"Immortality...

.... is SIEZED by the legendary."

████████████████████████████████████

Thanks to whoever had performed the intelligence to create the scroll, finding the lair of the rogue Shinobi was relatively easy. The only problem was that it was a massive mountain called the Grand Mountain in Lightning Country. He had heard stories of how dangerous the lightning storms in the area could be, since it was so close to the sky. Even closer than most things in Kumogakure. Searching the entire mountain, including the caves, would be a task that Jeyan wasn’t exactly up to doing himself. Without needing to form handseals, three Wind Clones materialized beside their creator. It was still be a daunting task with four Shinobi searching the mountains, but they were only looking for traces of the man in the first sweep. They didn’t need to actually find him until Jeyan was certain of his location. So, just like that, the four of them fanned out along the paths of the mountain.

The first clone’s search was rather uneventful. Since there were four paths through the mountains, he chose the one to the far west. West wasn’t typically a favored direction apparently because he didn’t even come across any flora or fauna. It was a barren path that almost looked as if it had experienced one too many lightning strikes. Every step the clone took shook up a handful of dust and debris. As the clone scanned the ground it didn’t come across any footprints or anything. It almost felt as if the others had abandoned him as well. ”I would be the one to pick the path least followed…” He mumbled. It was alright that he didn’t find anyone, though. After several minutes passed without finding any sort of evidence, the clone broke out in a sprint. It made it easier to cover a lot of land that way. By the time he came to the end of the path, Jeyan’s first clone hadn’t found anything. It was as if Lin had never even contemplated going that far. As he peered up, the clone watched as clouds began to converge on the mountain peak. It dispersed.

The second clone had taken the second path, of course. It was northwest through the mountain. The path was riddled with goats and other animals that dwelled high in the peaks. Many birds passed overhead as he examined the land. There were a few objects that implied someone had been there earlier. There was a bow sitting against a massive stone with a plethora of arrows all around it. There was also blood all around the area. The clone moved toward one of the bloodstains and placed his gloved finger in the puddle. It felt thinner than human blood and it was of a slightly lighter shade of red. It was apparent that someone, probably Lin, had gone hunting for food in the mountains. After that, though, the second clone didn’t find any other information worthy of reporting back to Jeyan. As it prepared to disperse, the clone witnessed several dark clouds form above him. A storm was coming, without a doubt. It dispersed as well.

The third path was, without a doubt, took the third path. The third path went into a system of caves in the northeast portion of the mountainous range. The caves weren’t very dark, as there were many openings all along the ceilings. They were dry and there weren’t any strange creatures of note in the caves. As the third clone traversed the path, he heard several footprints echo through the caves. Then he heard words. ”They haven’t come for me in a long time. I bet they’ve finally realized that I’m too strong for their pesky hunter-nin to handle… Maybe I can leave soon…” The clone listened to the entirety of his message as it moved deeper into the cave. Since the sound in the caves bounced from wall to wall, the third clone was unable to pinpoint the exact area in which the voice was coming from. It just went further and further into the caves until thunder rumbled from outside. ”A storm? Not right now… It wasn’t supposed to rain the entire week.” Numerous heavy footsteps pounded against the cave floor as Lin came running in the clone’s direction. The clone hid around a corner and watched as the rogue Shinobi sprinted out of the cave and looked up at the sky. Raindrops pelted his body as he began to make his way toward the eastern path. The clone dispersed incredibly quickly. Jeyan needed to know that Lin was coming his way before the outlaw could get there.

