While meeting with a Soquilian face to face for chat and dinner, this idea popped up Quote: If Soquili announced that it'd be happening a year in advanced during a certain month, and as it got closer certain Days would be posted for Park meetups incase people could only go to one and it had a week or two span of happening (where people could do it in groups they're hanging with most etc) (and non-park options posted for those who couldnt afford travel, hotel AND Parks)) would YOU save up to fly/drive/whatever to Central Florida and go to a Soq Meet? There are beaches, zoos, mini golf courses, airboat rides, museums etc in the area, and people could likely join forces for hotel rooms.

Feel free to post comments, ideas, etc here. Once again, not really an OFFICIAL poll but its something that I thought would be interesting to know.

I live up in Canada, but... I'd be interested in something like this. I could probably save up enough (more than, which will be nice) for something like this. It'd be fun to go down to Florida, but, I'd have to watch how much I spend, either way as I've got a bad travel bug and want to go overseas, still. xD

I'd definitely consider it but oh gods if it involves Florida PLEASE NOTHING in the summer.
I have sworn never to go near Florida in the summer ever. Ever. EVER again. @_@ 1 week in July was 1 too many.

For me, unless I'm already making a trip to the area it would be pretty hard. Ideally, I'd love it. Speaking realistically though I don't think I'd be able to make the trip alone and convincing my husband to tag along would be difficult at best. ^^*
Though, with a year to work on him I really should be able to come up with a reason why he'd want to tag along to Florida.

I think, with it being that far advanced, it would be doable. Having a few things planned out for hangout options though, would be really super cool as well. And I bet I could get my fiancé to be on board with it. We like road trips. :3 Heck! Were road tripping to Florida in a month! biggrin
EDIT We should all wear "Hello, my name is" badges with our user names on them! X3

I'd like it if things were well thought out far in advance... Saving money shouldn't be too bad on my end. I'd be more worried about hotel costs and how much it might cost to go into certain things. Also the heat worries me > > I agree. Please no summer..I'm paste white and crisp up far too easily lol
Maybe if it was set up kind of like a school function as in..someone researches hotels..someone looks at the nearby attractions to see if there are group discounts or just for regular single person prices etc? xD

Something I mentioned in the main thread~
What if people converse with others to see who is near, meet up at halfway points, and travel together from there. Could be a good idea for a buddy system. :3

Lady Aria Starstone I'd definitely consider it but oh gods if it involves Florida PLEASE NOTHING in the summer. I have sworn never to go near Florida in the summer ever. Ever. EVER again. @_@ 1 week in July was 1 too many. I'm a Floridian and Even I wouldnt do it in the summer. Tonight just standing outside talking in the open night air was brutal enough. I sounded drunk due to dehydration when I called my mom to tell her I was coming home (Not a drop of booze in my system. Just not enough water. I promptly returned to the waterfountain and refilled my bottles before driving off with the AC Cranked)

I live in Northwestern KY and I know Swirly is in decent proximity to me. 3nodding However, the costs would just be a little too steep (for me at least) o no-p 3

Insane Butterfly Something I mentioned in the main thread~ What if people converse with others to see who is near, meet up at halfway points, and travel together from there. We wouldnt want rooms full of a dozen people, but four splitting the costs to a two double bed/ two queen bed sized rooms could likely reduce the costs immensely. ANd looking through travel sights and such, sometimes people can find even better deals than ones that can be got with reservations and group rates using online travel sites, or have deals on their cards or something. Insane Butterfly I think, with it being that far advanced, it would be doable. Having a few things planned out for hangout options though, would be really super cool as well. And I bet I could get my fiancé to be on board with it. We like road trips. :3 Heck! Were road tripping to Florida in a month! smilies/icon_biggrin.gif EDIT We should all wear "Hello, my name is" badges with our user names on them! X3 (PSST: Get a hold of me via PM or something so I can find out where you're going and when and if your within my "Drive by myself" range perhaps we could meet up sometime! I could tell you the local legends and such if you're in my area and point out some additional things you could see. I think I still have a file I wrote up for when people were coming down to visit and if you tell me things you like I could possibly customize it for you if I Know the area you're in) And yeah, the plan if this was ever a thing is that even during park days if it was done there could be a list of places to do and things to see that are just hangout or cheaper alternatives for those who want to go the lower key route can do together. Additionally it'd be fun to have one of the first days being Raiding Goodwills or walmarts for cheap blank tshirts and paints/sharpies and making shirts. ANd I Say shirts as in the "A couple for each cause you might not always get a wash them between parks and they could be themed based on park or action even" "Team Jerseys" based on one of our ponies sort of things XD

If I wasn't on the opposite coast and in Canada I would say this is awesome. Don't see this being in my budget anytime soon, as much as I wish it could be.
