Armelle normally took a different rout home, but she coudl tell her eyes were about to drop on her, so she went for the more direct rout. Little did she know she would be half way from where her eyes stated and home before poof, her sight finally faded into black.
Armelle was now lost, and unable to see anything around her. On top of it she wondered off from her friend, leaving her behind. Not that her friend would be much help in the new area. She got lost in their own back yard...
It seemed like minutes became hours as she slowly made her way along what she hoped was still the path. She could not feel the cold yet of snow, and when she felt grass underfoot she changed to get back on path. It was a long and tedious trek, much slower at this point since her pace was over halved. Each sound made her jump and pause, trying to figure out what it was before moving on. If sh ran into a Kalona, she would meet the same fate as her friend long ago, becoming lunch.
Beig helpless was not Armelle's choice in life. She was always a spirited child, wondering off, roaming around, now, she could not even see most of the time. This made it hard for her to get out like she used to, not and really explore new places. She just stuck to paths she knew. Why did she not just do that in the first place instead of rush home...
Polette Sorry it took so long .-. I ended up crashing last night XD

Treading slowly and heavily, Anarion wasn't concerned with keeping himself hidden; normally, he tried his best to not sound like some ominous creature, not wanting to frighten any strangers he might come upon. But today, Anarion was just didn't care.
After chasing a flirty mare around the plains like a yearning pup, he soon realized that her affections were hollow. He had been out of his element, and had made the rookie mistake of trusting a complete stranger just because she told him to; she pulled at his more noble side and sucked him in just enough before cutting all ties.
But that was all in the past. Shaking his head, Anarion didn't want to linger on his past, but these long walks really left him with little to distract him; and this was going to be a long walk. After exhausting his patience for the plains, he had decided to head back to his home territory in the mountains. Sure, it was a rough lifestyle at times, but it was his home, and he really needed that sense of comfort again.
He wasn't especially keen on companionship at the moment, but a travelling companion would really be nice right about now, to keep his mind off things. That, and the sound of his armor alone was beginning to wear on his nerves. Taking his eyes off the ground for a moment, he looked ahead, wondering if he'd be alone on this long path the entire way or if he'd eventually come across some other individual who was depressed enough to head towards the mountains.
Though it took him a moment, Anarion's golden eyes eventually settled on the small faraway figure of....well, he wasn't really sure. From this distance, he couldn't quite make out what it was, and it seemed to be moving in a somewhat erratic pattern, which only added to the mystery. Happy at the possibility of a travel companion, Anarion quickened his pace, his armor shifting as his legs stretched out more in his pursuit.

The sound of the armor made her jump. the mare spun around, backing her rump right into a tree. By the sounds of it they were walking. So it might not be a kalona, not unless it had a broken or missing wing, and the armor normally meant hindrance to flying at all. She was scared, her heart fluttered in her chest. She could run, but she did not want to knock herself out running head first into one of the trees lining the path. not to mention, she had no idea where home was any more. She was walking around perfectly blind to the world around her.
She was to afraid at first to call out, but finally her shaken voice broke out from her mouth. "W-who is there?" She questioned, trying to pull herself together. She pulled herself away from the tree, moving out into the clear ground that was the path and off the grass she had backed up into. Her head turned, moving her ears towards the sound before facing it. She likely appeared to either be looking past him, or near him instead of right at him.
Polette It is fine. I don't mind the wait.

Keeping his eyes on the figure, Anarion couldn't quite figure out what was going on with the dark creature. As he neared, he could see the figure somewhat clearer, but he would still need to approach further to clearly discern it. It began to move in an even stranger pattern, and the stallion was worried if he had stumbled upon some injured or deranged creature; the possibility that it was injured fueled his interest even more, as Anarion - however hardened and cold he appeared - had a drive to help those in need.
Within earshot now, Anarion could clearly see the mare's figure; she was dark in body, but her mane seemed to slightly glimmer in the light. His brow furrowed slightly as she moved out, speaking to him now; something didn't seem right. "My name is Anarion." His voice was deep and gruff, sounding like an even older stallion than he was. "On my word, I mean you no harm." He moved slightly to the side, watching her face - her eyes. They didn't seem to be watching him like they should. Or maybe she just didn't want to look right at him. "I saw you from afar moving kind of strangely. It may sound odd, but I wanted to investigate." He looked around for a moment, wondering if there was anyone else or if she really was alone.