Jeyan had taken the eastern path of his own accord. He figured it would be the most likely to have some sort of life in it. He was correct, too. There was moss everywhere. Birds lined the skies above his head and other mountain creatures frolicked before him. It was straight out of some sort of artistic masterpiece. It was a shame that he had to kill a man in front of all of the animals, but that was his duty. And he knew the Raikage was watching, so he got to work. Jeyan traversed the path, coming across various items and objects that struck him as odd and out of place. The first thing he found was a round ball of all kinds of different colors. Upon closer examination, there was something wet and clear that was spread all over the ball. It felt as if it was saliva, but that didn’t make any sense to Jeyan. He chalked it up to abnormalities as he went further along the eastern path. The next anomaly he uncovered was a bunch of firewood in a gigantic pile. What was odd was there were no trees in the area; it was a mountain. ”This gets more and more strange with every passing moment." By the time thirty minutes had passed, dark clouds were beginning to form in the sky. All of the animals that had originally been on the eastern path had all but disappeared and two of his clones had dispersed, finding nothing of any note but a bow and a few arrows. That added to the Hyuuga’s confidence in his path, though. He knew his path was more likely to be Lin’s hiding place. As he contemplated where the man would be, something quite odd materialized in the distance. A wooden cabin, hundreds of feet in front of him, seemed to come out of nowhere. How had he not noticed a cabin the entire time? It would have explained the abnormal amount of wood, but not the fact that there were no trees. And why would someone build a wooden cabin in the Grand Mountain? Jeyan activated his Byakugan as he closed the distance between himself and Lin’s apparent abode. When he came close enough to peer through the windows with his Kekkei Genkai, Jey saw something he never expected. Inside was a mother giving milk to her baby. It was such a surprise that it knocked Jeyan off balance.

There was no way Lin had had a baby and a wife. The intelligence said nothing about the potential danger of having to kill an innocent woman and baby. How would he get rid of Lin without scarring the family for life? Just then, the black clouds that had formed began to create heavy rainfall and the third and final clone dispersed. The information the third clone had acquired was crucial. Lin was on the move, and even better, he was on his way back to the cabin. Jeyan would meet him head-on. But how would he deal with the family? He had to do something. The Chuunin turned away from the cabin and watched as Lin sprinted onto the seen, covering his hand with a cloak of some kind. When their eyes met, Jeyan seemed to strike fear into Lin. The rogue hadn’t expected another hunter-nin to come after him. But Jeyan wasn’t a hunter-nin, yet. He was simply a Kumo Shinobi who had a job to perform. ”Lin, I’m sorry to inform you, but you’re wanted by Kumogakure and the Lightning Country on charges of attempted murder and treason. Your punishment will be death.” Jeyan unsheathed his blade and pointed it at Lin. The rainfall covered most of his words but Lin knew exactly what Jeyan was saying. It was time for him to die for his crimes.

Lin snarled and dropped the cloak. On his body were three blades, each a different length and width. He unsheathed all three of them, placing the smallest blade (a dagger) in his mouth and two katana in his hands. According to the report Lin was not to be trifled with in a close quarters battle. But he had never met Jeyan; one of the most skilled Weapon’s Specialists’s in Kumogakure as far as he knew. Lin charged at the Hyuuga Shinobi. He was much faster than Jeyan would have guessed based on appearance, but the Kumo-nin was faster. He waited for the distance between the two of them to close before making his move. He brought his katana up to block Lin’s three-blade onslaught. The two of them stood face-to-face before Lin spun off of the ground, bringing both katana down in an attempt to split Jeyan in thirds. The boy manipulated the wind (as Fuuton Masters were prone to do) and performed the Air Pocket Bursts Technique, knocking the rogue off trajectory. In the moment of weakness when Lin was off balance Jeyan slammed his blade into the man’s gut, impaling him. Blood splattered everywhere as Lin’s three swords dropped in the puddles created by the storm. In another sweep of his sword, Jeyan removed the rogue Shinobi’s head. The Raikage was surely watching so Jeyan gave the man his rights relatively quickly before proceeding to get rid of the body.

Getting rid of the body wasn’t a hard task. It began with removing all of the limbs with his katana and then removing the eyes and tongue. After that, Jeyan cut the limbs into even smaller portions before scattering them in the puddles around the cabin. The rain would allow them to sink deep into the ground and deteriorate over the course of a day or so. Using a low-level Katon technique, he burned the tongue and the eyes into nothingness and turned to the cabin. The young Shinobi made sure the family hadn’t seen the heinous acts he had performed to Lin just under their noses. He couldn’t bear to explain why he had killed the baby’s father. Even though he was a criminal, his family didn’t seem to know or care. They still loved him and that was the part that got to Jeyan. He quickly left the cabin grounds and moved toward the portion of the mountain where the four paths met. There, he awaited the Raikage, who would definitely have something to say about the way he had handled the mission. It was done in less than a few hours so, at the very least, it was time-efficient.

