Since Jenn is at school and maybe has auditions tonight, I'll attempt to field this question on her behalf. smile

I wasn't at the Opening Ceremony either. At this time, the best place to find out what happened is here. However, it's not updated as of yet, so I'll be working on that and/or talking to Jenn about it later. smile

As far as I'm aware, Naomi Pritchett from Ekaterina and my character, Aerykah Sampson from Tomas were elected as House Representatives. You and the other character from Lucian need to select a professor to represent your house, since nobody has created a third year + character as of yet.

Out of curiosity alone, what time zone are you in?

And as for time tables, I'm not exactly sure what the system is as of yet. I would want to assume that classes would happen during the evenings EST, or on weekends. When we've RP'd similar school-type RPs, classes typically happened on the weekends. I'll get back to you on that one!

For now, I wouldn't sweat it, and just immerse yourself into the RP itself, I'm pretty sure we'll both be able to figure out exactly what we missed.

First off, apologies. u.u It's really hard to set up RP events for different timezones. I typically work out times with the Australians in mind, since there's four of them in the guild. I'll do my best from now on to set up events with UK time in mind as well, but work with me. It's difficult to set up a time that works with one timezone while screwing another over.

Second: Classes do not take place in Towns. That was the biggest gimmick of the last magic school RP guild I was in and I hated it. It was boring, professors didn't show up half the time, and overall was not my idea of fun. (Except for Bri's class. <3) Not only that, but the timing of classes made it difficult for other timezones to show up. Classes will be kept to the forums, just a paragraph or two every week for the lesson, maybe some homework that provokes RP. I may write up professor classrooms for RP areas as well, but that's up to demand at this point. If the people want it, I can do it.

TL;DR there won't really be much in-class RPing. I'd rather have you guys focus on the environment and the plot than schoolwork.

Third: Classes will be set up at different times. The most important one, Charms, has its syllabus up, and I or Caedah's controller will be making a post for her within the week. Charms is most important because the syllabus tells you which spells your character does and does not know. The rest of the syllabuses (syllabi?) will be up ASAP. I think I posted the rest of the core class ones earlier today.

The reason that they'll be going up at different times is simply that I don't have a crew yet. There was one user that planned to control three or four teachers, but I haven't heard from her in a couple months. Once there are more people running the guild than just me, I'm sure things will go much smoother. uvu

Bottom line: Will you be learning s**t? Yes. Do you have to show up at certain times to learn said s**t? No. Will you be tested? 90% chance of no.

Yup, that's what the Towns RP Archive is for! uvu It was a bit of a problem in another guild so I came up with that as a solution to fix it.

And I'm gonna audition for my school's play. o: I think it's called Wiley and the Hairy Man or something.

If you guys want that, then yeah, I can definitely make classrooms in the forums. o: I'd just need some time to set them up, and probably I'd need to know the classrooms that are most requested. My big guess would be Charms.
