Istas rarely powered up as Hugbell anymore, since she was a princess she didn't want to attract attention if she could keep from it but something was starting to bother her. She felt like something was wrong, and she needed someone to talk to about it.
So she went in search of a small manx, that she knew use to like cake. Istas knew times were rough for everyone, but she still had managed to get her hands on some snack cakes and kept them in case she did run into *********. Tonight she was making a habit of searching out the cat and looking in the usual places she met the cat.
"Oh. . . I hope I find ********* soon." She whispered under her breath while looking for the cat at one of the playgrounds that actually appeared abandoned. She hadn't seen her in forever and there was a point to looking here. This was one of the playgrounds the chibis use to meet up at when she first was awoken. "I don't like having to be out at night without being able to be. . . me." The teen was concerned and was hoping she wouldn't run into any of the Negaverse officers that she'd seen patrol.

If a certain manx felt like exaggerating, she could have said it had been years since she had seen this playground. However, that would be a lie, considering that she was an active member of the guard. Many times she would be upon the shoulder of a fellow Guard, dampening auras as were a necessity during these trying times. On occasion she'd have to be powered up as well, assisting in any skirmish that arose.
"...now... it is debatable as to whether or not it is safe to be out like this right now..."
The cat wasn't visible yet, but she apparently had noticed someone's presence.

Istas frozen when the voice spoke. "Oh please let that be you *********. . ." She replied quietly, looking around a little panicked. The young woman wasn't about to power up but she seemed to take a little bit of a stance in case she had to fight something.
"I-I'd feel better if I could see you." She added. Istas had chose to live in the city because her mother refused to leave it but in truth Istas really wanted to be helping the resistance and did what she could for them when she could manage but she felt like something was wrong. Which made her worry.

A bush rustled a bit and eventually out came a familiar manx. Though she was familiar, she definitely was not the same cat she used to be. Her body definitely had lost some of the luxurious chub that had clung to her form before.
"...you probably shouldn't be seen with me..." was the realistic assessment of the situation that the cat offered. However, the Mauvian smiled.
"...but it is good to see you are still around and kicking... How have things been for you?"

Butter yellow eyes found the Manx when she came out of the brush, not quite as chubby and the teen knelt down to look at the cat, "I'm sure I shouldn't. . . but I needed to talk to someone. . . and you're the only one I can think of." She said softly, as she looked around and noticed the pirate ship was still there.
"We might can hide over there?" She suggested motioning towards the old pirate ship it was a little over grown but still should be habitable, remembering as kids how the chibis gathered there for meetings on occasion.
She nodded, "I'm okay, my father's been lost to the negaverse. Everyone thinks he's dead, I'm . . . not so sure." She said softly as she waited to see if the cat would move towards the ship. "Which is why I needed to talk to you." Istas hadn't said anything to anyone about why she thought her father might still be alive.

Rather than go for the comfort of the familiar setting upon the playground, ********* seemed to back up into the bush again, hiding herself.
"...I imagine it would be safer for you to keep talking to a bush, rather than to crawl into the play yard... might seem out of place..."
Talking to a bush apparently was not out of place.
Carefully, the Mauvian restrained her movements so her collar wouldn't sound. It meant she couldn't nod as she listened to the issue Istas explained.
"...that is... unfortunate..." she said carefully as the girl explained her potential family member in the Negaverse. "...it isn't unheard of these days... but it is still unfortunate..."
She contemplated a bit more before adding "...Is there something specific you needed to know?"

Istas frowned when ********* denied and backed up to the bush again, ". . . if you say so. . ." She said stooping down at least this way it looked like she was trying to get the cat out from the bush if anyone happened by.
Istas hadn't been the little girl she once was and she would admit that, "Yes . . . do you know a Negaverse agent with Pink and Black hair?" She asked pointedly, "He took my father and . . . I'm worried. . ." Istas was biting the bottom of her lip while her hand was held out for the cat who wouldn't come.
"I don't think he's killed him. . . I think something more awful has happened. . ." She kept trailing off when she tried to mention she thought they were watching her house. She wanted to say it. She did, but it wouldn't come out.

The mention of the Negaverse agent with pink and black hair was all ********* needed to know.
"Labyrinthite."
It was a simple answer.
"General King Labyrinthite."
There was something very off with the manx's tone. She had lost her generally cheery tone and instead seemed to replace it with a mournful tone.
"He... has haunted my girls for years now. Wears a dark hood and wields a chained scythe. He... is not known for any sort of leniency. Especially with the allies of a Senshi."
There was no comfort in the manx's words, for how could one soften the blow that came with Labyrinthite being involved in anything related to a family member.

