 Carna was back out in the fray, hungering for another win for her god, Corrupter. She sniffed about, and a horrid scent reached her nose and she growled as she focused on it; a shadow follower was nearby that ..for some reason stood out more than the others. She narrowed her eyes and charged him, leaping at him to try and take him down to the ground. HP: 20

 HP: 18Marcial was out patrolling again after taking a rest from his last fight. He traded up for a better weapon, a steal spear wrapped in leather with sharp points at both ends. After his last battle, his old spear was out of commission, but it had somehow manage to sustain itself during the fight. He thanked his blessing for that, the shadows helped him more now. His sharp ears twitched as an enemy jumped at him. He managed to dodge her attempt at taking him to the ground, but he managed to catch his arm. He spun his heavy spear over his head and tried to bash her in a hard swing.

Carna didn't seem fazed by missing her tackle, she landed on all fours like an animal and turned, tail lashing as she saw the spear come up, she darted to the side, feeling it lightly brush her as she leaped at him again to try and tackle him once more.

Marcial was knocked down and the wind was knocked out of him. It didn't seem possible that this cursed beast could come at him so forcefully. At this range he couldn't use his spear, so he opted for his dagger, stabbing at his foe's chest.

Carna landed on him and felt his body hit the ground hard, but she didn't even have time to think before a dagger was stuck in her. She howled in pain, but it didn't stop her from trying to rain punches down upon his face.

The cursed was getting him good, but he needed her off of him if he could have any advantage. He called on the shadows beneath him in an attempt to push her off as he proceeded to kick at her midsection and pull back his dagger.

Carna looked really surprised at being pushed off her foe -- and not apparently with any of his limbs, either -- when he pulled the dagger out at the same time, she grunted in pain as she rolled, but ignored the bleeding as she darted back in, trying to kick him -- whether he was managing to get on his feet or not.

Marcial did his best to block, but the force of her blow still hurt as he put up his spear. Now she was close again and the shadows reacted to his thoughts. They snaked through his spear and did their best to hold her there as the priest took his dagger and tried to stick it in her leg.

Carna actually SAW the shadows this time and her eyes widened. This guy could use magic? Was he close to the shadow god in some way to be able to use them? She wondered if this is why he smelled extra wrong to her, as she was somehow held still, and she never saw the dagger, being so distracted, and it stuck deep into her leg, effectively hamstringing her. She howled again, and her pronged tail lashed and tried to stick in his leg to return the favor.

And return the favor she did. Marcial grunted and twisted his face in pain. The cursed's tail had gotten him good. He needed to detach himself from his enemy, so with a quick maneuver he tried to push her off and stab her with his spear. The shadows left the staff and acted as a bandage to try to stop the bleeding from his leg.

Carna was about to punch him again when she felt herself pushed off, her tail flailing to try to keep her balance, and she was not expecting more than that, before she knew it the spear was in her and THROUGH her, she looked down dully for a moment, coughing up some blood before looking back at him. Her eyes narrowed, her tail still lashing as she grabbed the spear haft in front of her to keep him from pulling it out, she wanted to keep him CLOSE.... and it was already through her anyway...a crazy grin split her features as she moved forward, hauling herself forward using the haft. When she was close enough she'd simply lash a fist out at his face.

Marcial was more that impressed that the cursed just chose to keep the spear in her and move closer to him, he wasn't quick enough to fully dodge her attack, but it did graze him. With his spear and dagger already in the cursed, the priest had no other choice than to try to kick her back so he could pull out the end and stab her once more.

Carna was on so much adrenaline she wasn't paying any attention to how tired she was, both exhaustion from fighting and blood loss. When he kicked her back off the spear, and stabbed her with it again, she groaned, everything suddenly going hazy as she slumped, sliding off the end of the spear and onto the ground, passing out almost immediately.

:: She looked about the field again, bobbing high overhead.... enjoying the sights of mayhem below her... Her pale eyes finding a lone female Cursed that she would start to drift towards slowly, taking in all the blood and wounds on the other... her soft lilting voice sing-songed, "Love me?...." her bag clutched in her arms, holding it securely to her chest as she'd use her strings to start taking out a syringe, gauze and clean water as well as antiseptic as she'd stare down at the unconscious cursed...::

(Oh noooo xD) Carna knew absolutely nothing but darkness even as the healer floated down to her and started preparing to work on her -- she had expended so much energy she was unconscious from exhaustion almost as much as from blood loss. She didn't so much as stir an inch.
