 Carna was back out again, reveling in this war so far. She had done well for her god and wanted to continue doing so, and so she crept into the enemy camp, and the first one she spotted, a bird, she attacked, leaping to tackle it to the ground.

 Shokoti was likewise back out again, having already tasted the blood and sweat of battle and success in keeping a cursed from breaching the camp. She should have known that another would try their luck so soon, but as she felt one grab her and spin her around, she sensed something a bit....off about this one. This might get uglier than the last fight. Frowning at the strange monstrosity clasping on to her, she flapped her wings to try and take off while savagely kicking out at the pockettu with her clawed feet. HP: 19

Carna snarled as she missed her tackle yet she managed to keep hold of the bird; she didn't even seem concerned about the bird starting to fly as she twisted to only catch part of the clawed feet on her leg. She gets a two-handed grip on the bird and tries to bite it in the neck as hard as her snaggle toothed mouth could. HP: 18

Shokoti sure hadn't expected such a savage attack as a bite on the neck, especially being off the ground. She squawked and flapped harder, trying not to jerk her neck away, lest it cause the skin beneath her feathers to rip. In a daring move that she hoped would do more harm to her attacker than her, she whirled a bit and suddenly dove to the ground in a deliberate crash, in the hope of using the other to cushion her fall AND hopefully jar her loose from the painful bite. HP: 16

Carna was latched on with her teeth, but when she realized the bird was diving, she let go of the bird's neck and started to swing herself to the side, keeping herself from being completely on the bottom even as they landed roughly. She growled, trying to roll so she was on top, and would aim a flurry of punches at her foe. HP: 16

The landing worked and it didn't; Shokoti was jarred as she fell, but at least it had caught the other a bit as well, and the pressure on her neck was gone. She scrambled up to avoid being pinned, but did feel a punch or two land on her wing as she escaped. Angrily she dove right back at her attacker, aiming her beak for a sharp peck at the other's face. HP: 15

Carna growled again as she mostly missed, and the bird gained the upperhand; she felt the beak tear into her stitched face but she only grinned as she tried to wrap her arms around her foe and stab her in the back with her pronged tail. HP: 13

Shokoti felt the other's arms try to wrap around her and she struggled hard, her frenzied movements actually causing the tail to merely graze her instead of thunk solidly in. Figuring she might as well use it to her advantage if her foe wished her to be so close, she continued to aim more pecks at the other, aiming randomly for the head in general. HP: 14

Carna felt her prey struggle and grinned. As for the beak, she was watching for it now, and yanked her head back to avoid most of the pecks, getting grazed a little on an ear though. She let go of the hug only to attempt to rain punches at her head and body. HP: 12

Frustrated that her beak was not finding its mark, Shokoti was trying to think of a different approach when the flurry of punches rained down on her, battering and bruising her and causing her to land on the ground a bit stunned. Blinking to clear the fuzz from her mind, Shokoti took to the sky once more, bringing her talons in front of her in a rush, attempting to sink her claws into the cursed one's chest. HP: 11

Carna scowled as her foe took off again to get away from her punches, she was about to leap up to grab her when it looked like she was gonna come back down anyway, so she stood her ground and as the talons came down she pivoted, catching a light scratch, and aimed a kick at the bird's side or back as it went by. HP: 11

Frustrated that her talons also had not reached their target, Shokoti let slip a most unkind word as she felt the kick hit her solidly in the side. "Merde!" She wobbled in mid-flight and landed a bit heavily on the ground, sucking air into her lungs that had fled from the kicking before moving her wings up and down rapidly, not to fly so much as cause gusts of blood-flecked wind and distract while she brought her talons down low, trying to gash the other's legs or at least get a claw through a foot. HP: 9

Carna felt the wind from the wingbeats, not that she minded the blood, but as she tried to move in anyway, the talons did catch her legs, cutting deeply and causing her to stumble, she once more tries to use her pronged tail to stab into her foe, wherever it could reach. HP: 8

This time the tail came in solid and caught her hard in the side, no making both sides injured. Shokoti's entire body was turning into one throbbing mass of pain, but she gritted her beak and continued to battle, bringing her legs back and kicking out as hard as she could, trying to stab and kick higher than where she was previously aiming. HP: 6
