Name: Jaime Bicker.
Age: 16.
Gender: Male.
Height: 5' 4".
Body type: Youth.
Facial expression: Furrowed brows. Usually scowling.
Hair: Dark brown. A few inches past shoulder length. Has bangs in a centre part and keeps the rest in a loose braid.
Eye color: Hazel.
Skin color: Peach.
Profession: Wallist monk.
Military outfit: Standard.

Personality:
Jaime takes everything a little too seriously; he takes himself especially seriously. He does not have much in the way of a sense of humour and tends to misunderstand and take offence to friendly jibes. Unfortunately, he has a very short-fuse and frequently flies off the handle at the slightest provocation, whether intentional or not. He is known to pick fights with strangers just for looking at him the wrong way. It's not unusual to see him carrying a few bruises. Despite his seemingly violent nature, Jaime does not particularly enjoy altercations. However he has a lot of pent-up frustration that he does not know how to express outside of physical aggression.

Jaime is quick to jump to conclusions and equally quick to take action, for better or for worse. He is exceptionally focussed and is motivated by a sense of righteousness. He is not afraid to tackle danger if he can help someone in need or better mankind. While an admirable trait by itself, Jaime tends to only see one side of things. The world is distinctly divided into good and evil. Of course, Jaime knows that it isn't really, but when it comes to making split-second decisions it might as well be. And once Jaime has made up his mind about how something is, it is difficult for him to absorb a new perspective. He can be pretty easy to manipulate in this regard, as he rarely considers alternatives.

Jaime doesn't really do tact. He expresses his opinions without shame, no matter how harmful they might be. That does not mean though that he goes out of his way to be rude. For the most part he is self-assured in his beliefs and moral integrity. However, especially of late, he has had troubling thoughts regarding the Wallist's teachings. While he will gladly break the nose of anyone who argues otherwise, he secretly harbours some doubt as to the divinity of the walls. He has so many questions that the priests cannot answer and they only feed into his frustration. As a result, Jaime has taken on a rebellious attitude. A part of him still believes that the walls are of holy creation, but another part of him simultaneously rejects the notion. He is teetering between two very different walks of life and he is unsure which to choose. More than that though, he is unsure what to make of himself.

Jaime has a particular fondness for dark chocolate. He also enjoys thunderstorms. Perhaps he feels that he shares their violent nature... or he just appreciates the weather's theatrics. He does not care much for puzzles; though he may have the mental agility for them, he does not possess the patience. He would much rather have a fast, easy answer. He strongly dislikes bees and other stinging insects for obvious reasons. In his spare time he enjoys reading, non-fiction especially, and carving, both wood and wax. On warm days, he likes to nap out under the sun.

History:
Jaime was born to a poor family in the western district of wall Maria. They were not completely impoverished; after all they had a roof over their heads and enough to eat. They could afford very little else though, as most of their money went towards maintaining the small clinic that Jaime's parents ran. Both were qualified doctors and might have made a sizeable income had they been more selective in their clientèle. However they rarely turned away a client, no matter how little they got in exchange. As long as they had enough money to scrape by, they would offer their aid with minimal charge.

Around the time of Jaime's fifth birthday, his parents' impartial attitude proved fatal. They had a policy of not inquiring as to their patients' backgrounds, and as it turned out several patients were involved in one of the town's street gangs. When a rival gang discovered their involvement, their house and clinic was torched for it. Jaime's parents managed to escape the fire with their son but sustained serious damage. Jaime's father passed away a day later. His mother meanwhile survived despite severe burns, but she was neurologically crippled from the effects of the smoke. Fortunately a family friend, Renald Whit, was prepared to take them in.

Renald was a member of the Wallists, a cult regarded by many as a touch mad. Renald was no exception, though he might have been a little better than most. At heart he always had the best of intentions and was a giving, charismatic individual, so it seemed safe enough to stay in his care. Besides, with Jaime's mother disabled and their home burned to the ground, there was no other option.

From then on, Jaime was largely raised by Wallist monks. Renald was not always free to look after the boy, and his mother hardly able, so the task often fell to Renald's fellow cultists. Jaime did not mind much; it was like an extended family, complete with the crazy. He was quick to adapt to their lifestyle and readily accepted their teachings. In school he initially faced ridicule from his peers for his beliefs, but in time he learned how to silence that kind of talk with a basilisk glare... that is, after he had demonstrated he knew how to throw a punch.

When Jaime was nine, his mother passed away. She had grown increasingly sick over the past few months so her death came as no surprise. Even so, it was a trying time for Jaime. He began to isolate himself from others, not trusting his feelings to the world. Soon he became accustomed to working by himself, and found solitude preferable to the company of others. To distract his mind from thoughts of grief, Jaime threw himself into his studies, both religious and practical. He was well on his way to becoming a full fledged Wallist.

Then, around the time he turned fourteen, something changed. What exactly that something was, Jaime could not be sure. As he grew older though his mind began to fill up with questions: questions about the walls, the titans, and the outside world. Unfortunately the priests had little answers outside of those from their books which were entirely unsatisfactory. Jaime had reached an impasse. He was unwilling to relinquish his faith but mad with curiousity. Frustrated beyond reason and torn on what he wanted to do, he turned aggressive. He acquired something of a reputation during this time, not wholly bad but not wholly good either. Certainly the ones he took his spleen out on usually had it coming, but that did not change the fact that he was wild, unpredictable, and prone to blowing things out of proportion.

Two years later, when his resentment towards the Wallists peaked, Jaime decided to join the military. He convinced himself and his guardian that he wanted to oversee that no harm was done to the walls, but in truth the sudden move was more in part due to the innate need to rebel as well as to satisfy his curiosity. Although Jaime has some regrets as to his decision, he knows he would have more if he did not at least try to find answers. He is still unsure of which division he wishes to pursue.

Other:
Jaime has thick, expressive brows, a snub nose, and a square jaw. The right upper half of his body is blotched with old burn scars. The scars cover approximately half his face, half his torso, and all of his right arm.

Jaime is tone deaf and completely clueless to the fact. It is painful to listen to the choir when he is in attendance.
