Uprising began to play, the titantron showing famous scenes from war movies. Four white, flashing lights were the only visibility in the arena. At the end of the clip, the words "PREPARE FOR WAR" displayed on the massive screen.
Out walked the God of War, Ares, accompanied by a young woman who had a familiar look about her. She pushed dyed black hair out of her eyes as the pair of newcomers walked down the ramp, headed into an Evo ring for the first time. The girl called for a microphone, provided to her by E:E's ring announcer."Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Fate Leonhart, daughter of the Lioness, Savannah Leonhart, and heiress to the Leonhart family. Tonight I come to you to bring you a man in possession of truly rare gifts. This man is the most complete athlete the world has to offer. He is stronger, faster, more technically skilled than anyone under WWE:E contract. Look upon the new face of battle. Tonight, for the very first time, I am proud to present to you the God of War, Ares!" The former Marine flexed in the ring, looking menacingly at the camera. At six feet, five inches and 265 pounds, he was the prototypical wrestler. Ares' shaved head, five o'clock shadow and multiple tattoos added to the intimidating presence of the God of War. Clearly visible to the camera was an eagle tattooed onto his left shoulder. The camera cut back to Fate as she continued to speak. "Being that Ares' opponent for tonight has decided to make things personal between himself and my client, we have come to the conclusion that it is only fitting we raise the stakes ourselves. Our opponent wants violence, and we're all right with that. We're comfortable with it. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that tips the scales in our favor. Allow me to quote from the Art of War.
'It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a single battle.'
I think that it's fair to say after witnessing your actions earlier tonight, we know you, Salem Croft. We know exactly what kind of a man we're dealing with, and we invite you, no, encourage you to come before us in battle! There is no enemy that Ares is not prepared for. There is no form of warfare that surprises him. If you're really ready to stand face to face with the face of battle, then we accept your challenge!" Ares took the mic out of Fate's hand, the crowd noise making it difficult for the man to get a word in. "We accept, on one condition. You've pushed this match past mere competition. You disrespect the God of War and it will come back to you, I promise you that. This will be a hardcore match. No rules, regulations, competitive bylaws. You came to this arena tonight seeking the glory of battle, Croft, and I will grant it to you."

There was a pause for a moment before Salem's music started to play over the PA system, the playful plunk of a guitar heralding the video package compiled for the M.W. Deuce as he stepped out onto the stage with the beginning of the vocals. "Head down on a pillow of concrete, I won't rest in peace either way... And I won't be forgiven, and I will never give in... I'll give you somethin' if you wanna believe! Won't ever belong, just wanna be free..."The catchy acoustic rendition of 'Wanted Man' by Rev Theory continued playing as Salem strolled out from behind the curtain, dressed to kill in his black jeans and wrapped forearms, a shirt on his chest that showed a picture of Salem with his trademark two cents covering the man's eyes. The smile on his face depicted on the shirt was similar to the one he wore on his way to the ring, despite the jeers and boos that were starting to grow around the arena. However, Salem was bringing with him to the ring a weapon of sorts, at least it looked to be by the pump-action design and shotgun-like modeling that his t-shirt cannon possessed.
Firing off rounds left and right into the crowd, Croft cackled with laughter and energy as he strutted out towards the ring steps, the crowd responding more so than they had for his rookie opponent this evening. Taking an offered microphone from the timekeeper as he started up the steel stairs, Salem smirked and looked over at Ares from outside on the apron, not trying to hide the pleasure he'd taken from having burned the newbie's locker up before he'd even arrived. With a cut of his mic hand across his throat, the music abruptly stopped as Salem ducked into the ring from under the top rope and stood opposite the 'God of War' and his female counterpart.
"Heh. So, you decide to come out here and get back at me by asking for an extreme rules match? Hashtag el-oh-el. That's like challenging Ali to boxing, or Jordan to a slam-dunk contest. I'm more than willing to do to you what I did to your precious locker, Ares. So, you wanna get dirty? Fine by me...call me 'Kratos Croft', ******** that, Salem swiftly dropped the mic and raised his t-shirt gun, looking to fire off a fast round at the face of Ares' female companion! If he were successful, the "Most Wanted Man in Wrestling" would quickly pump the handle, hoping to get another round off on Ares before the big man came charging forward in retaliation!

