Another week, another exchange of information.

Silas waited at yet another meeting point, hands in the pockets of his cloak. The person he was supposed to pass his newest details on to was late, which he did not take as a good sign. He idly paced back and forth for a minute or so, then stood and kicked at the ground. The absence of the designated collector made him nervous, and being nervous made him a bit fidgety. Soon, however, he became aware that he didn't come to the exchange point alone. There was another informant here. Smiling, he walked to stand beside Delilah, and casually tried to strike up a conversation as though nothing was weird about this situation at all. "So... what have you got for them, huh? Just wondering."

Delilah had been standing idly by for the past few minutes, her eyes shifting up and down the area for signs of life. Late was never a good thing but it had been no where near long enough to make her panic. That would come if she was standing there an hour. Then she would make a break for it and most likely not return to that point for fear it was compromised.

What she found different was the man who walked up next to her. Of course he had seemed as board and frustrated as she was but this was the first time anyone had tried talking to pass the time. At least to hear.

"I don't know. Depends on who is asking." Delilah responded back with a half smile as she eyed him. "Could be something fun, could be something normal. Yourself?"

"Oh, I've got a little bit of everything," Silas said, adjusting his hands in his pockets again. "New policies, some new awakenings and recruitments, whispers of purifications and corruptions... you hear a lot of things in a classroom. Most of it is just silly gossip or girls debating which General-King is the 'hawtest,' though. Last I checked, good old Mayor Kenisite was in the lead, though I remember some talk about 'The Hat' and a certain TV personality as well." He finally took his right hand out of his pocket and extended it to Delilah in greeting. "I'm Silas Bright. I teach at Meadowview High School. And you?"

The look Delilah gave him as the word 'hawt' escaped his lips had to be priceless. She could not believe a grown man would say such a thing, not to mention, it was rather hysterical.

"Delilah White. Personal Assistant to which ever business man needs me next. The past few years have made climbing the ranks interesting." She added with a smile and shook his hand. "Might I suggest you not go around saying 'hawt'? I think you lose points on your own ranking amongst the students." Her smile was spreading as she attempted not to bust out laughing.

"You know, maybe you should tell our contacts that they just need to throw acid on the mayor's face. Then he will lose favor with the women."

"Nice to meet you, Delilah. I'm sure that, being in business, you hear a lot about where the money's really going to." Silas was about to be serious, but then the look on Delilah's face made him grin and chuckle. "Oh, come on, that's just what they sound like when they talk about those guys! No, wait, it's kind of more like... 'Ohhhh my gaaaaaahhhhd, he's so hahhhhht. I, like, want to wear his haaaaaat.'" Despite himself, his silly impression made him laugh harder. Some high school girls really did talk like that, and by itself it amused Silas to some degree.

"Pff. Well, good luck getting to him to do that. He's practically swimming in powerful guards wherever he goes. Imagine if someone tried to start something in that public service conference they had the other day. There were so many General-Kings and Queens there, that person would have been vaporized." Silas rubbed the back of his head. Perish the thought of such a one-sided bloodbath occurring. "Anyway, even if the mayor got his face melted off, I'm sure he'd still appeal to people. He's packing personality and charisma in spades. His speeches are... actually understandable and interesting." He hoped that didn't indicate he was falling under the Mayor's sway, too.

It was all Delilah could do not to fall on the ground laughing at his impression of the teenage girls. One hand over her mouth, she was having a hard time breathing until he finally stopped . "After watching you go through that, you make me question my years as a high schooler. Lord, was I that bad?" Delilah asked playfully as she looked towards the side, a little embarrassed and full of dread. "I am suddenly very glad I am no longer that age. I could not imaging going around fantasizing about the mayor."

Her smile started to fade a bit as Silas mentioned the good traits of the mayor. "And he knows how to word things so believe find no fault in them. He's a skilled on alright. That's most likely why people answer to him..."

Her voice trailed off for a moment. "I completely understand why people admiring him in public. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't had to do much action since coming into office. What with all the others around and their twisted ways. Heaven help me if I end up in a dark alley with the scientist woman.

Silas just laughed, feeding off of Delilah's attempt to restrain her amusement. "Don't worry. We were all that bad once. I used to be totally gaga over all kinds of hot celebrities when I was in high school. And believe it or not, guys gossip just as much as girls do." He nodded at her following points. "That's right. He's either a genius at moving people or he's got some damn good writers working for him. And that makes sense. He could just stand around looking pretty and all the others will just do the damage for him. I haven't heard much about Sakuradite recently, but what I have heard... yikes. So much for ethics codes." Of course, a General-King could probably hire any and however many writers he wanted. And Sakuradite could do as she pleased. There was nothing stopping them at this moment.

"What have you heard? I haven't been able to get much in that area. More seems to be easier in the front of finding out what the so called 'protectors of the peace' are doing." Delilah sighed as she glanced back down the pathway.

"Remember how short a time ago it was when life wasn't like this? No 'hawt' mayor running around turning everyone int doe-eyed followers. No made scientist. No Gestapo like police running around." She gazed back at Silas, a dreamy like look to her eyes. "How did we fall so far as to be hiding in the back allies praying that we can trust one another?"

"I haven't heard anything explictly mentioned. Just little whispers... things like testing pain tolerance and the effects of chaos energy on people's minds. Neither of them sound particularly pleasant."

When Delilah mentioned the past, Silas's whole demeanor seemed to change, to harden somehow. "Heh... five years isn't a long time, but it's not a short time, either. It feels like it's been this way forever, doesn't it? It feels so weird to remember that there was a time when things were sort of normal. When I had two sisters..." He scratched his nose. These memories were always troublesome for him, and he hated dwelling on them.

It wasn't hard for Delilah to see the change in the man. He, much like everyone else, had suffered great loss through the years. While Delilah had done her best to push it aside, she knew others were not as lucky.

Closing the distance between the two, Delilah reached up a gentle hand and placed it on his arm. "I'm sorry to bring up old memories but I promise they are glad you still fight on." Squeezing his arm lightly, Delilah stepped back. "It is the children who know little difference that worry me. What with how the school systems have been affected."

When Delilah put her hand on Silas's shoulder, he watched her and nodded. "Mm... yeah, they would be. My older sister was a Sponsor for the resistance. She was ambushed and killed by the Negaverse two years ago. My little sister... I don't know if she was a Senshi or a Knight, but she disappeared three years ago. Unless someone knew something about Alia and I and captured her to get at us, she had to have been one of those." The thought of his younger sister as another poor, hapless Order senshi stomped out by the Negaverse made him shake his head, as though he were trying to shake the thought out.

"Yeah, tell me about it," Silas said in response to Delilah's worry. "I'm only allowed to teach specific, Negaverse-regulated curriculums, which are basically the same as a normal curriculum but with the history section all jumbled up. I hate spoon-feeding my students Negaverse propaganda, but... it's what I have to do. For now, anyway."
