While she hadn’t been able to defeat the first Kiandri Minerva had taken on, returning home with low spirits before continuing, the second one had been a whole lot easier to deal with. Getting a weapon had been easier, she felt more focused and as such hadn’t panicked like the last time she’d come face to face with the Kiandri. She didn’t feel tired and decided to hunt down a second Kiandri that very same day. She had stopped briefly to grab a bite and stay hydrated but as soon as those were done she was heading out with a determined pace.
Her third Kiandri she found sleeping. It was larger than the other two she’d first encountered, but that didn’t stop her from advancing on the sleeping beast. The wind blew towards the dragon though, sending her smell towards him and the Kiandri opened his eye to spot her advancing on him. He roared, an angry sound that had Minerva stopping her pace. The Kiandri jumped down from its rock, staring her down. It was ready for a good long fight, but was she? Minerva was confident though and as such she threw the first hit towards the dragon.
It retaliated quickly, even dodging her first attack with ease. That did not stop either of them from going at it, both took hits but no one stopped. She was slowing down and she knew it, she was tired this fight had taken triple the time of her previous one and they still weren’t done. So, Minerva began to slowly back out. The Kiandri did not make a move to step forward, letting her go just as much as she was letting it go. At some point their attacks could no longer reach each other and they just stared. It was a mutual agreement that both would be on their way.
