It was well past midnight when Aludra arrived outside the hospital. She spurned the well lit, busy emergency exit used for common civilians, stalking past them like a wraith clothed in black and red. If anyone noticed her, it was only a quick glance before they found other things to look at, knowing better than to meddle in something that wasn’t their business. Around the corner to a second entrance, this one exclusively for Negaverse agents and a place she had never actually been before. The automatic doors slid open with a gentle ‘whoosh’ and Aludra stepped inside.
The reason she was here would be easily apparent to anyone. Left hand was clamped firmly over her right upper arm, blood oozing sluggishly out between the fingers. Someone had attempted to wrap a flimsy piece of gauze around the deep gash but was obvious that it would need at least a few stitches.
Despite her current predicament the Corrupt Senshi stood calmly in the brightly lit foyer of the hospital, her gaze drifting curiously around the room, as is committing every single detail to heart.

With first the establishing of the Medical Corps and then the work at the hospital and the donation centres keeping him busy at all times, it was little wonder that Amethyst hardly powered up anymore and knew next to nothing of the fates of those on the side of Order whom he had come across over the years prior. Finding that his civilian form served him far better in his role and duties, it was with a kindly smile that Boaz routinely went about checking on those who were placed under his command as well as those in their care at the end of the day. There was always certain danger and risk should one be prematurely allowed back onto the field without adequate down time to rest and recuperate. That was something that he firmly believed in and tried to inculcate in those of his branch.
Satisfied with the state of things at the moment, he had made his way to the foyer with the intent of heading back to his apartment to try to get some shut eye till his next shift was due a couple hours later. At least that was the initial plan until he saw the Corrupt Eternal Senshi who simply stood in the middle of the room looking lost and terribly out of place. A practiced glance almost immediately identified what had likely brought the young female to the hospital. It was something that was right up his alley and he couldn't really just turn a blind eye to that in favour of tending to his own needs. "Perhaps you'll like me to take a look at that for you Miss..." He posed, a polite smile on his face as he approached the other.
Duty before self. That was how Boaz had always strived to practice his trade.

Her gaze zeroed in on the man like a cat spotting a bird. Aludra said nothing at first, simply watched him, as if weighing up between letting him help and sticking her hand in his chest. Then a smile blossomed, bright and eager even if her eyes still held a hunter’s gleam. "Yes, I suppose so…" Her hand lifted off the wound and casually peeling off the piece of gauze and flicking it to the ground.
Her head turned to inspect the wound, the Corrupt sighed. "He cheated," she said, her tone petulant. “"He had a knife." The wound was running free again, blood flowing along the length of her arm.

As much as Boaz preferred to remain in his civilian form while on duty at the hospital and donation centres, there were times like this when he found himself having to make an exception in order to tailor to the needs of different individuals whom he had to attend to. The predatory look in Aludra's eyes as the Corrupted Eternal sized him up was not one that went unnoticed. It certainly wouldn't do at all if Aludra mistook him for a regular civilian and decided to off him while he was in the midst of tending to her wound. Nope. That was something that he would like to avoid as far as possible for her case.
Letting his civilian guise melt away into that of the Negaverse General that he actually was, Amethyst reached into the medical kit attached to his belt for a few fresh pieces of gauze to attempt to staunch the bleeding with. "Who is this he that you speak of? A civilian or one of those who still dares to oppose us?" He asked quietly, his remaining free hand gesturing towards a nearby treatment room which he knew would contain what he needed for the task at hand. "Come. This way..."

"Oh," Aludra's gaze slid sideways when he transformed in front of her, almost apologetically but not quite. It would have been bad form to attack a General in disguise, especially one of the medical staff. Her mind went through her internal catalogue of Negaverse Generals but couldn’t come up with a name. Probably ends in ‘ite’. Three cookies on that bet.
Her smile suddenly blossomed, wide and delighted. "Okay." The Corrupt followed his request, heading in the direction he’d indicated with a little spring to her step. "What’s your name?" She idly licked blood off her fingers, walking sideways to keep him in view at all times. "It was a silly little Squire. He ran out of magic and I was going to be the one who caught him, but then he cheated. It's not fair at all."

It wouldn't really surprise Amethyst if the Corrupted Eternal Senshi hadn't heard of him prior. Since that fateful meeting with General Mica back when he was still a Lieutenant and the subsequent setting up of the medical corps, he had made peace with himself, knowing that his place in the Negaverse was not on the frontline of the battlefield but retrieving and tending to the wounded among their ranks so that their officers could achieve a complete recovery in the shortest time possible.
"Amethyst. General Amethyst. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name Miss..?" His gaze grew curious at the smile on Aludra's face. The observation of the Senshi idly licking the blood off her fingers hinting at an unstable psyche which he himself had wondered at times as to whether it was brought on by the war itself or the corruption process she was subjected to.
"I see. It certainly isn't fair. Bringing a weapon into a fight against an unarmed enemy." Motioning his hand for her to take a seat, he next wheeled the procedural trolley over then began his preparation while he preempted her as to what was going to happen next. "I'm going to have to clean the wound so that I can better assess its severity and depth. It will likely sting a little but if it gets too much for you, just let me know and I'll stop immediately."

