Royal Knight Camelot was sitting in his usual chair at the Headquarters, at a drafting table he had managed to take from the library before it was closed and demolished, replaced by some new 'information center' that the city had thought was definitely a better fit for their new direction. Of course, he knew it was because the place was a known place of activity for knights and senshi, and of course it had been his haunting grounds before the Negaverse took over.
Now it was gone, like many other things.
He did, at least, have this table, and that was a strange, small comfort. He was leaning forward in his chair and writing something down in a notebook that he kept stored there. It was where he wrote down his plans and thoughts, took notes about things he had witnessed and learned, and generally kept all the information he thought he could need, or others might need, just in case. If he filled a notebook, as he had many times over the years, he stored them in his Wonder and started again.
If something happened to him, at least his knowledge would remain. Camelot was accessible through Shalott's wonder, as the two were connected through their shared past.
He was not writing anything particularly profound tonight, recounting his last venture to the city, and what he had learned from others he had spoken to in the last few days. Most of it was run of the mill, at least in the context of their lives now. Who had died, who had been hurt, what the Negaverse was doing in the city. It just felt good to be writing and focused on something like that for a little bit.
It took his mind off other things, at the very least.

That was just what his laptop provided him, a way to focus on other things. it wasn't like his laptop wasn't put to good use, far from it, but there were times he would venture to playing music and other seemingly childish, immature, things. In the face of war such things seemed so childish and pointless but they were relaxing, an escape from the war. He had been to the city recently for a mission, to help provide a distraction with his magic, but otherwise it was rare that he went into the city and yet he knew a lot of what was going on. He didn't need to go into the city in order to make contact with his connections; not when you had a computer and a set of strong skills.
The transcended senshi was able to secure a line of communication with others who remained in the city, keeping his IP address and other information well hidden. it was a game of cat and mouse, which was not unfamiliar to him, that he played over his laptop and took immense pleasure and pride in. So when he came into the meeting like room he barely glanced up from the laptop held in his hands as he was reading over something while playing music at the same time, a little of the distraction and a little of the work.
Nearly tripping over something the eternal senshi was able to catch himself just in time, and save his laptop, as he looked up finally with something of an embarrassed or sheepish look about him. Noting the Royal Knight in the room he nodded his head once in greeting, not wishing to disturb him as he seemed..lost in thought.

Camelot actually jumped when he heard someone trip and almost fall nearby. He looked over at the source, not expecting danger but still on edge since he had been so distracted by his work he had not even sensed the aura approaching him. He blinked for a moment then managed to relax.
"Ah, hello. Are you alright?"
He moved to stand up from his seat, leaving his pencil on the desk with the notebook. He felt a little old school now, seeing the lap top the young man was carrying. That was probably a much better idea, truth be told, as they could handle everything he wrote into all those notebooks and then some. He was not completely technologically challenged, as he was used to using the computers at his work, when it was there, and he had one at home. He also very much liked playing video games on the pink DS he had gotten from the library's lost and found.
"That's a nice looking computer," he said with a small smile. It was harder now to be as honest and warm as he had been before, when his cares were a lot lighter. But he still tried, because he did want to be friendly and welcoming. After all the loss in his life, it was difficult, but he also knew that many others had lost the same way. Worse, as well. He needed to be strong not only for himself and his family, but for them.
"What's got your attention so drawn?"

For a moment he stared, like a deer caught in headlights, but then he managed a small smile as he found himself a seat and nodded his head. "i'm fine..I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking." Nodding to the lap top which he'd just set down. "As you can tell of course." As it had been rather obvious that he was similar to a bookworm with their nose buried into a book.
"Thank you...I managed to get ahold of a new one recently, my old one crapped out about a year ago." Somehow it had gotten wet, caught in a storm, and thus the crap out. He'd had to purchase a new one and smuggle it out into the woods with himself, he wondered how long till he could no longer do such things. he'd heard about a curfew idea and knew that would just make things harder for them all. They'd need to stock up on supplies really, the stuff that lasted a long time and preserved well. Wasn't there a tv show once about that...he was fairly certain there had been, he could always look it up later.
"I'm reading over some information from a source of mine back in the city." Turning his lap top toward the other so he could read it. "Something about the mayor, and them, considering a curfew for people. It'll make things harder for us all, those here and those in the city. We should stock pile things before they actually enact a curfew. Some foods that'll last a long time and more bedding and other things." For more people who might arrive and for when winter came again, blankets and such wouldn't hold forever; they wore out over time.

