Who: Odette, Evesi, and Sueno
Where: Sue's Farm, Serenia
When: Evening
Weather: Cool, light breeze foreshadows an even cooler night.
~~~~~ The sun was just about to set as a light breeze blew through the Valley of Andrah. The two Orderites made their way towards anything or anyone they could. Their home had been destroyed by the Mara invasion and all they had left was each other. Evesi, the older of the two girls, was falling behind as the two walked.
"Ettie, can we please take a break. I'm exhausted, hungry, and just need to sit down. Plus, it's getting dark and we need to sleep." the soft voice of the blonde hair, blue eye'd angel whimpered as she stopped in her tracks.
The pink haired Orderite stopped and spun around with narrowed eyes. "No Evesi; we have to keep going. I'm hungry too. We need to first find something to eat." the determined youngster stated in response. Sometimes Odette felt like the older, much more capable Orderite when it came to Evesi.
Evesi was normally great, motherly, and a powerful mage already, even in her young age. But when she was hungry, tired, or otherwise distraught, she reverted back to her five year old self again. Consistently nagging, complaining or whining, and even sometimes threw a tantrum now and again.
Growing up in the Coven where they were from, not a lot was known from the outside world at all. This was one of the first times they were on their own outside of the Coven, as there were almost always people with them unless they snuck out for an hour or so, like they had done as the village was overrun by Mara less than 24 hours prior.
As Odette kept walking, Evesi dragged her feet in despair. Heavy sighs could be heard from the girl as she made her way down the path as slow as ever.
Suddenly, in the distance, Odette saw a small light. As the girls approached, it turned out to be a small farmstead. "Look Eve! I knew if we kept going we would find something! There's bound to be food over there!" Odette stated, finding the adrenaline to fuel her run towards the farm, leaving Evesi (who was having a VERY hard time keeping up), behind.
Odette approached a fence, which she quickly flew up and over (thank Seren for wings, right?), and found herself upon a garden with tons of green, fresh foods that the two could share. Having been kept from the outside world much of their lives, the two never had worries of being called "thieves", as everyone within the Coven was able to take as they pleased. Because of this train of thought, Odette bent down to pull up many fresh herbs and vegetables. She used her shirt as a makeshift bucket and piled on herb after herb, veggie after veggie into it. This was the place to make camp and stay the night. Perfect. Though she did know that Outsiders couldn't be trusted (as the Coven called them) and she kept that in mind the entire time just in case they did meet with one.

Faexa Videe is Vlidean! He's mean. Sueno was out in the barn getting her animals to settle down for the night when she heard Videe screech his battle cry. She gasped and dashed outside, worried about what he was attacking. That was his angry intruder cry, and he was diving which meant it was a person. Her eyes spotted a figure in her garden. HER garden. Stealing her hard work! Ruthlessly taking her plants! How dare it! She growled and concentrated, glad she'd gotten those tomes as gifts as her light magic entered the plants of her garden and caused them to lash out, vines crawling out to ensnare what ever was invading her garden. "Who are you and what are you doing tearing up my garden?!" She asked as she stomped over to where Videe still dove at the figure in the garden.

Not too long into the gathering of herbs and plants did a large bird-like creature start screeching and flying overhead. Then, a girl not much older than herself, she assumed, came out of the barn next to the garden.
Next thing she knew, she was wrapped in vines and being questioned. "Let me go! What the hell is this!?" she screamed, wriggling around and trying to free herself, although it only tangled and tightened it's grip on her in the end.
Evesi took a moment, but had finally caught up and took control of the situation by trying to plead with the girl. "We are so sorry, miss. My friend and I are starving. Our village was attacked by Mara and we got away. We didn't know that you would be mad about us taking some food." she said in a kind, soft voice as her heart rate increased heavily.
Odette on the other hand kept trying to get away. "How do we even know that this is your garden? And why does it matter if we take something any-" she began, only to be cut off by the cooler-headed Orderite.
"What she means to say is, we are so very sorry. If you will be so kind as to let us go, we will be on our way."
"That's not what I meant at all, b***h! Don't speak for me! And the hell we will! She's got all this food! UGH! Let me out of this mess right now!" Odette demanded angrily.
