Adam Klimek was a stout goblin full of nervous anticipation. He was waiting as patiently as he could, fingers fidgeting with the small glass of alcohol he had ordered. Something to hopefully calm the nerves but every time he took a sip he risked getting his drink all over his suit.
The goblin wasn't much to look at. Slick hair, large spectacles, and jagged teeth. He probably stood no more than average height but a good thirty pounds over weight for his size. His suit, clearly outdated, was rumpled giving the impression he had been wearing it for a while though it still appeared to be clean.
He rose his shaky hand with the glass in it and took another hurried sip like it might be his last. The sting of alcohol had done little to ease his mind. He had embezzled a large sum of money for a company of sorts. They didn't deal with the normal everyday business like normal people did but then again neither did Adam. He had promised to invest their money for a large turn over. Had actually gotten the paperwork all in order but through the deal had lost a large sum of said money on top of a particularly pricey heirloom. Now the 'company' in question wanted him to pay and it wasn't in seeds. He knew he couldn't run all his life but this was a temporary matter until he could relocate, change his identity, and basically disappear.
That's why he was here, sitting in this dim lit room in the back of a...was it a restaurant? Or maybe a nightclub? He didn't know with the combination of food and dance floor and it probably didn't matter. The place was only a front after all wasn't it? It was actually supposed to be a meeting place. In order to preserve his life and the assets he had he was willing to pay big bucks for protection and the name Kuroda had come up. Just where the hell was his bodyguard?

Letting out a breath, Shun stepped into the back room of the Crazy 88, after having received some instruction. The Family had been contacted for a bit of personal muscle. A bodyguard. And such, he was the one being assigned to handle the task. The reaper hadn't received a lot of details for what he was supposed to be protecting the client from, but he supposed it didn't matter that much.
A goblin awaited him.
"Oi. You Adam Klimek?" he asked. The stout one fit the description he had been given, but it wouldn't hurt to double check.

The goblin jumped, alcohol sloshing out of his glass and over his hand. "Ah!" When the initial threat was over and Adam realized his life wasn't about to be claimed he looked at spilled alcohol on his hand. "Such a waste such a waste." He groaned a bit using the small napkin given to place the glass on to dab at the mess. "Yes, I'm Adam." His words had an odd accent to them, though he spoke pretty clearly.
After cleaning up a little and checking over his suit the goblin looked up at the boil standing at the door. "Who are you?"

"Shun Kuroda," he stated plainly, giving his name in turn. Shun let out a breath and sat himself across from the goblin, "From what I've been told, you're looking for some protection. I'm here to provide that."
Shun's gaze flicked to the doorway for the moment, then turned back towards Adam.
"Exactly what are you afraid of? Just so I have a better idea of what I need to look out for."

Kuroda? He was a Kuroda? Adam knew the Kuroda were a tough lot but this...boil was so young. Surely this wasn't right. Though his gaze traveled over the eye patch and the goblin had to wonder how that had happened.
"I can't be too specific." Because Jack the goblin didn't want this family to know they could squeeze more money out of him. If they knew specific names it might not be hard to piece together how much money he had. "But there is a company after my life. I just need a couple of days to get my affairs in order and disappear which is why I need your help." There was a fine bead of sweat by his brow and he dabbed at it with the alcohol soaked napkin.
"I had hoped I would have more time but I heard the wolves were on the hunt. Literal wolves. Bounty hunters!" His voice had started to crack from stress as he looked between Shun and the door. He couldn't lie his confidence was waning. "I have to ask. Have you ever dealt with something like this before? You seem awfully...young."

The company bit itself was of no use, but the goblin soon said something about wolves being on the hunt. Literal ones. This could mean a werewolf or some wolf demon or something along those lines. Either way, he had a better idea of who to look out for. Some sort of canine. It... still wasn't that much to go off on. There were a lot of canines in Halloween. But it was a start.
"That's irrelevant," he said flatly. Okay, he hadn't been set up as a body guard thus far, but Kaitou didn't really feel like putting one of his more experienced men on the job. Perhaps the goblin annoyed him or something along those lines. It was hard to tell what went through that man's mind sometimes.
"Let's be clear, though. If you don't want to end up getting caught or dissipated in some horrific fashion, you ought to listen to me if things get rough out there. Understood?"

