There was a song coming from above him, across the rooftops. It lilted down gently, betraying the gloomy atmosphere around them. A jingle here, a crystalline tinkling there and from over the edge appeared a General draped in all the finest the Negaverse could give her. She paid no attention to the young man below her as she rocketed across the roof from her original position to one atop one of the few remaining lightposts that still worked. Down below her lay a mother and two sons. They couldn't be older than seven or eight and they cowered at Sutai's sudden appearance.

She began interrogating them. "So! What brings you out here at this time of day? Don't you know there's a curfew? You're not shuttling little chibi brats, are you!?" barked the General, summoning her weapon - a rapier with an elaborate sextant handle. "Because if you are--"

In an instant she was before them, the woman's shriek cut short by a blade to her throat. "You know we don't take kindly to liar and thieves and human trafficking."

Sutai felt him before she saw him and dropped the sobbing woman like a sack of potatoes before turning quickly on her heel to face Erebus. Her stance was annoyed, cocky and unimpressed.

"There once was a time, but that time has come and gone, Paddles." the General spat, twirling her blade expertly with one wrist before raising it against him. "So what's it matter? The Negaverse is making things work a lot better than the senshi and you knights ever did. All you did was run around and proclaim you were so good and so righteous. So is that what you're doing? Pretending to be good and righteous? You're in the middle of enemy territory. Do you really think it's so smart to power up and face me?"

The woman shrieked and clawed at the ground, reaching for her children. She grabbed them by the jackets and ran into the corner of a business entrance and huddled with them there. She certainly didn't want to get between a Negaverse agent and anything they wanted to accomplish. One uncle was already dead and gone for defiance alone. Sutai smirked and shifted her weight. "So what will it be, Paddles?"

"Absolutely." came Sutai's resolute answer. "We've all but ended hunger and poverty. We've put more order in here than Order ever did. I swear, whoever named us got it all backwards. Your Order people are the most disorganized bunch I've ever seen, and you intend to do what?" The General scoffed, brandishing her rapier towards Erebus. "If you overthrew the Negaverse, what would you do, hmm? How would you make the people trust you when you're just a bunch of off-world aliens?"

Her patience at its limit, Sutai dropped to a charge, intending to skewer the mouthy knight on the end of her rapier. If he survived, she told herself, she'd corrupt him on the spot and happily lead him into the darkness of the Negaverse. There, everything made sense. There were orders, ranks, hierarchy. Not this anarchy the people of the White Moon seemed to love and thrive upon.
