Hello, everyone! As the pride has become such a massive one (something upwards of 450+ members), I am interesting in possibly adding in a couple new ranks (max of 3) to bring in a bit more possibilities for roleplays.
I am interested in hearing what you guys have to say! When suggesting a rank, you can also include what their jobs would be, what type of rp it may inspire...whatever you think might work! If you really like someone else's idea, just quote it with a +1.
This does mean I will adjust the rank system a bit in Pridelands, but hopefully to make it easier for everyone. <3 If you have any questions, just ask. This will be open for a bit, as the IC changes wouldn't be applied until Tau takes the throne (which isn't that terribly far off!).

I saw the announcement for this, and thought of one rank that the Pridelands may REALLY want... Between the number of members and their neighbors xd
Healer/Medic - Patch up injured pride members
With so many lions in the pride(Nevermind all the hybrids and other non-lions), and hyenas they're not on friendly terms with right next door, it'd make sense that the pride would need some healers or medics(Whichever term you'd want to go with) to tend to the injured, especially after a big fight.

I was planning on asking you about plots when my little lady gets the Adol in 3 months time. -Nondo'Vuta
I have her down as a warrior-type who is protective of her very forgetful mother, and who has certain concerns about the pride defensive strategies despite it's size as she grows to learn about the past war.
I was planning to ask you if she could approach a member of the council or Simi about such a thing with the outcome being:
No = She goes to the SB potentially, hates it, and then comes back home a meeker lady.
Yes = She starts and possibly leads an unofficial (or however official you'd like it to be) segment or group of lions that would practice sparring and defense strategies. This would obviously be a "fighting is a last-resort" and defense only kinda thing due to the nature of the pride, and would be more sensitive and encompassing of the general pride than a military unit. Their intention would not be to create fear and thus it would be quite casual. Perhaps occasional reports to council/royalty from the head or something?
I can't think of a title for it, but kinda like a Dumbledores Army within the pride... except not secret? There's a few lions who are good fighters in their personality and also a TONNE that love the Pridelands and want to protect it.
So in essence, a small group of lions who train as the first line of defense in real absolute war- but not really an army, they would think about strategy and just make sure that the pride is topped up with fit and able lions should anything happen in the future.

Seeing as we have had a few exchanges of hand - why not some kind of Lorekeeper? I know we have nannies and the like, but I think a few lions who are old enough (or annoying enough) to get the whole history of the pride out of it, and can retell it would be crucial u Du/

Peacekeeper? On to my own ideas yo. An Artisan role would be neat. I have a lot of artisan/crafter/etc characters and I know a few lions in the pride kinda do it on the side of their certed job. Idk, my head's kinda slow rn :c

I TOTALLY THOUGHT I POSTED ABOUT THIS ALREADY, I know we definitely talked about it. I suck, I'm sorry.
Messengers.
Members specifically dedicated to carrying messages to/from other members of the pride, so you don't always have to go searching through the vast sea of lions to find the one particular lion you have a message for. Especially useful for busy/important lions (like the King) but generally.. y'know. xD
<___< and yes, I totally want my crazy hare lady to run a post office, sending hares all over the pride to deliver messages for other people.

+1 It also might be of help to the Pridelands, being to big, to acquire some form of Diplomat role. Lions and familiars whom go out and maintain agreements betwen prides, such as any arranged marriages or the like. Their roles might also include offering the Pridelands' help (Example if a pride needed shelter a day or two, or if they need a royal blood to wed to an heir, ETC), they may address passing rogues seeking a home and help them, and it's also possible they help Pridelanders address fears or concerns with other prides. For example if a lion is afraid of a pride taking over, or a lion from a pride seems scary because their culture demands they act a certain way, a well educated diplomat can explain whys and hows, to a point. They can also moonlight as mediators in-pride to practice if there's no place to go!

Anyway, I was working on this last night and we will be getting more than three new ranks. Lots more, in fact. Most of it is all planned out, so keep your eyes peeled for an ORP/announcement soon!
