Subra didn't often talk to anyone outside of the Resistance, but occasionally...well, occasionally, she did. And one such person, she wanted to talk to out of curiosity. And a little worry (a worry that never quite faded, in all truth). She put out a message through proper, secure channels (one could never be too careful, not in this war), seeking to talk with Chariklo. She seemed the best one to approach, in all truth, to talk to about what she was thinking about. The things she observed.
She'd chosen a place that would be easy for both to get to, where being powered wouldn't be so much a danger, and both could get away easily. An abandoned building on the outskirts of the city, where Subra knew several mirrors and more conventional entrances and exits were. She got there early, and waited, simply sitting there. She was there to talk, nothing else.Twilight Jaws I hope this start doesn't fail, otl.

It wasn't often that Chariklo got messages from anyone other than Mintaka, Ida or even Faust. Usually it was pretty standard stuff. She was needed for a mission or to ferry supplies or (on one memorable occasion) to let her know that her son had the sniffles and she'd better get her a** to the camp and give her poor wife a break to sleep. You know, normal stuff.
This was different though. This was a senshi she didn't know. Or, the request was polite enough and came through trusted sources. But you didn't survive in this world by taking things at absolute face value. The requested meeting place seemed decent enough. But still.
She'd stalled long enough. Stepping through the mirror, Chariklo glanced aruond quickly, ready to jump back in if need be. Upon seeing nothing more than a single senshi, she relaxed slightly. Not enough to move far from the mirror, but slightly. It was a start.
"All right. Normally I would be super diplomatic and s**t, but I haven't the time for that today. So, why'd you ask to talk to me?"
That was Chariklo. Right to the point.
