"Don't worry." Mintaka offered the crane to a shadowed figure, outlined only by the intricate military coats of negaverse, "Follow these coordinates, there I will meet you and there I can take you to somewhere that is safe."
She was powered in her eternal form, which was never a good idea but to trust someone to want to be taken away, she had to take the risk that it was not a trap in the first place. The negaverser thanked her, tucking the crane in his pocket and turning swiftly away from the shadows. He was one of few or many that wanted nothing to do with war and was dragged in only because of it.
The origami eternal relaxed as the aura disappeared, only to have a new order one brush against hers. One she knew just as well. Megrez seemed to be on the hunt tonight.

Megrez was indeed on the hunt tonight. She had no particular mission tonight; she just wanted to scout the outskirts for any stray Negaverse agents to pick off, steer towards purification, or drag back to Avalon for Shadow work. She felt a low-level Chaos aura nearby that soon blipped out of existence, but more importantly, there was a strong Order aura nearby as well. Had someone killed a lieutenant? When she saw who the Order aura belonged to, that theory went out the window. "Mintaka." She came closer to the other senshi, trying to sense any indication of where that Chaos aura had gone. "There was a Chaos aura here not too long ago. Did you do something about it?" Her voice was flat and serious. Mintaka was a nice girl and all (always had been), but Megrez didn't trust her to "do things" about Chaos auras.

Mintaka wasn't surprised by the sudden appearance, as order senshi tended to seek each other out and moniter each other as well as moniter Chaos. It was something Mintaka accepted long ago. She was guilty of it herself after all.
She laced her hands together, cocking her head at the eternal egg senshi.
"I don't know what you mean Megrez, it's a pleasure to see you again." She said carefully, "I haven't felt a chaos aura though, are you sure you aren't mistaken?" Unlike Mintaka, Megrez was a little more violate. And unlike Mintaka, the origami senshi knew Megrez would dispatch the negaverser in a way that was quite drastically from her own.
"I escorted a civilian out of the town." She did at least offer, "Which is what I was doing before you came."

"Is that so? By my reckoning, you were right next to that Chaos aura. Perhaps, in the end, the person you escorted was a civilian, but they were most certainly a Negaverse agent before that." Megrez adjusted her stance slightly, her boots making light scraping noises against the dirt. "I'm being led to conclude that you led a Negaverse agent out of the city and into this area, the forest surrounded the Order Headquarters. I hope you realize the danger this may cause, even if that agent was only a lieutenant." Even if the agent was only a lieutenant, they could slip into the Order Headquarters and bring all manner of information back to the Negaverse. As Megrez saw it, Mintaka had just created a liability for Order.

Mintaka's smile didn't falter, though she felt the quick flash of temper rising. She had to remind herself that she wasn't her younger self, that she wasn't a hot headed teenager, but the cold but caring lady. Megrez was so order aligned, it almost hurt. She wondered if she could reason with the Egg senshi, though something told her she probably wouldn't
Ah well, wouldn't hurt her much to try.
"You've found me out!" Mintaka shrugged, "I was escorting a negaverse lieutenant out of the city as they requested so that they could go a safe place where they would not be tortured for not following every new rule the general king and queens come up with." She crossed her arms, keeping her tone light.
"They aren't headed to any part of the Order HQ but to a personal location outside of either jurisdiction." She cocked her head, "The agent merely wanted peace, what's wrong with that?"

"Of course I found you out. You didn't really have much evidence in your favor in the first place." Really, when you had someone who was nearly right there and felt the Chaos aura, it was hard to deny eyewitness testimony. "Not tortured for not following rules? If they're having that much difficulty with the Negaverse rules, why don't you present them for purification? Unless they're still clinging to chaos somewhere, of course." Megrez folded her arms and kicked at the ground some more. "A personal location... if they don't find a place that will actually protect them, they will be found by the Negaverse and killed or taken back for questioning no matter what. While I do suppose they couldn't just waltz up to HQ, they could if they were under supervision." Megrez wasn't fully placated, but she was juuuuust a bit. Perhaps this errant Negaverse agent could be a candidate for purification, and any extra knight would help.

"It's not me who doesn't have evidence, it's you." Mintaka pointed her finger at Megrez and snorted, "Based of aura's? I could've lied, which is something a lady doesn't do often and you'd still be sitting her wondering about it." Mintaka raised an eyebrow. "It's more of inconvenience to have you hounding me, when we could both be doing something better with out time."
Mintaka frowned, "Because Purification changes the idenitiy of the person. They don't look their original selves, they have to give up their whole family and friends because they were born on a side they don't agree with? Are you naive? The world is not black and white. It's not Chaos and Order." Mintaka could feel her anger rising, "If you disregarded Order, and corrupted, would you be satisfied leaving every memory you had? It's nonsense. A absolutely ridiculous practice."
She fussed with her fuku as a way of not turning the anger all over Megrez, what did the girl know anyways? Had she talked to anyone besides order?
"I'm not escorting them to anywhere but where I already have." Mintaka's chin raised. "They are not another pawn in this little chess match."