"Not bad at all. Had I known he would have been such easy prey I would have sent for him long ago" Said the clone of Toshiko as it materialized from a cloud of Iron Sand that had been drifting around area. The clone did not wear the standard white robes of the Raikage, but his time wore a ragged brown clock, torn in many places. ON its face sat the chipped and dented mask of an Oinin. "Your technique was interesting, but I recommend next time making four clones instead of three, and keeping your self in a centralized location. What if he had been on the eastern most path and the real you on the western most path? He would have slipped away before you could traverse the vast mountain. But you did defeating him and disposing of his body in such a quick manner."

The clone reached into the folds of its cloak for a moment, and held out its hand, revealing the mask of an Oinin in the shape of a tiger. "A tiger to match the ferocity with which you fight, it seems fitting."

The Hyuuga Shinobi took the words of the Raikage to heart and would definitely work on his efficiancy in finding his targets. He also took the compliments in and was rather happy that he had done a suitable job. When the Oinin mask was revealed Jeyan actually showed a smile. He bowed to the Raikage yet again as he received the mask and placed it on his face simply to see how well it fit and how he felt in it. It was perfect. "Thank you, Raikage." He found himself at an empasse, though. "What would you have me do now?" He had a few ideas himself, but he wanted to quickly get into helping the village in any way he could. Jeyan had spent enough time relaxing before taking on that mission.

"Kyon! Hurry, hurry! Come up quick!" She yelled. The man was slowly climbing up behind her, his legs tired and his hips aching. His eyes were narrowed, only barely kept from closing. Even though he had a lot more spiritual energy than she did, Mayu always had more physical stamina than him. How else could she possibly look so unhinged by this ridiculous climb? They had gotten... what, miles up by now? They were in the damn stratosphere. It was getting harder to breathe, it was getting hotter and <********> he felt like at any moment he was going to get struck by a bolt of lightning or frozen over by some cloud.

"I found their camp," she said. "Do you see over there, in the distance, by the cliffside? There's a tiny oddity where the sun's light seems to be focused in one area, just where our line of vision would otherwise fade. I don't think that's sunlight; I think that's artificial lighting emerging from the cave." She was eager to see an end to this. Kyon was too, and he was also impressed by the rebels method of hiding. They would glide down every morning from the top of this cliff, thousands of feet in the air, and then return to one of their Flying Thunder God seals when their work was done. No one would ever suspect to find them in such a remote location, and so far. But, Mayu and Kyon did. They had listened in on a folk-tale about a man with the wings of a bird, emerging from the sky.

They knew that was an option, if not a strong possibility. They knew that if they went to the mountain that he emerged from, they may find something. "I'll jump down and prepare to flood the cave with acid. You station yourself overhead near the entrance of the cave. If he goes in, you jump down and smash him in. That sound like a plan?" He looked at her, and they both smiled slightly. "Ne, that's a plan." They both crouched and began to slowly, move along the rocks until they were within twenty feet of the cave. Mayu could feel a weakness in some of the rocks lining the top, and she smoothed her palm against the surface just to be sure. Yes -- they were fragile, as if they could be done in at any moment. She wondered why he might've chosen such a cave. Did he not notice, or was he hoping someone would fall for this potential, elaborate trap? She was not sure, but if he was prepared already, then that meant either plan would spike in difficulty. She simply went with her first instinct, raising her fist and then smashing against the rocks, collapsing the entrance of the cave and locking the man in. Kyon and Mayu could hear a yell from inside, the yelp of a man who had just rapidly become extremely alert.

