The fingers of Lellouch's hand twitched as she stirred, shifting her position amongst the branches of the tree she currently resided in. She had been sleeping. Or atleast, what she now refereed to as sleeping. A wind stirred, rustling the leaves in the tress around her. It caused limbs to creak and strands of her hair to sway in the stream till it eventually died down. Picking her head up off her arm, Lellouch opened her eyes as she surveyed the grounds around her. It was the same as always. Quiet as ever. A short distance off, Lellouch could make out the ruins of an old church. It had burned down a few years ago in some strange accident. A rustle of leaves caught the blonde attention and she watched as a squirrel shimmed its way down another tree only to bounce along the ground through the ivy that had over taken the earthen floor. It had gotten fairly close to her tree before it suddenly veered to the side. Damn. So close too. Lellouch yawned as she laid her head back down. It was quiet. But she knew it wouldn't last long. Bluefire Dragonz ...We need to stop making me write starts at like... 2-3 in the morning. Heeeeeere Tanais.. Look at the pretty birdy.

The deer had made quite a trek across country, far farther than it would have normally. Normally, it would have long out run whatever predator had singled it out, but what was chasing it out was a far different beast.
The panicked animal darted from the concealment of the forest towards the abandoned church, making it most of the way across before a woman burst from the foliage behind it and gave chase. Dark hair flowed thickly down her back, twisted into braids that bounced as she leaped a fallen headstone and pounded across the over-grown lawn. Her knight aura burned hot and large, though this far out from the city, she hadn't thought she needed to worry about standing out to powered senses.
A sudden metallic snap and a bellow of pain pulled Tanais up short and she stared in confusion as the deer fell to the ground and flailed about, its delicate leg caught in... a bear trap? The ********...? Hunter's focus broken, the knight was finally able to sense what she'd been blind to before... the sickening feel of a chaos signature practically right on top of her and red eyes blazed as her fists came up and gauntlets appeared on them, her stance falling into defensive mode.
"Oi!" She called out as she tried to focus in on where the signature was coming from. "I know you're here! Come out, b***h, and face my fists!"

The tell tale song of metal snapping shut around something drew the corrupts attention instantly. It was a sound she was very familiar with. She crept down the tree, slinking down the branches much like a cat stalking its pray. The corrupt blinked, tilting her head this way and that at the Knight. Lellouch stalked closer, taking some calculated steps through the ivy that engulfed her bare feet as she moved. "Well aren't you a feisty one..." Lellouch mused as she fully descended from the tree. There was something... familiar... about this Knight and Lellouch couldn't quite put her finger on it.. But never mind that.. Lellouch glanced towards the flailing animal as it tried to regain it's composer before ultimately failing and falling back to the ground. "You know..." She began. "You might want to put the poor thing out of it's misery before it-" The blonde was cut off as another metalic snap resonated through the air. "..Ah.. Never mind then." Lellouch sighed as she pulled her eyes away from the deer. The stupid creature had managed to drop it's head on yet another of her traps. Oh well. That's what they were there for after all. "..Who are you." The Ascended asked. "Or rather... Who were you." Bluefire Dragonz AGAIN WITH THE TAGS AT 3 AM. WHEN WILL I LEARN

The deer was ignored in favor the ascended senshi that crept down out of the tree above it, drawing Tanais's eyes to her like a magnet. Even when it flailed and got its head caught in another trap, the metallic snap of the jaws closing drew no response from the mars knight.
Instead, senses stretched wide, reading the area for other signatures and finding... none. Were they really completely alone here? A mirthless smile slid over the woman's face. Perfect... no one to come to her rescue when the knight ground her into crystal dust. Lifting her gauntlet covered hands, Tanais cracked her knuckles with audible pops, carefully avoiding spearing herself with her own knuckle spikes.
"An Ascended! How lovely... and all alone too. Pretty little black bird... you're not very clever, are you? Out here all alone with no one to save you from the wild cat." She said as she smiled wider, showing straight white teeth in a fashion that would have fit fangs better. "I just love the way your kind crunches when I crush your throats... Its a delightful sound."
Well, the girl had asked a question, it would only be right to answer her before she put out her corrupted light.
"I'm Tanais, Knight of Mars." She said as she jerked a thumb at her chest. still grinning like a Cheshire. "People tell me, before I purified, I went by Cinnabar."

Lellouch merely blinked when her intelligence was called into question. "I know quite a few people on my side that would agree with that particular statement.." She murmured, watching the other carefully. Then she smiled lightly. "I know... I love it too. It's such a beautiful sound isn't it? Then all of a sudden she scowled, hissing almost like a cat. " Cinnabar." So this is what had happened to her. Lellouch had spent many nights wondering. Something about the whole disappearing act just hadn't settled right with her. "So this is what's be come of you. What's the matter. Did you get bored of things over here? Did you want to see what it feels like to be the weaker one? The dying species that's soon to be extinct." She then snorted lightly. "Though, you always did like a challenge. So maybe I shouldn't be so surprised." But even still. "Oh well. That's quite a shame. I preferred it better when you were here with me. But then again, one more of you doesn't matter."

The reaction she got for the name was eye-opening and she rocked her weight onto the balls of her feet, ready for any sort of reaction from the ascended. Obviously, they'd known each other before, when she'd been soaked in chaos, but the reaction made her wonder just how well. Soon enough a cocky grin split Tanais's face and she lifted her hands to crack her knuckles in a bit of a show, cocking a rounded hip outwards.
"Do I look like the weaker one, Blackbird? If you're uncertain, I would be happy to show you. If its any consolation, I have no idea what drove me to purify, only that I woke up with this baby..." Dropping a hand, the tall woman tapped a finger to the long, twisting scar that ran down her thigh. "And a lot of missing memories."
"But hey, I'm satisfied with my lot in life." Tanais said as she lifted her hands again, closing them into fists. "I get to break up people like you as much as I please. It just... feels good. Feels right. You really should have stayed closer to your flock."
That was about all the warning the senshi got before the mars knight rushed her, spiked gauntlets raised.

"Your side is fighting a rapidly losing battle, yet you all refuse to give up to some mundane sense of hope for some asinine reason. So yes, I would say you do look like one." The blonde corrupts eyes narrowed at the name. How ironic. "You don't remember me do you? Tell me... Do you remember a girl by the name of Jaysen? Blonde, blue eyes. A bratty little b***h?" She jumped quickly launching herself back at and up into the tree, twisting into the branches with a sneer. "And what about you? I can call my sordid excuse of a "flock" any time. But remember, chaos holds this place. There are more of my "flock" then there are of you to go around. Can you keep yourself save long enough to make it back to your 'lot in life'?"