"Fine, so it's hard to physically prove the presence of an aura. So what?" Megrez wrinkled her nose; sometimes Mintaka's babbling about being a "lady" could get a little cloying. "Many people are willing to leave everything behind when they corrupt, or are forced to do so when a General shoves their hand in their chest and says the word. And some people are indeed willing to leave everything behind to purify and free themselves from Chaos. That renders the point moot." She might have missed the point a bit, but what had been said was already out. Then Megrez came up with an idea that might appeal to Mintaka's sensibilities a bit more. "Look, there's something you need to understand. The person you just led out of the city might be in grave danger if there's no one to protect them. Some nosy Negaverse higher-up might make a sweep of a neighborhood, find a lieutenant missing, and then next thing you know, they're out hunting that person. How do you know that where they're headed is safe?"

"They shouldn't have to, is what I am saying. Thats black and white with no room for gray." Clearly Mintaka thought Megrez looked at this like a small child. A small child whose parents made it very clear that she was only allowed certain friends and toys to keep that mindset. She had no doubt that Order would jump purifications so quick. Hence the word Purification, like the priest of religion. High and mighty with the word of some holy figure to back their claims.
She hated that point of view, how biased and primal it was.
"No, there's something YOU need to understand." Mintaka crossed her arms, her tone chilling. "The location they are at, is not only safe but welcoming. I trust the person running it more then I would you, or the white moon queen or any other person in this world-" that person being herself, "-And the game you are playing is old Megrez, why don't you grow up and find a new one?" Sami-Fire Omg I am so sorry she's mean.

"If the 'gray' hurts us, we need to do something about it," Megrez said, becoming increasingly exasperated. "Fine! If you're so sure, you just wait and see what happens. I wash my hands of it. It's on you now." She hoped that Mintaka would eventually receive some consequence for her actions. If she was so sure the location was safe, then it would be her responsibility. The little bite at the end was completely uncalled for, however, and Megrez reacted accordingly. "Excuse me?! Who are you to tell me my 'game' is old? The rules of this war aren't going to get old till the war's done in one direction or another. There is no finding a new one until something drastic happens."

"Everyone hurts everyone." Mintaka breathed out, "EVERYONE IS GETTING HURT. Stop thinking that it's everyone against you, everyone against order. If'd you'd open your eyes, you could help so many people." Mintaka's hands shook. Why couldn't people see like she did, why was there always just...
"I've always taken the consequences and credit for what I do." her chin tilted up, "I'm a lone senshi after all." It was hard to admit that in the end, she had never been close to another senshi. The DMC's and the Negaverse had been more then willing to work with her, but other white court? No.
"Your game is old and you aren't winning. How does that make you feel?" Mintaka's chin rose even higher, "You...aren't...winning. The negaverse is, and the sooner you realize that whatever you are doing is pointless, is the time you learn that there is more options out there to try. Unless you want to Kamikaze your way out of war." She jumped a bit back. "There is no peace until we start thinking of how to make it, instead of how to one up each other."

"Everyone is getting hurt." Megrez repeated the words, if only to see how they felt on her tongue. There was a ring of truth to Mintaka's words, and the stubborn walls in Megrez's mind were starting to crumble. It hurt to admit that things were going wrong. "Yes... everyone is. But the way things are, we have to take care of our own." Then Mintaka said something that fired Megrez up all over again. "Pointless?! Look, the Negaverse won't hesitate to pick us off. We need to whittle away at the tides as much as we can. Surrendering is pointless. Doing nothing is pointless. Are you giving up? The second you give up, the Negaverse truly wins." Megrez swore she wouldn't give up, even with the cracking walls in her heart.

Mintaka saw the thought pass through Megrez's eyes.
She pulled back all her anger, all the quiet rage from boiling over to see that maybe she was pushing too fast, too hard. Even if she wanted too. She wanted Megrez to see. To know. To hear and believe.
"It's pointless when we end up dead and the only reason was because we couldn't come to terms with each other." Mintaka folded her hands, "When you die, do you want to be known as a terrorist, proving their point? It's fine to want to protect your own, but don't use it as an excuse to fight everyone. The more allies you have, the better you can protect something-" She sighed.
"I'm not fighting them." She said, "I will not fight. I've given up that a long time ago. I will however, do my best to take people away, to free them. To let them in a life where they don't want to anymore." She gnawed at her lip, "No...no I haven't stopped fighting, I'm just not fighting them. I fight fore freedom for everyone. No matter who they are, and they fight for it too." She didn't know anymore.

"How noble," Megrez said with a sigh. "Tell me, have you had much success in those goals? Have you been able to come to terms with the Negaverse? If it were as simple as coming to terms with each other, and those terms didn't involve our utter decimation and submission, this war would have been over long ago." She was starting to feel tired of arguing. They clearly wouldn't see eye-to-eye, and if this kept on, they'd just keep demoralizing each other... or at least, Megrez would feel demoralized. Mintaka's method didn't seem to work, but did her methods work, either? No, I can't give up. The second I give up, the Negaverse claims another victim.

"It's working more then you would think." Mintaka looked away, "But I'm tired, and there is no point in getting through to someone who thinks death is the answer to all."
She jumped away, "Hope your ideals don't get you in a world of pain Megrez. Remember, more allies then enemies makes a happier person."
and with that the origami senshi disappeared back into the city.
