He had started work on the tree home almost as soon as Rishima had left him with his family. Though it was a bittersweet goodbye he soon dispatched his sadness and replaced it with an enthusiasm to make their home. It took quite a bit of asking from his father as well the others around town to get the information he would need to build the proper house. It was one thing to want to do something and then quite another having the skill set to do it. The poor hybrid had to redo the foundation twice as the first time he put up a wall the whole thing became unstable and he had to start from scratch.
He had been able to receive advise from someone in the village on what he did wrong and thus he began anew. So the bones were back in place and the guy was forced to rest as the heat of the day was making it far too muggy to proceed.
Sitting on a rock he drank from his water skin and nibbled on a piece of fruit. He couldn't wait to have the home finished and do a bit unveiling for his lover. Alright his one sided love. Though Rishima had agree to live with him so that was a step forward right?

The alkidike woman was still on the hunt for the dretch, so consumed by her search she found that rumors of their whereabouts often lead to dead ends. Her presence wasn't widely accepted in all the towns and villages, apparently even in these days of way old hatreds could still rear their ugly heads.
Sighing as each lead was a waste of time she started thinking on the ones she hadn't seen in awhile. Rishima... how long had it been? She had seem him briefly at the start of the war, she knew that he would be alright but she still hadn't actually confirmed his health. Plus there was that other strange and younger hybrid that seemed to stick to Rishima like a puppy.
Snickering she wondered if those two had managed to get anywhere. It was painfully obvious that the younger one had feelings for Rishima, but it seemed rather one sided. Moving through the trees and lost in her thoughts for a moment she blinked as she saw a structure in front of her. The bare bones of a home.. Though she didn't understand the draw of living in the trees as her people lived underground. Still she lighted upon a nearby branch and had to flinch at just how rough it was. This certainly wasn't being made by a professional. So who would be crazy enough to try an build something without any skill in the field?
Looking about for the owner of this self claimed disastour she spotted the white skin almost instantly as he stuck out like a sore thumb against the earth below. Wait...she knew this man. It was the one who clung to Rishima. Smirking she couldn't help herself as she went about moving around the tree home to be visible.
"You there...you arn't planning on living in this thing are you?" She inquired with a tinge of smugness in her voice.

The young hyrbid had not anticipated company and almost choked on the fruit he was eating. Spluttering he used a fist to bang against his chest before looking up finally to locate the body of the voice. The ...voice sure did sound familar...oh...no. It was her. Now don't get him wrong, it wasn't as if he hated the woman, the alkidike named Jerarda, but he couldn't help but feel jealous when he was around Rishima. They had such a close bond after all.
"ah well yes I am, we myself and Rishima anyway." Gerraden managed with a large grin, although it was a tad on the forced side. He didn't want Jerarda to dislike him, what if she told Rishima he had treated her unkindly? Nope just better to ignore her snide comment and let it slide.

Oho, this was for the two of them was it? Well then that was interesting. After all it looked as if the young hybrid down below had made some advancements on her 'brother' of sorts. His conversation though lacked conviction, why wouldn't he defend the house he was building for the two of them?
"You know Alkidikes live under the tree's....not above them." She managed off offhandedly, wondering just how many of his buttons she would be able to push to get him to get angry. Moving she poked a rather unstable looking post with the tip of her spear and flinched a bit as the whole structure seemed to shudder.
"You trying to get him killed? This thing is about to fall apart."

It was hard not to feel like she was taking a stab at him the house he was building...and well...him on a personal level. Was she trying to pick a fight with him? No no that couldn't be it. Shaking his head he forced another smile on his face.
"Ah...you think so? I admit I am a novice when it comes to building houses." He managed as he skimmed over the building's structure and noting that perhaps ....it wasn't really that safe.

Raising an eyebrow at him she had to wonder how much of that smile was fake. After all she had just insulted his workmanship, sure at this point he would be angry right? Leaning on her spear she looked back to the skeletal structure and then gave a slight shrug.
"I just find it weird your building a home in the tree's. Don't you know anything about your alkidike heritage? We live under the great tree's amongst the roots of the trees. Surely..you don't expect Rishima to live in a tree house? What are you trying to do play house?" She asked her lips pursed as she teased the young man.
