Not like the time he cleaned the shibe cage, and then had to spend an extra half hour making a barricade out of lab chairs in order to corner the stubborn canine and return it to it's freshly cleaned cage.
Or that morning he found a note saying some of the creatures had gotten into the FEAR candy and practically gorged themselves the night before. He had to get the hose involved that time.
And then there was the time with the anglocoptor. Never had he wanted so badly to throw a minipet into the sea and let it get eaten by larger monsters.
No, everything had gone well. Oliver was even a bit ahead of schedule, so when he reported for morning duties, he was told to wait for the new trainee to arrive so he could show them around the lab. Waiting was Oliver's worst enemy. By the time Xi arrived, she would find him nervously scribbling doodles of dinosaur bone structure in a little notepad he liked to carry with him.
How had he gotten to the point where he could be trusted to show new trainees things? Weren't there more qualified Life hunters (or even trainees like himself) for the job?
