Roman Foi Cato nudged the side of Bernadette gently, feeling the creeping dawn light start to lighten the vines that hid their cave from the world. It was starting to be a little chillier each morning. Nothing absurd, or extreme, but enough to worry Cato a little to the weather they will face in the coming months. He'd never seen this territory in the winter, and had thought it close enough to the desert to not face too harsh a time. He sat his worries for that aside, and nudged his mate again, his small smile still in place. "Bernadeeeette... oh, the light of my liiiiiife..." he whispered as to not wake Arella, who he watched out of the corner of his eye. Vollyballrocks91 Bernadette grunted at his nosing, and fluttered a wing to try and shoo him off, but since she was still mostly asleep the wing just rose and fell a little without really doing anything. He was always up early, but he usually left her alone besides saying goodbye before he left. She also knew it was nothing urgent because he was being nice and calm about disturbing her slumber. Maybe if she ignored him he'd go away. Roman Foi Cato rolled his eyes at her very non-lady-life grunting and nudged her a wee bit harder. He chuckled under his breath at her feeble attempts to shoo him, and was torn between tickling, or gentle hair tugging. Grinning wide, he instead whispered, "Bernadette, you're snoooring." He thought this would provoke her into consciousness a little faster, considering snoring was very, very unladylike. Vollyballrocks91 "I do not.. snore," she shot one of her legs out, hoping to at least kick him in the shin. "Don't you have someone else to wake up in the morning? I'm sure Thane would love to see you." Roman Foi Cato bit back a curse word when he felt her hoof connect, and decided a rough nudge to her ribs (of course not with his horns) would do the trick. "Woman, get. up." He glared in the dim light that continued to lighten with ever moment breath they took. "Don't make resort to kidnapping. That would not set a good example for our daughter." Vollyballrocks91 She grunted again and squinted her eyes open to glare at him. "Someone better be dying, Cato. What do you want? It's too early." Roman Foi "Yup. Someones dying, right outside. Up, up, up." He whispered in a rush, going around her other side and nudging her with his hoof in order for her to get up. Thinking he heard Arella wake, he paused to check. When she did not rise, her returned to nudging Bernadette. "Move it or lose it." Vollyballrocks91 "Yeah right. If someone actually was dying you would be freaking out." Now she did swat at him with her wings. "Stop it, you gigantic brute." She nipped at his face, and honestly finally got up just to get away from him. "That's it, I'm flying away and finding some other devilishly handsome stallion to move in with. Someone who lets me sleep." Roman Foi Cato merely grunted in response and led the way from the cave, brushing the vines aside with his wing. He waited for her just outside the cave, stretching his wings, and admiring the sunrise that was steadily increasing over the mountain side.
Vollyballrocks91 Bernadette stuck her head out of the vines and squinted in the early morning light. "Oh look, no one is dead. Too bad, guess I'll be going back to sleep." She quickly retracted her head back into the cave. Roman Foi Cato turned quickly, "Oh no you don't!" he reached past the vines and got a mouthful of her tail, tugging back. "Come. On. Bern-dette," he spoke around her hair, bracing her to hit him in someway, he knew it. Vollyballrocks91 She let out a small eek at her tail being grabbed and she swung her head around so fast she probably could have given herself whip lash. "Cato," she said with a deadly quiet voice. "Drop the tail, or you're going to be missing some teeth bucko."