“Got it wrong,” she mumbled grumpily to herself when he revealed his name. It should have meant nothing to her, just another name amongst many but this one she decided to remember. She watched his face through lidded eyes, those merry pools of blue, where madness lurked behind the smile. “General Amethyst,” she repeated slowly. Yes, she might even come visiting again, next time without the wound.
She popped herself down on the seat, crossing her legs over and leaning back so she could look up at him. “Aludra.” She said to slowly, defining each syllable clearly so that it came out as A-lu-dra. “Do you like it?” The Corrupt held put her hands in her lap, lacing the fingers together and keeping her arm still.
“At least I’m having more fun than he is right now,” she laughed. “Do what you want Mr. Amethyst. It doesn’t matter to me. I’m not a little girl. I promise not to cry.”

"Wrong?"
Was there something he missed in their conversation? Setting the bottle of antiseptic down, Amethyst paused for a moment to think over what they had talked about thus far, eventually coming to the conclusion that Aludra couldn't have been referring to what little that were exchanged so far between the both of them. Resuming the task at hand, he put on a pair of gloves before picking up a pair of tweezers to retrieve a cotton ball that was soaked in the antiseptic he had poured earlier into the tray it was in following which he then brought it over to begin the process proper of cleaning the blood off her arm. He watched her expression closely like a hawk while he worked, wanting to ensure that he wasn't causing her any more discomfort on top of what she was already going through as a result of sustaining the injury.
"Aludra. Senshi of Pathways..."
There was a sharp intake of breath on his part the moment she volunteered her name, his voice barely more than a whisper as he muttered the sphere that her powers were derived from. He remembered little Aludra alright. It had been five years since she was a sweet and innocent chibi senshi who couldn't even bring herself to kill her double even if her life depended on it.
"Yeah."
He lifted his gaze from the wound to give the Corrupted Eternal a good look over, his hand picking up a piece of gauze now to gently dab at her wound. Had it really just been five years since they last ran into each other? "So how long has it been since you joined the Negaverse?" Had she forgotten entirely about him? Surely she would have shown some sign of recognition by now if his name had struck a chord with her.
"Do you remember anything of your past?"

The smile turned into a frown and then almost immediately returned to being a grin as her brain quickly gave her the perfect reason for his surprise. “You’ve heard of me,” she purred, pleased with herself. Of course, all the good work she’d been doing recently must be getting around. It was a shame she couldn’t have recognized him name in turn. Now she liked him even more.
Aludra looked back at him, studying his face with no recognition, just a vague feeling of pleasure. “It feels like forever,” she said, making the last word suitably dramatic. Time, even in the simplest sense of ‘x many years’ was a concept she found difficult to express. Before and after was all she needed.
Then the smiles were just a memory and she almost pulled her arm right out of his grasp, the motion quickly aborted with a tensing of her muscles. “Nothing,” she hissed irritably. The past was an open wound far worse than her arm and any poke was likely to get a bad reaction. baby_gwing so sorry for the wait and this horrendous reply Q__Q

Picking up a fresh piece of gauze, Amethyst placed it on Aludra's wound before looking up briefly to let his gaze meet hers. Yes. There were parts of her fuku as a Corrupted Senshi that resembled that of the Chibi Senshi whom he ran into five years ago if he looked closely enough now. Though it pleased him to know that she was still alive and well, he couldn't help but notice as part of his overall assessment of her as his patient the damage the corruption had presumably done to her young mind not withstanding the wiping of part, if not all, of her memories.
"Yes. We were friends five years ago when you started out as a Chibi Senshi." He baited, deliberately leaving it as that unless the Corrupted Eternal Senshi expressed interest in learning more about her past encounter with him. The irate hiss she made did not go unnoticed by him however. He could only hazard a guess that it was probably brought on by his last question since he hadn't so much as touched her wound since placing the gauze over it. "I see." He paused for a moment to contemplate how best he should broach this, finally deciding that he would work on gaining her trust and favour for the time being until she was eventually comfortable with confiding in him.
"I'm glad that you made the choice to join us. How have you been all this while?"

"Oh."
Aludra took another look at him, this time armed with knowledge and searching, despite herself, for some form of remembrance. Nothing but the nice little spark she got by being with him. She looked away, staring at nothing."That person is dead."
The Corrupt closed her eyes. "I didn’t choose,"” her tone was merry. "But Persephone saved me. I like it like this." Except for the screaming in the back of her mind, the sobbing little girl who maybe wasn't quite so dead and liked to remind her of it now and then.

"Not dead. Reborn. Into something better." Amethyst corrected, his attention focused entirely on the cleansed wound after picking up the slightly stained gauze and tossing it into the bin. The bleeding had mostly stopped by now but it was deep enough to require stitches to facilitate wound healing.
"Something happened then." He let his gaze meet Aludra's briefly then went back to the procedure trolley to prepare what he needed. "So which branch are you with at the moment?" The Corrupt Eternal didn't seem like the kind to talk even if he tried to probe so he decided to leave things as that. She would talk eventually but it would have to be at her own time and choosing and highly dependent on her mood if he was reading things right.