"Yeah, I've seen kids walking around with their phones constantly glued to their hands, but maybe a full lap top computer is a bit too much to be walking around using." He chuckled at that, shaking his head. He knew that technology today was much different than to when he was a kid, but the basic principles were still the same. His generation had their distractions from the world around them, just the same.
"A source?"
He was interested by that news. Sources could some times be few and far between, and harder to reach directly. Technology and alternate methods of contact, like through the DMC and their mirrors, might become more and more important. Already having established sources that way would make it a little bit easier, at the very least.
"That's good to know. We'll have to start gathering and organizing what we can. I'll put together a small team to go out with soon, perhaps, to get what we can. It won't hurt to be safe, and we can store extra supplies in Camelot. Ah, the Wonder." Obviously. Sharing a name with a place was still sometimes a bit silly.
He looked pensive for a moment, looking at the computer, then at the senshi.
"Do you ever hear about specific members of the Negaverse on that thing? Or... or perhaps about corrupt senshi?"

"Yeah, some people I know who remained in the city. Some are on our side and some not, but they don't know about me either. Those civilian ones think I just fled for safety. The civilian contacts are like me - hackers. The other ones not so much but the lines are secure to them so we're all safe." he managed to keep them safe and did his best to keep them from being discovered, for everyone's safety. "I don't normally come into the camp with my laptop on and dealing with information but it looks like rain." And he didn't want to lose another laptop, he couldn't afford it either.
"Indeed. I can look up various products that are good for storage, like years of storage. Fruits and vegetables will be hard to do...so vitamins or other means of getting what we'll lose would be good." Thinking of the health of people, especially children and those who could power up. His mother had brought him up eating healthy and balanced. It would pay to be eating healthy now more than ever, when they had to fight a war and children shouldn't risk bad healthy when they were still growing.
As the topic shifted, just a bit, he seemed startled but then nodded his head. "I can try...I've heard things about Negaverse members mostly, since they are open about themselves. So perhaps, since the corrupted senshi work with and for them. I can try...anyone you want me to try to find out about speifically?" he asked while looking up at the older male, brushing his dark hair from his green eyes.
"Storing things at Camelot would help a lot, and other knights wonders if we manage to fill up that wonder. The more we can store the better..home worlds also if we need to, to preserve things with cold or something similar." They would have to pull together whatever they could to store things in order to keep them safe and preserved, wonders, planets...here. Could they put planets and wonders to good use for growing things? He knew the topics had changed but now that he was really thinking about this topic it was hard to let go - really hard. It was important. Without food and proper nutrition how could they properly fight a war at their peek? The senshi of will'o' the wisp was marked in glowing blue marks, wisps, across his face and down under the neck of his uniform making him as transcended meaning he could get to his planet with a bit more ease than others and more frequently. He would offer his planet, or whatever he could, as a means to help in this manner.

