So I am thinking maybe we should start looking at fundraising for the 13th annual ball, the earlier the start the better. If anyone has any ideas, post them here.
Some ideas:
-Table Auction (multiple things per table, win a table you win all the services/items on that table)
-art auction
-50/50 raffle
-An idea we were looking as a possibility early last year but it never came to fruition but a casino kind of thing, explanation coming soon.

I'll have you know I'm scared to death...
...that everything that you had said to me was just...
...a lie until you left. A 50/50 raffle is the simplest.

Yeah a 50/50 raffle seems like the simplest idea, although if there's enough people an art auction doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

14Mushrooms What's a 50/50 raffle thing? Well, you sell tickets at a pre-determined price. Then you draw for the winner. The winner and the house split the proceeds 50/50. We do them at all the HS football games here. Sometimes we even discount if you buy them like 10 at a time. I also think an art auction would be good. I had a friend whose auction ended at 40 bil. I almost died...but yeh. They can get really pricey when the art is top notch.

Good luck to you buddy! I really hope we don't need anymore than the 40 trillion we have now, but it never hurts to be ahead of the curve right?

I remember a few balls back we would have both an art auction as well as an art shop, so I propose we do both again this year that way we can have two art threads rolling in gold.

Like I said I think we should prepare for the worst with inflation, it is better to have a strong cushion of gold than not enough.
I think I will go ahead on wednesday and set-up a 50/50 raffle to start.

Art auctions seem to do really well. Or an art shop- Gaians generally love art!. I can help with bumping threads if needed. Alas, I don't have any art skills or I'd offer those services. sweatdrop My squiggles look like lumpy potato people. rofl