Hugbell's brows knitted as she listened to the answer, "But . . . why would he be after me or my family?" She seemed concerned when ********* said he was after her girls.
"Is everyone okay?" She asked in regards to Iris and the rest of the asteroids. Of course, she was worried about almost everyone in the city since there was a lot of things going on.
She shifted on her knee, "I think . . . I need to get my mother and 'cadia out of the city, at least for a little while. Neither of them are going to want to go I don't think." She sighed as she rested her chin on the knee that she was steadying herself with now.

After all this time, Hugbell still did not see to have a grasp of the situation she had gotten herself into years ago. The cat's fur seemed to puff up a bit, though certain sections seemed to stick down due to mats.
"...I have a theory... and you aren't going to like it..."
With a heaved sigh, the Mauvian continued on.
"You saved Iris when she fell off that building those years ago, yes? I don't know if you are aware of this, but Iris was forcefully pushed off that building... a sort of ambush if you will."
There was a pause.
"The agent was Labyrinthite."
There was nothing but silence after the explanation.

There was a pause as she looked at the bush, "That was him?"
It had been eons since she'd saved Iris and hadn't seen the officer or who ever it was that had caused Iris to fall since. "But that was. . . . oh lord what almost eight years or more ago."
She sat there as the situation slowly sunk in. "I have to get mama out of the city. And Schee. . . and and and. . ." She wanted to move but for some reason was stuck there looking bewildered. "I wonder what he's done to papa. . ." She almost whispered the last part, trying not to let her imagination run with various torture methods.

********* wished she could tell Istas that everything would be okay. However, that would be flat out lying. And lying during the middle of such a war would potentially cost more lives.
The manx instead mentioned "...Labyrinthite's hatred would not be doused in such a menial amount of time... his wrath knows no bounds. His hatred runs deep."
Istas was fortunate to still have family and to still have a life outside of the senshi uniform. So the guardian's warning was absolutely sincere as she offered it.
"...you need to be particularly careful in how you handle these matters, Istas. If you are careless... things will only get worse..."

Istas looked towards were ********* was as she spoke giving a soft nod. "I fear they may soon get worse." She'd found something under the ball of bewilderness. "I let it slip he had my father. When he took him I couldn't stop my self from screaming for him to give my father back. I feel like now I've been biding my time until he's after me."
The child glanced around, "I'm getting my mother of out the city even if it kills me." She paused, "Do you think Iris would be willing to help me with Labyrinthite and to get my father back?" Iris was the strongest senshi that Hugbell knew of, she was never easy around the edges. It was that sort of spitfire Hugbell felt would be necessary from what ********* was speaking of. Though the question was, would Iris even care or just laugh at the teenager for going after such a target?
There was a long painful pause as the teenager thought about what she was saying and planning out in her head. "If . . . he's still alive that is." Hugbell had never really been one to just flat out fight. She'd tried to lay low and keep the children comforted. She was comfort after all, and her theory had always been words wins over fists. The senshi had been lucky to not be forced into living just her powered life, though she felt that was about to change.

The cat was careful as she shook her head slowly from side to side. She didn't need her collar to announce her location to the world, despite the obvious girl crouched in front of the bush.
"I have no means of contacting Iris, and from what I have been told, she is busy with a mission on the battlefield. It could potentially compromise the mission..."
Not that ********* knew what the mission was. Even in speaking to Thetis, she didn't get all that many details to the mission itself.
"...I am sorry I cannot be any more help, Istas... but everyone is stretched kind of thin these days..."

Istas sighed as ********* shook her head and replied. There was no Iris, she understood but it was going to be more difficult. The teenager finally pulled around her bag and pulled out a small thing of food.
"Yes, everyone is. I miss the old days where we didn't have to fear; but I understand." She had been keeping eyes on where she was. Still having appeared to be coaxing a lost kitty out of the bush.
"I'll see you later. Take care and be safe," She said softly before placing the food inside the bush without leaving ********* a choice if she was to take the food or not. "If you won't come out poor kitty at least have something to eat. I know you're scared but it'll be okay." She gave a small wink to ********* before standing up and walking off pausing as if to watch and see if the 'kitty' had come out any.
"I guess at least, we still have hope." She sighed under her breath.