The thing was, Uzumaki could read disturbances in the energy, and now that they were this close, he would surely notice that they were here. "Keep your distance from him. Keep moving; if you stand still, he may bind you." Some words didn't need to be shared as well, and so they didn't say them. Don't enter the cave, was one. Don't hit the rocks, another. Don't melt them, a third. If they entered, they could really be trapped. If they impacted the rocks, they could react negatively and kill one of them, as a part of some chakra-based ability. If they melted the rocks out of impatience, they may free their prey. The issue here was that they weren't sure if he had Flying Thunder God seals anywhere else, so technically, he could simply vanish at any moment and they would have no ability to catch him and kill him. Uzumaki were crafty people that were extremely hard to catch; it was a good thing that they were usually so good-spirited, like Christian, who had become the academy teacher at the largest Kumo institution. This man on the other hand, well, they weren't sure if he was good or evil. But he rejected their government, and so they were commissioned to kill him; the Gemini of the Cloud.

After a while, they grew incredibly anxious. There was no more sound coming from the cave. Things had been completely stagnant, without a movement of the rocks or anything. They couldn't directly feel a change in chakra, although that was most likely because they had no real, reliable sensory capabilities. "I'm hungry," she remarked. Minutes became hours, waiting outside of this cave. If this man was still here, he was patient. They were not, however, and they had at least accomplished a portion of their goal here. Mayu decided that she would begin to return home, especially now that Kyon had finally recovered from the walk up here. "He probably went far away somewhere. We're going to need Christian to deal with this. There's no way a non-Uzumaki can deal with an Uzumaki. They'll just keep teleporting everywhere." She turned around, and began to walk down the dirt path that led to the base of the mountain. After several steps, however, she noticed a 'beep' beneath her. Immediately -- she knew.

"Oh, ********> Kyon welded handseals instantly, and created a sphere of water around her; at the moment after its completion, the mine set off and sent her crashing against the wall to the left of her. A major chunk of the cliffeside began to descend to the ground, and the foundation began to shake. Then, the shinobi appeared, sneaking up behind Kyon and attempting to kill him in one blow. The raven-haired man turned around and split acid in his face, but he missed as the man ducked under and smashed his palm against Kyon's chest, leaving a seal behind. "It's FTG!" he yelled. You could imagine that such a prospect was horrifying; an anti-Kumo rogue had just placed a seal on his chest where, instantly, at any given moment, he could transport himself to Kyon's direct vicinity and kill him. Mayu began to grow extremely fearful, and the sudden, second disappearance of the Uzumaki only reinforced that feeling. "Mayu, get us the ******** down this mountain! We need to get to someone that can remove this seal!" His sister immediately nodded, and created a funnel of wind that they could use to glide down to the base. She was sure that this wasn't an astounding idea, but they could very easily be killed if they stayed. He would continue to gain more advances, using stealth and subtlety and eventually cornering and killing them.

They began their descent, Kyon extremely aware of their surroundings as Mayu focused the direction of the ball of wind bringing them downward, balancing it against the wind speed and its trajectory. However, as they met the middle of their descent, he emerged once more, balancing himself on their ball of wind, holding a long knuckle-blade in both hands. He slashed down against Kyon, the man blocking it with a quickly-improvised tonfa blade. However, the opponent was quickly capable of retorting such an action, and he covered his blade in wind and began to saw through Kyon's weaponry. "Kaze Bakuhatsu!" Mayu screamed, sending a bomb of wind against the Uzumaki assailant. This sent him staggering as his blade rose to block it, almost throwing him directly off of the orb. Kyon just had to finish the job. "Hosenka no Jutsu!" From his lips emerged several small fireballs, the mythic fireflower technique. The wind of the man's blade and the wind pressing against him immediately ignited, causing a scorching explosion that Mayu took quick advantage of by using the wind propulsion technique to throw her and Kyon off, the explosion behind them further increasing the distance of the rush of wind.