Evesi could do nothing but place a hand on her forehead and shake her head in disappointment. One thing Odette did need to learn was how to control her anger. When she wanted something, she would stop at nothing to get it.

Faexa Sorry for the long wait and that it's a small tag! Trying to get muse to work but... not really happening. Sueno's about 15 right now. She's still waiting on her growth art which is why she's so young XD And I forgot her accent it he last post.. oh well xD Sueno gave a sniff at the rude girls words. How barbaric! "It's my food. Ah grew it. Fer my family to eat.... And in case ye hadn't noticed, that's a house right there... That means that anything next to it belongs to the house." She had been going to call off Videe... but then the girl had to open up her mouth. She left Videe to his screeching and diving. The sound was alerting her family anyways, so she knew her father'd be out in a second to check up on what was happening. "Apparently ye don't have any manners. Ye could just knock on the door and ask fer food! Ah dinna like thieves....."

Odette decided it was best to not say another word, finally heeding to the warnings of her beloved friend, Evesi.
"Ma'am, we're really sorry for intruding. My friend and I are just starving. We haven't eaten since the Mara took over our home. Please forgive us. If you let her go, we'll be out of your hair as soon as possible, I promise." Evesi stated, a nervous smile appearing on her face.

Faexa Sue is an expert and older... despite the REALLY youthful adept art she's still has XD I should be getting growth art soon since one of the new artists took her on. Apologize on the wait, Sue's muse is so quiet that the others keep shouting her down.... Much as she wanted to kick the thieves out of her garden, she didn't. She wasn't so cruel as to not feed the younger girls since they were looking rather starving and ratty.. and they didn't appear to have much items on them so their tell of the mara fit. I'll give them some food... and a blanket to ward off the night's chill, she thought to herself. Since I don't want to be acting like that thief! She gave a whistle and Videe did one last dive before landing on the porch with a squawk. "Ah'll give ye some food... since one of ye has manners. Got a spare blanket ye can have too Ah guess... And iffn ye promise to behave, Ah'll let ye use the barn fer the night... Though be aware that mah Hasatr Gazini is in there and he won't take well to strangers so avoid his stall."She was not letting them into the house.... not thieves! I'll have Videe and the Fae's out in the gardens, she thought to herself, that way they'll let me know if they try to go through my garden again! "Iffn ye are looking fer a place to stay permanently, there's a town a half walk down that road... though ye may want to muzzle yer friend, rude people don't get the warmest of welcomes." Sh said to Odette. She walked over to the porch to grab an old basket to hold some of the vegetables that were ripe. She did have some to spare, truth be told, but the other's attitude just made her want to hoard it all! Rude thief...
"Da, can ye go get mah spare blanket?" She asked her father who was approaching the door.

Tears of joy began to fill the kind Orderite's eyes as the woman was speaking to her about giving them both food and shelter. "Really!?" Evesi cried out in joy. "Thank you so much, ma'am! This means more to us than you'll know." the kind Orderite said, a grand, genuine smile upon her face.
When the girl was pointing out the road to go down, Evesi paid as much attention as she could to her direction. But as she continued, a huff could be heard from Odette as well as a rolling of her eyes and shake of her head. She kept her mouth shut, though she did say one last thing as the girl left to speak to her father about a blanket. "Can you please let me out of these vines now?" a tense, yet hopeful question to the other Orderite woman.
"Hush. She'll let you out when she's good and ready. And we will definitely be having a chat when we get into the barn." Evesi murmured, eyes glaring at her companion.
Odette knew she was in trouble now. Oftentimes Evesi was the more passive one of the two, but as soon as she began to snap orders, Odette knew Evesi was serious. All the younger Orderite girl could do was turn her face away and wait for the vines to release her.

Sueno took the blanket and placed it over the small basket that held some of the fruit and vegetables as well as a loaf of bread... she was not unkind; she just didn't appreciate thieves or unmannered brats was all! She handed the basket to Evesi and looked at Odette. "Ye behave. Iffn Ah see ye try to steal again, those vines'll have thorns in them next time." She said warningly as she let the vines go. "Barns there. It's warm and dry so dinna worry bout freezing or getting wet iffn it rains tonight." She turned and left to go wake up Mourlor and Miska to get them to guard the barn. They were loud enough she knew she'd wake up when they gave an alarm... especially with Videe's squawking!