"Right, right." The goblin seemed to mutter nervously to himself. Of course it was irrelevant. He probably could have placed the amount of confidence he had at the moment in one of those small bowl they put soy sauce in.
Despite his nerves and plummeting survival rate the goblin focused on Shun as he spoke and nodded. "U-understood, Mr. Kuroda."
Now it was just a matter of getting through the next few days. "First I need to swing by my place to pick up a few things. I haven't been there for a few days so I have no idea if anyone will be waiting. I also need to stop at my office for some paperwork I will need."

"Very well. Let's get going, then. Each day, you'll be staying at a different hotel. Don't pack too many of your things."
With a nod, Shun let out a slow breath, then stepped on out of the backroom. If this goes well, he'll have earned a bit of favor. He wasn't planning on screwing this up either way. Once in the main area of the restaurant, he gave a quick glance around. Further off, he could see Akane chatting with a few folks at one of the tables.

"R-right." The goblin reached under the table and grabbed a brief case he had stored there. With it in tow he stood and followed the reaper out of the back room. He wasn't sure how well this would go but if he acted smart and worked quickly maybe the danger would be low.
"Here are the addresses. We'll need a taxi since I ditched my car." It was one of the few things the goblin knew to do to keep from being tailed. Obviously driving his own vehicle around that was registered in his name would be like a blaring red target.

Shun took the paper with a low grunt. In the very least, the taxi could read the slip just fine. He continued on out towards the street, keeping a cautious eye out for any potential trouble. Once he had reached the curb, he went ahead and hailed a taxi on over. Just a few days of this he'd need to do.
Once the taxi arrived, he pointed out the first address listed on the slip, then ushered the goblin to get into the back seat.

The goblin had no idea the boil had a problem with reading and with Shun's reaction he still didn't have a clue. His mind was focused too much on all the ways he could potentially be tortured or taken out into the middle of no where with no pumpkin patch and dispatched with no hope of reviving anywhere.
Nervous as ever the goblin followed Shun out of Crazy 88, his eyes never in one spot as his gaze drifted about for trouble. He was almost too apprehensive to get into the cab but finally climbed in and waited for their arrival. While they were moving he relaxed a little but the tension grew when they finally pulled up to his home.
It was a rather nice looking place. Fairly big for a single individual with a well manicured lawn. It was safe to say the goblin had money.
Climbing out of the taxi the goblin looked at Shun and then around the neighboring houses. There were a few cars parked but nothing looked out of the ordinary. At least not yet.
"T-this way." Adam made his way to the front door, drawing a key from his pocket and desperately trying to get it in the lock. After a few failed attempts he finally managed and unlocked the door and waited.

"Relax. Act like you're ******** afraid of everything and you'll stand out even more," Shun grunted as he followed the goblin to his house. He just let out a sigh, then stepped on in. He made a quick sweep around, to see if, by some chance, someone was already in there.

"If I could explain a little more I think you would understand. They don't just want to kill me. That would be to simple." The goblin waited trying to calm himself while Shun peeked in to see if someone was inside.
At the moment the house the quiet but there was an air of something being off. Nothing looked touched though, no looting or over turned furniture. Everything seemed normal at first glance but there was just something weird about it.

Not responding, Shun focused on the interior of the house. He held a hand up as a gesture for Adam to hold his position. From there, he moved further in. Something wasn't quite right here, though he couldn't be certain what it was exactly. With a narrowed gaze, he began to look around.

"What is it?" Adam whispered quietly from the door when Shun held up his hand. Had he heard something? Sensed something? Was it a trap? Was there a trap? So many questions floated through his mind.
Shun would find that there was indeed someone else in the house. As the reaper got closer to one of the rooms a large hand shot out of the darkness reaching for the reaper's shirt to haul him off his feet. When Shun had the time to take everything in he could soon follow the hand up a rather muscular arm, covered in a tightly fit black material. Further up and he would find the face of an impressively tall man. He stood around 6'2" and was older though it was only truly evident by the lines around the eyes. For the most part the man was extremely fit with short cut black hair with bits of gray around the temples and a shortly cut black beard to match. His face held a number of scars, one across his nose, lip and jaw. There was even one that ran along his cheek all the way back to his slightly pointed ear which was missing a small piece along the rim.
Cold steel eyes stared down at the reaper but a vicious grin pulled at the corner of his mouth. "Well, who do we have here?"