Armelle could hear the stallion as he spoke, as he moved, and she tried her best to fallow the sound with her head. those ears started to twitch more, those eyes not quite following, a little slow and hardly ever catching his directly on. Why oh why of all days did her eyes have to go completely blank. An bunch of hazy dark shapes was a lot better than complete darkness.
He did not sound to harmful, but the voice still had her a little on edge. She tried to turn herself only to almost stumble over her own hooves. After the bit of embarrassment had washed away she replied. "I am Armelle. As for my erratic movements, I am just a little off my game today, yes just a little." She said hesitantly at first but sure put her point in by time she finished.
She was a bundle of fear and curiosity at this point. He may say he was not going to harm her, but they all say that. Its what lured young mares into their dooms of becoming a snack.. Armelle swallowed hard before she forced herself to stand tall, trying to mask the lump of beating heart, that was fear, in her throat.

"I see." He eyed her carefully, keeping in one place now. She seemed a bit on edge, which was understandable with a stallion like Anarion. "I guess we all kind of have those days." His eyes dropped for a moment and he let out a small huff of laughter; it had been so long since a smile crossed his face, mostly because there was never anything to amuse him while he was alone.
"Armelle..." He rolled her name around in his mind; it was pleasant, and it flowed so nicely, unlike his clunky name. "I know it's hard to fully trust a stallion like me, but I assure you that you are in no danger with me." As much as he may have wanted to, there was no way for Anarion to soften his appearance or voice; he looked like a soldier, and not entirely a nice one. He had been raised a fighter, but he was trying so hard to fight for something more than just violence.
"May I ask where it is you're headed? I could try to put your mind at ease and ensure that you reach your destination." He knew that she might think him a stalker of sorts, but he just didn't feel right leaving her alone, especially with the way she had been acting.

Armelle found herself starting to relax. If he was going to attack her, he likely would have by now. She finally pulled herself away from the pinning and moved around, looking around as if she was looking for where she was headed. "I am heading around the peek into a valley high in the mountain where the snow still covers the ground." She turned back to where he was standing before, if he had not moved she was once more staring past him. "There is a path the whole way, just not well traveled. My friends human takes it from time to time, but normally we take the other path to the human village."
The mare was still a little lost. She knew as long as she stuck to what little bit of path there was she could find her way, until she hit snow, then the path would be lost. Thankfully maybe with his eyes he could spot the path along the snow. "So, what is your name?" She asked, turning and feeling her way back to the path as her ears twitched heavily upon her head. She was trying to keep a little light conversation, easier to know where he was.

"A human village?" Anarion paused, furrowing his brow for a moment. It had been so long since he had seen any human that he found himself on edge at the mere mention of them. What could this mare want in a human village? Maybe she had been on better terms with them than he had been.
"Anarion." He cleared his throat, returning his gaze to the female. "And, if you would have me, I would be honored to be your guide." Anarion had felt so purposeless since he had left the meadowed valley, maybe this would make him feel useful again; and his more noble side just couldn't let someone in distress continue to wander around aimlessly. "As it happens, I was raised in the mountains, so I should be of some use to you, at least when it comes to the terrain." He smiled faintly, remembering how rough some parts of the mountains could be. Though he didn't know too much about this human village, he could at least make sure she didn't hurt herself on the way there.

The young mare nodded as she seemed a little more at ease, but she still had no idea if she could trust him. She shifted her hooves, clearing the path a little to find the stone below. "I live between two high peeks. It is a small dip. I live with a human that my mother saved a long time ago. She is from the lands of ice, where the snow never melts." She said as she moved her ears. "Umm, if I remember the way through the mountain is against the setting sun." She had no idea where that was, so she only hoped that he could notice and would start before her. She was not quite ready to admit her embarrassing fault.
The path was not so easy to spot, for the light snow was covering, it, but a small dip in the ground did show some lead way as to where the path was and was going. Those eyes closed as she lowered her head, even the smell of the path was gone, meaning nothing had been this way in quite some time, at least not since before the snow. Then again, it did snow here often as they were getting higher into the mountains. Soon, the trees would give way to the bare desert of snow. "So, Anarion huh? Interesting name. It is a pleasure to meet you, and again, thank you for the help."
Polette Sorry it has taken so long, irl has been a pain. I have had little time to be online, let alone to have time or clarity of mind to respond.