She created another platform for them; another orb of wind that could steer them through the sky. They were not sure what happened to the man as the previous area was covered by smoke, but he did not have a second FTG seal on Kyon, so he was effectively incapable of transporting himself to their location. They were safe. Now, the question was -- did they want to allow him to be safe? "Let's leave," he said, assuring Mayu. "We've bitten off more than we can chew. He's probably Jounin at the least. He'll regenerate his missing energy by the time we find him. We've learned a lot about him, and we can report that to the higher-ups. Don't worry. I'm sure they won't be too mad."

                                                              (1444 Words = 36100 Ryo)

It had been but way too long since the last time the young shinobi had been set upon a journey as taxing as the one he was on now. He had been sent upon a mission drenched in combative possibilities. The young man was not but a Genin. It was his first time ever being sent upon a mission with the possibilities of encountering a danger. This did not matter much to him at all. The man was one of many senses. His capabilities of detection where unlike any other. That was the main reason he had been sent upon the mission at hand. He was one of the few within Kumogakure who was capable of tracking with his nose alone. Let alone, the fact that he had a Byakugan. He was a shinobi who derived from the Inuzuka clan and had blood flowing through him from the Hyuugas. Atop that, he was one of Samurai Discipline. To imply he had some fear of what was to happen would usually come across as an insult to any other brute. Yet, this brute would openly admit to any he withheld a tinge of fear of possible harming himself. He, also, did not like to harm others. But this was his job now. He was a part of the "schemey" shinobi world. It would be virtually impossible for him to avoid the harm of others. Now, with his companion, he found himself on the search of some bandits that had to be out down.
The young shinobi did his best to climb up the mountain range. From the bottom it had seemed as if he had lost his barrings. The smell of those he was after had seemed to have faded away. When the shinobi and his wolf began to climb higher and higher he found himself wrong, for the scents began to grow stronger. There was a handful of men apparently. From where he remained it was hard to tell if these men were plentiful or few. So, he continued his strained ascension up the mountain.
Velox got as far up the mountain as to come across the first two men. Almost as soon as the men had seen him they rushed. He was very thankful for his companion who - at the sight of the first man - pounced. The wolf latched onto the throat of the first man and tore it asunder. The next man drew a blade with the intent to hack at the young shinobi's companion. Velox was in no way going to allow his companion to fall. The samurai drew his primary weapon: a katana. It was with this weapon he would deter the thief's attack. Repelling it with some strength, he found himself the opening to slash the tip of the blade across the man's abdomen. The disembowelment of one lead to the appearance of a third. The boy cursed. He had not an idea how many there were, still.
As the third drew near, the boy finally activated his bloodline trait. It gave him great pleasure to find that there were but a total of three men left to deal with. The one which came at him now was rather huge in stature. The young man did not like the devastating looks of the being before him. His hesitated for just a moment. And, in this moment of hesitation, the massive foe caught him off guard and nearly landed a blow. Velox silently thanked his god of worship for his extra-sensory abilities for he so narrowly escaped a fatal blow from an ax. The awkward movement of such a dodge rendered him upon his a**. He grunted upon impact and found himself rolling to avoid another swing, as the man attempted to come down vertically. The ax blade for itself stuck within the hard, mountain rock. As the larger man struggled to removed his halted blade, the younger man took the opportunity to move. With a swift motion of his sword he took the hands of the giant clean off. A bewildered howl spewed from the man's mouth as he dropped to a knee. In that moment Velox did something he thought he would never had done: he beheaded his enemy. This brought him a strange form of delight.
He could see the next one charging at him clearly as day, even though it was from behind. Though, this enemy withheld a weapon that would give the young shinobi a run for his money. The man withheld a crossbow. The bow fired of a series of bolts that came in waves of threes. The first three aimed straight for the back of Velox. He rolled, but one flew toward his blind-spot. He thought there were only two, and found one lodge in his shoulder blade. The young man howled like a wolf. In hearing the howl, the man stopped. This gave the boy's companion enough time to lunged for the man and latched onto his Achilles' tendon. The wolf brought the man down as Velox walked over to deliver the final blow. As soon as he had, the last of the thugs appeared. He grimaced at the pain radiating from his wound. Even so, he lurked forward towards the last of the bunch. A woman?
He stopped dead in his tracks. This could not be so? He was confused. Until he found an arrow lunged into his right arm. "You b***h!" he exclaimed as he and his companion charged the woman. The next arrow withheld enough strength to know his primary weapon from his grasp. This did not deter the shinobi for he continued forward; his secondary weapon hidden within his gauntlets. He had speed over the woman, and he knew it.
She had been readying for her next arrow when he appeared before her. She fired. He was close enough in range to dodge the arrow with ease and counter her. Right after the dodge followed a palm strike. It was more than the usual Hyuuga palm. The shinobi had a blade which slid out from beneath his wrist and into the chest of the woman the moment of impact. He did not want to, but he looked her in the eyes as her mouth began to bubble and trickle blood. Before this, he was not a killer. He feared a fight. But, something within him changed the moment he and his companion were attacked. For whatever reason, he liked this change. It empowered him - he felt - to be much more than what he once was.
As the woman fell to the ground he turned to his companion. "Our mission here is done," he spoke as he began to make his descent down the mountain. He would return to the village to receive both his payment and medical attention. The pain would only continue to grow as his own blood fled away from him.

