
Okay, seriously. Does this dude EVER shut up? No, not really. Adam is amazingly outgoing, a very extroverted personality that thrives by talking or engaging others. Sometimes it can be a detriment, 'cause wowza this dude just has no stop switch. If it goes into Adam's mind it most likely will come out of his mouth. Filter? Yeah, no.
Reliable
Despite what one might think, Adam is pretty reliable. He never let down the clubs who hired him for work. He was willing to put in the effort for those few people in his life that were friends. Either way, if you give Adam a task and sufficient pay or challenge, he will see it through to the end. If you're a friend, which is a rare moniker for Adam to distribute to others, then he will be there for you through thick or thin.
Observant
Having to hide all the time as a kid and being around a motley crew of assorted adults and teens, Adam has a very keen observation skill. Coupled with his general intelligence, he can piece together stories and peek between the lines of what people are saying. He is also able to notice if a situation is going south and whether he wants to push it further or back away.
However, he's not 100% great at observing things and sometimes he can ******** up when he didn't even intend to.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
Faithless
The world has s**t on this kid one too many time. From a young age Adam has doubted the system, and other people, deeply. For him, there is just one solution and one god. He finds it at the bottom of each bottle.
Avoidant
Why deal with the future when you can have fun now? Sure, you don't have money for food, and your shoes are worn out, but at least you had fun last night! What will the future bring? Will his body handle the abuse it has been handled. Discussing the past or the future are two hot triggers to Adam. He would rather avoid it all, and live in a bliss filled world of his own creation. When s**t catches up to him, it will. Until then, well... It's time for another round.
Aggressive
Adam's outgoing nature can turn into antagonism in a heartbeat, especially if the person who he is interacting with greets him with anger. He rarely takes no for an answer, and if he does it's with deep grumbles. Fighting is just as fun as laughing. Since he takes everything in stride, he's totally down for a rough house or full blown fist fight.
Trouble Maker
Pushing people's buttons is seriously fun. He likes to watch how people will react to him, because fighting IS as fun as laughing. So any reaction is guaranteed to be a blast. Sometimes he says things he purposely knows will piss people off, or does things to push someone a little in one direction.

History: Manny was the first pokemon Adam got as a Rocket. They've grown very close and enjoy one anothers company. While being a ghost, Manny is extremely shy and so frequently hides behind his trainer. After the Arceus Egg incident, they have grown closer yet.
Manny fears evolution for he does not know how his personality will be effected. Manny recently evolved and has found his personality hasn't changed much. He's more confident and more willing to express himself to Adam. He's also proud of their bond together and is very much excited to be his partner. They're best friends.
And yes, he still has a crush on a purrloin named Kiruri.

History: Maki was originally a part of a group of growlithe preforming for a circus act. However, Maki was not as docile as the others and was harder to control. His life consisteted of hard punishments, lost meals, and being caged.
That was up until Adam stole him (still in progress). life as a rocket pokemon is better and Maki has been adjusting well, or as well as he can. He is a bit uncontrollable and still has a hard time taking orders, but is improving daily.
