Kyuseisha no Hikari Delicious delicious baked goodies. Damn parents. Damned Negaverse. Damned economy! Damned people telling him to get a job and stop being lazy and to go on and be productive with his life! What was wrong with being lazy and 'following the rules'? He gave energy and went to school and got decent grades. MAYBE his family suspected him of being a delinquent but hey all the kids were. At least the job he wanted was supposedly open. Bread was amazing. Bread was life. Bread had hardly changed in the past five years and he loved it because of that. Bread was something that had lasted for as long as man could bake and long after world ended and the last remains of people who flew off into space like some of the weird White Moon worshipers thought, bread would STILL be baked. The bakery he wanted to go to wasn't too far from his home either which would win the approval of his parents since the world was too frightening right now for him to wander any sort of way far from home. As much as he wanted to fight the man, he still lived under their roof (for now) so he might as well listen to their requests. Stepping into the bakery provided Wies with a flood of warm memories and the urge to stuff the closest baked good into his face. What an impression that would have earned him. Instead he made his way to the counter, looking to see if the owner was anyway in sight. He had never had a job before and had no idea how to go about this. Demanding a job out right would come off rude wouldn't it? "Excuse me, I'm here seeking a job if there are any positions available." He spoke loudly for he was uncertain if any could hear him. The place seemed empty right now and Wies was almost grateful for it. No one could see his rejection then.

The bakery was silent for only a second before a voice rang out from the kitchen. "I'm here," it called, as if to reassure that the place wasn't empty.
Arias was both relieved and nervous at the prospect of hiring someone new, but he needed the help. With one girl out sick and the other missing for several days now, he expected the worst. The 'Now Hiring' sign in the window just made him sad, and with as busy as things could get, he needed the help—fast.
He hastily readjusted his prosthetic arm back on—as, he never liked to wear it in the kitchen—and then emerged to stand at the counter. He flashed a quick smile and offered his good hand for a shake. "Hi, Arias," he introduced. "I'm the owner. It's nice to meet you. Sorry about that," he said, nodding to the door he had come from. "I stay pretty busy when it's just me. It's lucky this is a slow hour, it was hectic this morning. But! I'm happy you came in, I'm definitely looking to hire. Do you have any work experience, or any skills you feel would be useful in a bakery?"
Arias was friendly enough, but he had been working nonstop this morning and couldn’t seem to take a break; even when trying to make friends, he had business on the brain. And maybe was just a little too excited about getting someone in here to help out.

This man was not at all what Wies was expecting. As much as he liked baked goods he never actually came in paying enough attention to notice the person who was serving him. The Owner was younger than he thought. His mind had formed an image of some fat ol' man standing with a beer belly the size of a watermelon, and a grizzly ol' beard. Instead this guy was pretty normal looking, Sans the fake arm. But hey, he had a fake arm, his mom had a fake eye, people just seemed to be damaged by default as of recent. Except Wies. He was awesome. "It's fine, I don't doubt you. I've been part of that busy crowd more than a few times." He cracked a toothy smile to the baker as the tried to fight back the low rumbling of his gut. It was like a monster when it came to the smell of bread. Just wanted to eat everything in sight! "Work experience, no. This would be my first official job. I've done school bake sale before, if that counts? I know a bit about the kitchen, the basics, and I've made bread a few times before, but since I'm new, I figure i'd be more handling customers? I am always in a good mood." That was such a lie and he knew it. "And I am good with working with people. I'd like to think I'm pretty flexible in most situations."

Arias just smiled. "Sometimes I might need help with pulling things out of the oven or decorating, but for the most part, dealing with customers is the majority of what I need help with. Being in a good mood is always a plus, and adaptability is a necessity. And, at the end of the day, you can help yourself to anything leftover. We back fresh everyday, so if you want to eat everything…"
He just laughed. "You'll have your chance. What hours are you available to work? Right now it's just me. The other girls who work here are," he faltered, then hastily picked up, "On leave."
…One should be back soon. The other…he just didn't know.
"So, things might be a bit hectic for starters. I don't want to work you too much, but…I need help around here, fast. So, if you're willing to learn and put in your best effort, I have no issue hiring you on the spot and we can work everything out when you come in again—all the legal aspects, you know? I'll make sure I give you a list of things you need right now if you're serious about this job."

