Cranking up the volume on his stereo, Kekipi settled down comfortably into the beanbag chair under the window facing his backyard. Warm, bright sunlight kissed his hair and shoulders, not to mention the fabulous light to sketch by. Sketchbook and printed out photos on himself in one hand, mango margarita in the other, he thought that this was perhaps the best way to spend a day off. Designing a new tattoo for himself and deciding on some new piercings.

Perfection.

For a bare second, guilt gnawed at him. He should technically power up and collect energy for the Dark Kingdom. But no. Today he was taking time for himself. He would go out and collect extra tomorrow. And if they didn’t like it, well… he was sure they wouldn’t damage him too badly. Probably.

Hopefully.

Clearing his throat and shaking his be-dreadlocked head, Kekipi took a sip from his margarita and settled further into the oversized beanbag. Eyeballing the full body photo, he did a quick sketch of himself and his current tattoo. Anything else he had done simply had to harmonize with what was already there. Something that marked his rebirth from the evils of fighting for the White Moon to becoming a soldier for the Dark Kingdom. As he sketched and pondered, he was certain of only one thing. No more fish.

Perhaps some vines? As he doodled some vines down one arm of the sketch, he decided he liked the effect. Just for kicks he added a few flowers to the vines and decided he liked it, but not that much. But when he added little bits of his heritage to the vines… Oh yes, he liked that. Keeping the vines to the one arm, he sketched in various tribal designs in the spaces left between. Tribal stars and simple animals. Just for funsies he snuck a tiny turtle and shark into the design and grinned. Okay, maybe a flower or two.

And before he knew it, he found himself staring down at the design for a sleeve tattoo. But he liked what he had, so he wasn’t inclined to change anything. So that settled the tattoo. While he was busy remodeling himself did he want to add any piercings or mods? Tapping the pencil against his knee, he considered. He’d always kind of enjoyed bridge piercings, so why not? As for mods. Maybe a couple of spikes on each shoulder? No, that could be… bad if he was fighting and anyone went at his shoulders. No, something simple that didn’t interfere. Sterum dermal? He could do that and just use jewelry that had a bit of color to it. Yes… that would work nicely. That would work nicely indeed.