At the mountain Bentley's journey had just begun as he had to scale the mountain face with no gear. At certain points he almost fell down the mountain, losing his balance. By the time he got to the top he was dripping sweat harder than he was after his last fight, which was surprising because all he did was jog and climb for the whole time without using chakra. At the peak there was a clearing that had signs of many ninja staying there for a pretty long time like utensils, ninja tools and other accessories left behind. He sat down and began to meditate in this place, the closest point in the world to the thunder god, Raijin. After three minutes he decided to start focusing his Raiton sage chakra, causing lightning to spark around him and all over his body. The air was much thinner and harder to breathe this high but the closeness of the clouds made his lightning much stronger, and caused lightning bolts to strike around him and with each boom of thunder he started to actually hear the voice of Raijin himself for the first time. There was a sudden strike of lightning that hit his body but did not hurt him, in fact it felt good. He felt a warm power all over his body as the lightning encased his whole body. he started hearing deep pitched whispers that were very confusing and overlapping, he kept trying to focus harder on them and the lightning coursing through his body simultaneously for several minutes. Then another bolt struck him again causing him to absorb even more and now it was putting a lot of strain on his body and chakra control. His body began trembling after a minute and he began sweating profusely until he heard another thunder boom. This time it was accompanied by a loud booming voice that shadowed over the thunder.
“RAKURAI!”
his body jumped in shock as he tried to comprehend what was going on
“IT IS YOUR FATHER RAIJIN”
now all of Bentley's attention was on the voice of his god and father.
“I HAVE CALLED YOU HERE TO GIVE YOU MY BLESSING, YOU HAVE PROVED YOURSELF TO BE MY ONLY WORTHY SON. YOUR BENEVOLENCE, PURITY OF HEART, AND FAITHFULNESS TO YOUR GOD ARE UNPARRALLELED IN THE SHINOBI WORLD. I FORSAW YOUR TRAITS, WHICH IS WHY I BLESSED YOU WITH IMMENSE CHAKRA AND POWER FROM BIRTH TO EE IF THE HUNGER FOR MORE POWER WOULD LEAD YOU ASTRAY. YOU HAVE PASSED THIS TEST AND SO I SHALL NOW BLESS YOU FURTHER WITH MY PRESENCE... AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW MY WILL.”
Bentley's eyes teared up as he heard the words of praise from his god, his faith was increased tenfold once he was given confirmation of his beliefs. He thought to his lord knowing he could read his thoughts.
“whatever tests you have laid out for me, I have passed and I will continue to never fail you no matter what.”
“GOOD. I EXPECT NOTHING LESS FROM MY SERVANT. THE BANDITS WERE YOUR FIRST TESTS FOR WEALTH, WHICH YOU YOU PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS. THE WEALTH ITSELF WAS A TEST TO SEE YOUR HEART WHEN GIVEN POWER, AND YOU PASSED. THE TRIP HERE WAS THE THIRD TEST TO SEE IF YOU HAD ENOUGH FAITH TO FOLLOW ME EVEN WHEN I DID NOT GIVE YOU DIRECT ORDERS, YOU FOUND YOUR WAY HERE AND PROVED YOUR STRENGTH BY SCALING THE MOUNTAIN. FOR PASSING THOSE TESTS THIS IS YOUR BLESSING, YOU MAY SPEAK TO ME AT ANY TIME