Cami had not left her shared dorm room since the moment she'd woken up. It had been hard enough to hop into the shower thinking that Otto might come home at any minute and she might not be there, waiting, when he arrived. Some part of her railed that this was a little too domesticated while the larger part of her, the part she openly embraced, didn't give a ********. She'd go on a long mission one day and Otto would be waiting for her then. Gender roles were not offended by what she was doing.

The fact that she had a pizza waiting to be put in the oven, a stash of chocolate in a large basket, and the best ice cream she knew of waiting for Otto didn't hurt either. She missed him horribly, terribly. Having Maebe in her bed every night for two weeks had been a dream come true, a wonderful fantasy made reality, but that fantasy had always had Otto right there too.

Perhaps not for all of the fantasy but at the end, when she curled around her blonde beauty to sleep, he'd been there too.

When Otto opened the door and called out she was there, trying to reassure Taym that all was right with the world through her phone. The poor man was quickly discarded as she threw her phone aside, shooting off the couch like a bullet to throw her arms around him. "YOU'RE HOME!!"

Neither of them seemed willing to let go which suited Camille perfectly. She was holding Otto as tightly as she could without hurting him, happy to just have him back and in one piece. There were no real injuries, he wasn't in the infirmary, two weeks gone and back without harm. "I missed you." For a moment her voice was thick with emotion before she pulled back only slightly.

It was enough so that she could look at him fully, taking in the big dopey grin that likely mirrored her own, bright blue eyes, the messy mop of blond hair she already had fingers tangling with the ends of. Her best friend in the whole world was home. Little fizzy bubbles were popping up beneath her heart and she felt her stomach tense as Cami realized what it was she was going to do.

Leaning in she kissed Otto. It wasn't the same sort of light, friendly kiss that they'd shared before. This was a slanted-mouthed, warm-lipped, serious KISS that deserved capital letters. It wasn't so much that absence had made her heart grow fonder. It was simply that absence had forced Cami to confront the feelings that had been bubbling up inside of her for weeks now, if not months. She was as invested in Otto as she was in Maebe.

Now she wanted to show him.

All of this had sprung from a crazy moment when Cami had first started flirting with Otto on Twitter. All in all it hadn't been something particularly strange for her to do except for the fact that she was doing it with Otto. It wasn't the same silky passion, the ability to lose herself in everything, that Maebe was. It wasn't even like the giggly, bubbly fun that Dylon had been. This was warm and comforting, coming home, something that was just right and good.

Eventually her lungs protested that she had to breathe a little more than she was, had to let go, or she was very likely to fall over. Resting her forehead lightly against his Cami couldn't help but giggle just a little bit, euphoric and amused at the turn of events. "I really, really missed you." Because that wasn't clear??

He had been gone two weeks. Two long, agonizing weeks where she'd had to actually keep her own emotions in line regarding Twitter. It wasn't hard though -- she'd had the best distraction on the whole island to keep her from caring too much about stupid people and their stupid, ignorant ideas. Still, her whole rhythm of life had been thrown off and now that Otto was home it could go back to the comfortable rhythm it had always had.

With maybe a few more high notes than usual.

Lips curved in a self-satisfied little smile as Cami swayed with Otto, one arm around his neck and one around his torso. That good? She almost said it aloud before realizing that she didn't much want to talk right now. So she just kissed him again instead, as requested.

Luckily, by some distracting miracle, Otto hadn't heard the shutter or the soft and muffled cuss. He'd all but forgotten his things sitting and waiting to be unpacked and laundered. Forgotten he himself looked like he'd just climbed out of a desert grave. His hair was a mess, his artifact sunglasses tangled within the mop of his hair. His clothes were dirty, his hands were dirty.

But Cami was soft, warm and welcoming.

He finally pulled away after what seemed like ages. His smile was soft, and pleased. "Is Maebe coming?"
She wasn't in bed was she? Not at home? What time was it? Was that food over there? Otto suddenly remembered he was kind of hungry.

Though muffled, Maebe was able to hear the tail end of their conversation, and the moment when Cami decided to bring Otto to the bedroom to check up on her. She squeaked and hurled herself headfirst into the bed, climbing under the covers until she was a big lump of all of their blankets. She straightened herself out, tucked her phone away, and laid still to wait for them to enter.

They were there two seconds after she'd stopped moving, and she peeked her head out lazily when Cami called for her.

"Mmm?" She groaned out, slowly peeling the blankets off of her. "Oh, Otto, come here baby." Still lying on the bed, her arms stretched out in exaggeratingly slow movements, waiting for him to enter them.

For a single moment Cami was utterly distressed, ready to leap between Otto and Maebe so that he didn't track dirt into the bed. She'd washed all of the sheets and blankets on what was decidedly a masterpiece of sleeping comfort so that Otto's first night home could be on clean, crisp sheets. After a shower to get the grime off, clean clothes, good food, and a comfy bed with girl-cuddles? He'd be putty.He deserved it!

Thankfully Otto seemed to realize that she was going to explode if he climbed in bed and pulled Maebe towards him. Her voice came, exasperated and playful. "Lazy slut. I did all the cleaning and you've just been sleeping." Cami's lips curved in a secret smile, thinking to herself, that she had gotten the first kiss. "You're lucky you're so damn pretty."
