 Diesel was back out on the field again after his recent loss, looking for another opponent. The cursed had pushed the shadow followers back and he was hoping to keep that tide going. .....and WIN this fight, since he really didn't wanna see that creepy healer that had attended to him again. >.>; He was in the air, his usual spot to survey, and spotted what appeared to be one of Lukarius' Jackals and perked up. He must be near a camp.... This could be interesting...he hadn't fought another scythe wielder before, and he was sure if anyone could wield one well, it would be one of them. He gripped his weapon tightly and swooped down, trying to barrel right into the jackal. HP: 20

 Matataki had been patrolling along the edges of one of the camps, blue eyes scanning the ground around her for signs of Cursed. Not having the gift of flight, she never thought to keep an eye on the skies for an attack, so was not expecting such a thing to happen. When Diesel crashed into her, she was sent flying quite some distance. She was stunned for a second in confusion, having no idea what just happened. Feeling that Cursed aura, however, soon snaps her out of her daze and she narrows ice blue eyes at Diesel, then, with a low hiss, she launches herself at the Cursed, swinging her scythe at him. HP: 16

Diesel was getting good at recovering from the swoop he always started his battles with, he went with the momentum from the impact and righted himself to land on the ground on his feet, in time to easily avoid his opponent's scythe, getting a tear in his clothes as he turned, using his movement to power his own scythe's swing, aiming at Mata's side or back.

He was good. She had to admit that as she watched his smooth recovery and his counter-attack. She tries to block as much of the blow as she can with her own scythe, but ends up with a gash on her side. She bares her teeth in a silent snarl, then lunges at him again, attempting to ram her head into his face, hoping she could knock him silly. HP: 13

Diesel scored a hit, but then took the masked face to his noggin even as he was trying to keep moving. His momentum with his heavy scythe was halted and he lashed out a foot for Mata's stomach as he recovered.

Matataki felt the air whoosh out of her as his foot connected with her stomach. Gasping for air for a moment, she grips her scythe tightly, then, once she's recovered, she swings the scythe at him, attempting to land a cut on him somewhere. HP: 10

Diesel moves in and takes a deep slash across his stomach in the process. But he didn't mind sacrificing his body in his attempt at getting closer, wincing as he starts his next swing, an upward arc, at his foe.

Matataki's eyes widen just slightly as her opponent steps closer, then narrows them as she sees him swinging his scythe again. She swings her own scythe again, trying to block the blow, but fails, earning yet another slash. She brings her own scythe up again and swings once more, getting desperate to end this fight as she felt her strength starting to fade. HP: 7

As his weapon slices his foe and reaches the peak of its arc, he pivots while keeping it in the air, taking a minor cut from the jackal before he tries to bring the butt-end of his weapon directly down upon the enemy's noggin.

Matataki growls to herself as her attack does little damage to the Cursed. Seeing him swinging the butt end of his scythe at her head, she leans back, again attempting to block with her scythe, earning a small rap on the head that tilted her mask a bit. Fixing it, she swings once more with the scythe, aiming for Diesel's face. HP: 5

Diesel only caught a partial blow with his attack, and while she was fixing her mask he was already moving again, not wasting a moment; it was a good thing, as the jackal's scythe would have cleaved his face, likely, instead he feels it cut his cheek, and a bit of his ponytail gets sliced off as he switches his grip to swing his weapon down, trying to hamstring the jackal.

Matataki was moving as well, deciding she would lunge forward yet again. She attempts to smash her masked face into Diesel's own face, hoping to disorient him. HP: 4

Diesel missed his hamstring attempt but didn't let it phase him. He let his scythe keep arcing up even after the miss, and pivoted to only catch part of that mask -- getting a stinger on his ear -- before once more trying to bring the butt-end of his weapon down upon the Jackal's skull, hoping to finish it off.

With the last ounce of her quickly fading strength, Matataki makes one last attempt to swing her scythe at the Cursed, aiming to try to damage one of his arms. She lost, she knew that, but she was hoping to make sure it would be harder for him to swing that damn thing at anyone else for awhile. HP: 1
