She was techncially out trying to catch up with Columba, or maybe that senshi who looked like red-headed Xena... but apparently it was much harder to find particular powered people in this city than you would think... so instead Syrma had narrowed in on an quaint little area that had started to run a little wild. The sort of place her mother disproved of on principle, but which was rampant with interesting things to explore, and had a fascinating mixture of wild things growing up in what used to be smooth flat blacktop once. There was even an small tree growing up through a flat tire, which she thought would probably look awesome.... but then again... Then again tires were better for swings than tree decorations, and she dropped down into the fenced off area to remove the tire, perking up as she felt another aura. It was still novel, still really cool to know she could feel them. It was like having intensely cool Jedi powers, and Jedi were awesome. Not adorable. "Hey! In here!" She called. It was an order signature, she was pretty sure, so that meant they were friendly... and she hadn't yet had a serious hassle from an older senshi. Just from the cat... 'adorable' ugh. She was thirteen blast it. Not... not ew... five.

Cruithne had been wandering aimlessly, simply going whereever her feet led her that wasn't crowded with people. She didn't want people tonight, she wanted silence and wild things.
And judging by the voice that had just hailed her, she wasn't going to be getting the silence part.
Trying to not yelp or shrink back, she grimaced a little and took a step forward. It was an Order aura. Whoever it was wouldn't hurt her, right?
"H-hello?" she called back in a soft voice.

"Hey!" Syrma called, encouraged by the tentive reply. "Come look at what I found! I think I could use an hand with this... oof!... tire." As it turned out, it was a bit awkward to pick up alone, just for scale, even with senshi abilities. "There's this... little tree and it's just all "To fribbity with your pavement I'm growing right here. It's super awesome. I'm Syrma by the way." She added this last bit almost distractedly as she tried again to get a handle on the tire and lift it over the sapling without jostling or breaking the young tree. "I'm the Senshi of wolves."

Judging by the voice, it was someone Cruithne's age or close to it. And if another kid needed help, she should go over and provide it. Coming over, she glanced shyly at the oddly dressed kid and saw what she meant about the tire. Besides, it would ultimately help a tree.
"Of c-course," she replied and hurried to help move the tire. "F-fribbity?"
She couldn't help it, she had to smile a little at that. It was such an odd word, but kind of fun to say. Shaking her head, she gripped the edges of the tire and helped lift.
"I-i'm Cruithne, s-senshi of l-lavender."

"Fribbity!" Syrma repeated, cheerfully. "...My mom would freak out if I swore so I make stuff up.Also it's fun and it confuses people, especially the ones who kind of want to yell at you for using 'language' but then they really can't." She beamed enthusiastically at this notion of thwarting the system as they lifted together. "And one, two... theeeere we go." Once the tire was steered clear, she wasn't so worried about doing damage, and was willing to take it off the new arrivals hand and put it off to the side. "Lavender?" That was sort of an odd sphere, "...Like the bush and those weird little packets people hang in their closet?" She asked, and then immediately regretted opening her mouth, clapping a hand over it and looking kind of embarrassed. "I'msureitscoolerthanthat." She added hastily.

Ah! Well, that made sense then. As a lifelong member of the good manners and decorum club, Cruithne approved of made up swears. Though clearly not for the same reasons Syrma did. Still. Filing fribbity away for possible future use, she concentrated on doing her share of lifting.
Smiling shyly, she let Syrma take the tire from her and moved instead to kneel by the baby tree and inspect it carefully. No damage done either from the tire or the moving of it. Giving the tiny sapling an affectionate caress, she felt her mouth stretching into a grin as the other girl's reaction to her sphere. Syrma was entirely too friendly and cheerful to remain afraid of.
"I-it's not the m-most amazing is i-it," she said softly. "B-but my magic l-lets me heal p-people a little and help them r-relax. I like that better t-than fighting. I don't w-want to hurt people."
Even the idea of causing slight harm made her stomach roil unpleasantly.

"Nah dude it's cool, I didn't know lavender could be healing and stuff. Is it really?" You heard about herbal healing stuff all the time these days, but to be totally honest, Syrma didn't know jack about it. The rows of herbal supplements you saw in certain store aisles might as well have been labeled in an alien language for all she understood of what they did. "Wolves isn't as crazy battlebot as you'd think either. It doesn't seem to actually hurt things... I used it on a youma once and it just kind of banged into stuff and acted like it couldn't see. It's called Moon Eater."