"As long as you're sure they can't track you," he said, with a nod. He had to trust that others knew what they were doing: he could not be master of all things, and technology was definitely not his forte. This Senshi seemed much more certain about what they were doing, and that was good for both of them. He knew that no White Moon suffering through all this would risk their safety wantonly, and that if he said things were safe, then it was as safe as it could be.
Nothing about their existence was entirely secure, anyway. They took what risks they thought were necessary.
Camelot did not make eye contact when the other asked about who he wanted to look up. He battled with letting the subject drop, not sure he wanted to know what Chaonis was up to. Or what would hurt more: finding out about his son and his new life in the city, or not finding out about it. He shook his head and cleared his mind a bit, taking a deep breath to try and calm himself.
"I... I was wondering about a young senshi that was corrupted a few months ago. His name is Chaonis, he is an Eternal. The Senshi of Danger. His civilian name was... was Nathan Darrow. I don't know what it is now. But he... he was my son."
He knew Chaonis was kept on a very short leash, and the chances of finding anything about him were limited. And not knowing his civilian name, if he even had one at this point, would make it difficult as well. He did not expect the computer hacker to be a wizard, and there was only so much even a powerful tool like the internet could do.
Nodding his head and listening to the rest of the decisions, he agreed that, if they were even accessible, Wonders and Planets would be good to use. He felt more secure in his Earth based wonder, as it was accessible by more than just him, but spreading out their efforts would likely be useful if the war continued as it was. Sometimes he wondered about taking his friends and family to Camelot and building a life there, and never coming back. But that was not something he would ever be able to do. Those thoughts only came on the lowest of nights, when he could not sleep despite being exhausted, and had no hope to hold on to.

Watching the man battle with himself, something about who he wanted looked for must be the cause of such turmoil, he nodded his head slowly when the man spoke. So that was it, it made sense, it was his son. He was sure had he a sibling and they had been corrupted he would war with himself over wanting to know about them. "I haven't heard anything. but I can send word to my contacts and see if any can find anything out. They may not be able to but if they can they will. I won't ask them to risk themselves more than they must." The man would surely understand that. He had to keep his contacts, his friends, safe even whilst getting information from them.
"I hope, for you, that they can find me information. I'll write them tonight and let them get to work on it." not know a civilian name would make things harder but maybe he was one of those who stayed powered up more than they spent time as a civilian? or they were well known? He could hope, for this knights sake, that such was the case.
On a whim he raised a hand and settled it onto the mans shoulder. "If my contacts find anything I will let you know as soon as I get word. I hope, for you, that he is well and I can find out about him. One day the tides will change, they must, and when that happens I hope you both are around to see each other again and he can be saved." Like the pendulum of a clock it had to go back and forth and right now it was one direction...it had to come the other way sooner or later. Hopefully both father and son would make it till then and the son could be saved.
"Until then we all must do our best whilst keeping ourselves alive." In order to protect the civilians here, in the caves, and in the city.

"I would appreciate that, thank you. I know it might be a very difficult task, and if it's too dangerous or difficult you don't have to put much effort into it. I doubt there is anything to learn about him, and asking too many questions can always cost us more than it can gain."
He knew that he had to think about the others. He already had senshi and knights questioning his abilities now that he had a 'weakness' like this to be exploited. The Shadows wanted Chaonis dealt with, one had even offered to do the job for him, and that was just not something Camelot was strong enough yet to stomach.
Smiling thinly, looking sad, he knew that it would be difficult, either way. Whatever was or was not found.
"I appreciate your kind words. I know it's really a small concern, in the scope of things, and I'm not trying to be selfish and focus on my son when others have lost just as much, if not more. Don't go out of your way with this, but I do appreciate the help. It's more than I would be able to do on my own."
He smiled and echoed the other's hand motion, putting his hand on the senshi's shoulder and nodding. He moved off after a moment, taking a breath.
"I'm sorry, what did you say your name was?"

Nodding his head he smiled at the other. for this knight, one who was helping to lead things, he would try and get what information he and his contacts could. A shake of his head and a gentle smile. "I'm sure something can be learned, at least I hope. But I will put whatever effort I can in to it, provided all are safe in their search for information." he wouldn't risk them, he couldn't, but he would put whatever effort he could in to it. He wouldn't slack off on this just because it was personal or a risk. right now the others son was the enemy and so information on him would help in more than one way; at least he thought so.
Giving the others shoulder a squeeze he shook his head again. "Sometimes it's good to take a break and focus on the small things, rather than the weight of the world. It's small to me but not to you and it is there on your mind so it should be addressed in order to also provide information which might help the whole. But almost more so for your personal ease and to give you a break from looking at the big issues." Smaller things could give a break from the big picture which could be daunting, stressing, and just seem hopeless. To gain a little victory possibly, to gain a little information on one important person, could help the whole and help the individual and if he could focus on that for a while it was a break, which was surely needed, from the more stressing big picture.
"Chaldene, though you can also call me Ian. And I'm just putting my talents to good use. It helps us gain information in another manner. Every way we can gain information should be used."