As stressed as this guy very obviously seemed to be he still managed to have an engaging and attractive smile. Wies wouldn't admit that he only half heard what Arias said as he was too engaged in watching his mouth move. "Uhh.. Huh..? Oh, oh, right, hours.. I uh.. I can come after school, so after then, til closing. And I am free weekends. Granted it IS the summer, so I should be free to work long hours as long as we're not interfering with my draining times or anything." Ugh... Those things were so freaking inconvenient, and he always felt tired afterwards. Atleast sometimes those bastards gave him some snacks afterwards. There was no way in hell he wanted to work for them though. Those bastards.. The man seemed so stressed for work that he'd be willing to take on a newbie worker like it was nothing and he almost felt sad about it. And slightly offended because he was probably at the bottom of the barrel for potential employees but since this dude was pretty hot, and bread was his forever gal he'd stay along. That and money! "I'm totally serious. Like.. 400% Serious, and I'm here to help you out! Let me know what needs to be done, and I'll do it! And yeah, legal stuff next time."

Arias seemed relieved; Wies might not have been the ideal candidate, but any help was good help. "Excellent! Let me make a list real quick, and..." His voice trailed off as he reached for a notepad and began to scribble things down for the male. It didn't take him terribly long, but on several occasions he paused, pursed his lips and seemed lost in thought as he's trained to think of anything to add to the list.
When he was finished, he slid the list over and smiled again. "My phone number is at the bottom, so if you have any questions or need anything, please feel free to call. Any hour is fine, I'm almost always up," he laughed, though it was a sad truth and he had to force a laugh. Still, his smile was real--and he was delighted at the prospect of having another pair of hands around to help.
PoddlyPood omg i am so sorry this is so short; i was tagging on my phone and it looked so much longer ;v;

Kyuseisha no Hikari i ain't mean to be so slow sweatdrop work ate me like a delicious grilled cheese sandwich. For a second Wies was confused as to how he was going to write his list with no arms. Was he going to write it with his toes? Holy hell how did he even bake with his feet?! Then the second arm appeared and his mind was blown. He was too too focused on the fake one to even realize the older man had a second fully functional arm. Thank the flying spaghetti monster that he didn't say his surprise outloud! The list got longer and longer and Wies' smile faded a bit. Damn, so much for a cushiony job with all the sweets he could eat and little to no contact. He hated people so much. Not this guy though, he was chill. He hated other people who didn't have any influence over him besides him hating them by default. There was no discrimination. He hated everyone. Especially Negas but that was a given. Smile bounced back up as his new 'boss' looked up at him and smiled back. Damn was he fine. Holy yes he'd call him. Was he too desperate? It sounded so in his head so after beating that little hormonal voice into submission he nodded and took the sheet of paper, looking it over. Okay it wasn't too bad. Alot but not ALOT alot. "So.. Boss. Where should I start with this? Once I get into the groove of things you should go and find ya'self a nice place to take a break. You defs look like you could use one."

Arias blinked, as if surprised that someone would suggest that he should take a break. He liked to think he was so good at hiding his tired he was, but...it had been a long day, maybe he was showing a little more than normal. "Oh?" He asked with false curiosity; he was quick to laugh it off. "Well, we'll see. If there are more hands around here, I might take a break."
Might. But, knowing him...
Probably not.
"Anyway! You ought to get home, get your things together. You want something for the road?" He asked, gesturing towards the baked goods resting out on the counter. He seemed to have plenty and was all too ready to pawn what was left off on someone else--especially if it was a little less for him to clean before at closing.
poddlypood It is okay! Take your time, no rush!