Nodding, Cruithne offered up another shy smile, clearly eager to expand on what she knew.
"It's very g-good for helping people r-relax. And a l-lot of people use it when they g-go to sleep to keep n-nightmares away."
She listened as Syrma described her own attack and tried to imagine something that just banged into stuff. Shaking her head slightly, she dismissed the mental images.
"Is i-it an actual w-wolf?" she finally asked. She liked wolves in the abstract. They seemed like interesting and intelligent animals. But she wasn't entirely sure about the whole actually not man-eaters part.

"Nnno I don't think so. It's like... the youma acted like it couldn't see, but I couldn't see any wolves, magical or otherwise. I don't get it. And Ballard... that's this stupid freaky cat who decided to move in with me.... he's a Sphinx. He puts hot sauce on any unattended food and I am going to turn him into bed slippers..." She grumbled. "He's not really too clear on that either. And I really don't want to try and cast it on myself to find out... I don't even know if I can." She rambled, brushing at the short curls of hair on her forehead. "It made it a lot easier to dust the goofy thing, but I don't know that it would help if it had a good sense of smell or hearing or something."

"I s-see," Cruithne murmured, not at all sure that she did see. All the different ways that senshi magic manifested itself only served to confuse her if she thought about it for too long. Instead, she focused on Syrma's mention of the Cat she had talked to.
Cruithne badly wanted to corner a cat and try to get some answers to all the questions she had circling her brain. This Ballard might be a good source. Or perhaps not, if he went around dumping hot sauce into food and being cagey. Still.
"D-does he ever t-talk to you about s-space?" she asked in a small anxious voice. Space was something she very much wanted to know more about. Almost as much as she wanted to know why the cats were going around and turning kids like she and Syrma into tiny terrorists.
"Was B-ballard the one w-who woke you up?"

"He... hasn't really talked to me about it much. But I met this cat called Ash who was talking about us being reborn and stuff and I thought she was talking some kind of creepy culty stuff but then Columba says no she's right, and there's even MORE cats because it wasn't Ash OR Ballard and stuff... and yeah. I dunno. I haven't been but I guess space is a thing alright." She was not an expert at all.

Ash? Columba? Oh dear... Cruithne was already beginning to feel a little dizzy with each new name being tossed out. This revelation about being reborn was honestly the least strange thing about their conversation.
"R-reincarnation, huh?" she asked quietly. "I-it's a real thing, but k-kind of n-new agey."
Or at least the books she'd found had been new agey. BUt it was still something interesting to take into consideration. The lack of information about space itself was a little disappointing though.
"It w-would be nice," she muttered, "i-if these d-darn cats would j-just tell us stuff!"

"Ballard sort of implied that he doesn't know as much as he'd like to, but you kinda have to catch it between misdirection about how gorgeous he thinks he is. Which is pretty ridiculous sounding from a pink raisin with huge ears." Syrma put her hands to the side of her head to represent Ballards over sized ears and swiveled them in mimicry of a cats ears. "I dunno if I am or not... that seems like a lot to deal with, you know?" She had a lot on her plate as it was. Just being her age was difficult, going to school, having homework... then add on 'being a magical warrior'... Yeah. The schedule was booked without wondering if she used to be Space Cleopatra.

A tiny squeak of a giggle escaped Cruithne at this impromptu impersonation of Ballard combined with the mental image of Guardian Cat as Pink Raisin.
Though she quickly nodded agreement with Syrma's assessment of things. It was a lot to deal with.
"I a-agree completely," she replied. All she's ever wanted to be was just a normal kid. Being as shy as she was had already kind of ruined that one forever. Add Magical Terrorist By Night to the mix and life was entirely too complicated.

She refused to use the term "chibi". Chibi was a term for excessively cute deformed anime characters with huge heads. She was not a 'chibi'. She was almost fourteen. She didn't like the diminutive implications, especially when a fourteen year old could be a 'true' senshi, and not even be legally adult. It was like the universe had thrown a dart at the wall and said 'you're marginally closer to having a fully developed brain, let's make the cut off for fighting horror monsters at full power.... eh. There's good enough.'. Ugh she couldn't imagine someone like Istas trying to do this. She'd probably last two minutes and be eaten offering a monster a coloring book. Seriously. She honestly did not understand Istas with one fiber of her being. Cru was kinda dainty and cute but in a different way. She was cute in a way that didn't make you think she was living some kind of... Lolita Pan Fantasy World where girly folk were twee and lacy and "pure" forever. "Do you know anyone else? I've only met a couple. But I could totally introduce you to Ballard." Twilight Jaws Ah Syrma you live in blissful ignorance of the senshi count in your school.