The God of War was familiar with many weapons, but this...T-shirt gun...was not an implement of battle which he'd ever encountered previously. The shirts landed flush in the faces of Ares and Fate, the big guy more surprised than anything by the "attack". If Salem wanted to make the first move, surely this would be a good time...

Salem charged across the ring just as the referee was signalling for the bell. He was looking to capitalize on the preemptive attack that had momentarily blinded Ares and Fate, having used the concussive power of shirts to get an early advantage in the match. Holding his shirt shotgun in two hands, he'd first try to shove the woman over the top rope and off the apron with the weapon before turning his sights to the "God of War" with a gut shot with the gun's butt-end!

As Fate was shouting something that the censors weren't allowing to go to air, Salem pushed her over the top rope and onto the thin mats outside the ring. Wasting little time, the Most Wanted Man in Wrestling smashed Ares in the stomach like an Occupy Wall Street protester. Is that joke still even relevant? In any event, the momentum clearly lay with Salem Croft early on in this matchup.

His escort cleared from the ring, Ares was left alone with Salem as the M.W. Deuce took a shot at the rookie's gut, doubling him over in the process. This was going to be a fight, one that would surely leave someone bloody before the night was through. Hooking an arm around Ares' neck, Salem tried to initiate a standing guillotine so he could throw some dirty boxing into the mix, looking to land some uppercut punches with his other hand into Ares' face!

Now this was a martial art with which Ares was familiar. From Salem's clinch, the God of War attempted to throw hammerfists at his opponent's kidneys. He was eating uppercuts, but Ares was determined to give it at least as good as he was getting it.

Salem cringed, each one of Ares' fists finding their mark as the two men traded blows, clinging to each other to cause as much pain as possible before one backed down. His grip slipping on the self-proclaimed 'God', Salem's hand came free from Ares' neck, leaving him little means to hold on considering his opponent was bald. Stepping back a couple paces, Salem didn't waste time before trying to advance once more with a firm kick to the side of Ares' crouched head!

The kick connected, but Ares didn't hit the mat. He remained in the same position for a second or two, as though he was trying to absorb the pain in some way. Upon recovering, he attempted to utilize his amateur background and shot for a takedown on Salem!

Salem had wounded his prey, but Ares wasn't giving up an inch, still standing even after being punched and kicked in the face. In fact, the "God of War" looked to go on the attack, even, shooting forward for a double-leg takedown intending to ground the "Most Wanted Man in Wrestling" to the mat. Utilizing his speed, Salem tried spreading his legs and sprawling them back, hoping to thwart the takedown by using his hips to prevent his opponent getting any further leverage. But Ares had size and strength on his side, managing to slide Salem on his heels clear back to the ropes behind him, pinning "The Deuce" between the determined demigod and the cables!

Now that Ares had a positional advantage, he intended to use it fully. The God of War began raining punches down upon the head of Salem Croft, hoping that some of the wild strikes would connect. Accuracy through volume worked well enough as a motto for military machine gunners; it was good enough for Ares, too.

Salem was stuck, forced to suffer through a flurry of pistol-grip punches from the rookie who was using his size and strength to maintain an edge over the more seasoned King of the Ring. Still, experience didn't lessen any pain, and if not for the ropes behind him Salem would likely have fallen down after the third or fourth strike from the hammer-like fists of Ares. Trying to cover up with his forearms, Croft looked to weather the storm, grimacing from behind his fists while he tried to defend himself.

Ares saw the opening and went in for a front waistlock on the groggy Salem. Looking to the crowd and giving a loud, primal yell, the God of War attempted a belly-to-belly suplex.

Though there was no love spared for either of the two men in the ring, the crowd popped at Ares' show of strength against the despised Salem, who was tossed across the canvas with the belly-to-belly suplex! Blocking the strikes had left Croft open to the technical maneuver, something he surely regretted as his spine bounced against the mat, "The Deuce" stumbling back to his feet from the forward momentum to shuffle towards the opposite ropes. Leaning against the top rope with one hand, Salem used his other to brace his lower back, straining to stand up straight after the impact.