FROM THIS SPOT OR MY TEMPLE. I WILL CONTINUE TO TEST AND REWARD YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE AND AS LONG AS YOU FOLOW ME I WILL NOT LET YOU BE PUNISHED. YOUR NEXT TEST.... IS TO CHALLENGE THE SERVANT OF MY RIVAL; ICHIJIN. YOU KNOW THIS MAN WELL, HE IS DENI UCHIHA, YOUR COUSIN. ICHIJIN AND I ARE BROTHERS AND HAVE BEEN RIVALS FOR CENTURIES, JUST AS YOU AND YOUR COUSIN WILL BE. WE HAVE NOT WARRED WITH EACHOTHER IN A LONG TIME BUT WE USE OUR SERVANTS AS BEACONS OF OUR POWWER AND THEREFORE HAV THEM FIGHT FOR US. THIS MAY SEEM PETTY BUT IT MAINTAINS ORDER IN THE HEAVENS AND EARTH, ALL WILLL BE EXPLAINED LATER. IF YOU CHALLENGE HIM AND FIGHT FOR ME I WILL BLESS YOU WITH EVEN MORE POWER... I WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT IT IS, BUT DURING THE FIGHT YOU WILL KNOW, AND THANK ME. ALONG WITH THE POWER I WILL GIVE YOU, I WILL GRANT YOU MY PRESENCE ANY TIME YOU PRAY TO ME, NOT JUST IN HOLY PLACES. IF YOU KILL HIM OR WIN THE BATTLE I WILL GIVE YOU AN EVEN GREATER GIFT BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARY.”
Rai swallowed hard, nervous about the thought of fighting his own family but the thought of killing him was reprehensible. He knew his cousin was not as merciful as him so the fight could very well end up going til death, but he would try not to let that happen at all.
“I refuse to ever kill my family unless they are completely evil, even for you my lord. I love them too much, but I will challenge him to a duel for you, as your servant I will defeat him at any cost besides life itself.”
Raijin chuckled thunderously before responding.
“AS I EXPECTED MY SON, YOUR MERCY IS SOMETHING EVEN I ADMIRE AS MOST MEN IN THIS WORLD WOULD CUT ANY MAN DOWN FOR PROMISES OF POWER. THAT IS WHY I LOVE YOU.”
Bentley's eyes opened then in shock to what he had heard, filled with tears. Suddenly the trance was over because his eye opened and the lightning around his body was fading away quickly. He smiled and wiped the tears out of his eyes. This was the best day of his life and the worst, he came almost face to face with god himself but at the same time was forced to commit to fighting his cousin in a real duel. This would be the first time they had fought since they were very young, and knowing Fuuton's advantage over Raiton, this would be very difficult for him being a sage.
He stood up and walked around thinking of where to find his cousin until he heard Raijin's familiar voice say.
“PATIENCE”
he decided to wait in this spot to see if Deni would also be guided to this spot by Ichijin for their duel, which would make the job much easier as he hadnt seen his cousin in months.

Bentley looked around as he waited for a few hours but got impatient and stood up to leave. out of the corner of his eye he saw a patch of lush herbs, and walked towards them, they smelled great so e plucked a bunch of herbs out of the ground and put them in his pocket to carry away with him. once he finished he walked toward the ledge of the mountain and jumped, running and sliding his feet down the mountain while focusing his chakra to his feet. he made it down the mountain in a fraction of the time it took to get up. once he got to the bottom he walked towards the border unsure of what to do next.
