Megrez was not singing and dancing across the rooftops tonight.

A first-level Negaverse aura was prickling at the edge of her senses. While she did have thoughts of someday moving up to picking on captains, a lieutenant would be fine as well. Taking out a lieutenant now meant the prevention of a possible general later on.

However, this aura did not feel like that of a lieutenant. It felt closer to a senshi's aura, if anything... ah, that was right. She had felt an aura like this, once, during that fateful night in the warehouse. This must be a corrupt senshi, she concluded. That would certainly make things interesting; aside from the one she had thrown a plate at and missed, she had never faced off against a corrupt senshi before.

She peered over the edge of the rooftop she was on, waiting for her target's approach.

"Gotcha," Megrez murmured under her breath. She summoned up a basic egg and dropped it from above, hoping to land it splat in that flowing pink hair. There was no need to whip out the new eggs just yet; that would come later. A teaser would do for now. She watched the egg fall from her perch, and waited for impact.

Megrez's "Yesssss!" at having landed a direct hit might have been a bit too loud. When her target spoke, she frowned. Oh, so he was one of those types. Very polite, somewhat nonconfrontational. If she hadn't seen him about to drain someone right there, she might have almost felt bad about egging him. Even now, a "sorry" lingered on the tip of her tongue. Old habits died hard.

She peered a little further over the edge. If Haumea could make out her face, he'd be able to see her devilish grin. "Don't talk to me about Halloween when you're wearing that, you silly!" Now it was time to up the ante for kicks. She summoned up her new weapon: a nice, big ostrich egg. "Catch!" She called out over the edge, and heaved the big honking egg over. This could really hurt if it hit dead on.

As much fun as she tended to have when egging the Negaverse, she swore up and down that she wasn't a sadist. Turning it into a game and egging them on (literally and figuratively) just made it easier to handle.

Oh, the big eggs made such a wonderful splat when they hit the ground! Megrez could get used to this. It seemed that she had definitely drawn his aggro this time, however, and she backed away so that he could land on the roof. She called up another egg (this one normal-sized) and tossed it at his position to see if she could make him hit it on the way up. "Finally got your attention, huh?"

A bunch of angry quips sizzled at the tip of Megrez's tongue, including Adam Sandler is NOT retarded! and do I look like a Chibi Senshi to you? but instead, she settled for a simple, "What do you think my problem is, corrupt senshi?" (Of course, those quips would only have reinforced Haumea's perception of Megrez's immaturity That should hopefully have been biting enough to rile him up while communicating the issue. To make sure, she threw in a "Don't think I didn't see you try to drain that guy. I can't let you do that."

"What was that?" Megrez had not caught the muttering, but she assumed that it couldn't be anything good. "And don't play dumb! As an Order senshi, I can't just stand by and let you drain energy like it's nothing! That's what business it is of mine!" She summoned up her last normal egg and pitched it at Haumea. After this, she only had the big ones, and she was going to have to play for keeps.