Camelot nodded his head, looking contented with his promise. It was a small sense of relief, at least knowing that he could potentially learn something. For better or worse, the effort was being made and that meant something to him. He would be in debt to this senshi, and he would not forget the favor, even if there was nothing out there for him to learn.
It was not about what information got back to him: it was just that Chaldene was trying to help him. And with something so personal and important to him. Camelot would not let a debt like that go unreturned.
"If you need anything from me, I am at your service," he said, in true knightly fashion. He bowed his head a bit, like a nod that went on a bit too long, as if to make his promise official in some sort of secret knight code. And to him, that was just what he was doing. A small pledge, to help Chaldene whenever he needed it.
Camelot looked at the computer and wondered what else they could use things like that for. It was not his forte, so he did not often think about the more technological methods of getting help. He focused on training and fighting back, as well as gathering supplies like food and water, but there was much more to it than that. And a lot more possible, with the internet involved.
He considered himself impressed, really, because it was just not something he could ever do. Computers were not his enemy, but he could not claim to know how to use one any better than any other man his age, exposed to them later in life rather than as a kid.

To say he was surprised would be an understatement. To have the other all but bowing to him while promising such a thing. To have someone, anyone, in debt to him was a completely new concept. he did what he had did, and had been doing, because he wanted to help people and this was one way that he could help. he could provide information for people and help the resistance and individuals with his computer skills, skills he never thought would be put to use in such a manner. He'd never considered a career in computer anything but maybe after this was all over he might? Some sort of cyber crime unit or something, it would be similar enough to this all - right?
"I can browse normal websites..and media ones. I've been posting in underground sites as well as media ones...trying to stir the pot sort to speak. It's like a game of cat and mouse on the computer. They could, if I slip up, track me to right where I am...so if you ever need me and I'm not at the camp I'm in the woods up a tree. I don't like to risk it, incase they have someone working for them better than me, and I get caught. I don't want to bring them right here to the camp. But if you want me to get any messages out, to the media, or anything else I can try...and see if my friends who hack can if I can't." When he'd left with his mother he'd taken clothing, stuffed a comforter into a large suitcase on wheels, and taken some other things including a certain mask that was still amongst the things he'd fled with. They'd managed to get out of the city before it became so hard to flee - they had gotten out in a car which they'd ditched at a certain point.
He could, if he wanted, slip the mask on and go into the city to protest or something but it was a risk and he didn't think people were much for protesting - for fear of torture and death. He'd never thought, not for a single moment in his life, that he'd live in a place that was so...oppressive. He wasn't sure if he should compare it to Nazi Germany but it almost felt right to do so, at least at times, even though the comparison never passed his lips save the time or two he'd spoken the thought to his mother in private.
"Do you know what your sons uniform looks like? So I can give more information to my contacts?"

"Just be careful. Not just for our sakes, but for your own as well. I don't want you to risk anything, personally, just as much as I would hate for our hideaways to be revealed. I don't want you to be hurt, or captured."
He knew that the Negaverse was very cruel to the captives they took. There was not much by way of choice, either suffering, corrupting, or dying. While he did everything in his power to rescue those that needed it, there was only so much he could do. They lost many, and it seemed like the slope would remain steep as they fought uphill.
In any case, Camelot did not like the idea of someone tracking Chaldene down where ever he happened to be at the time. Getting dragged out of a tree was not the way anyone should go. Camelot would do what he could to protect him, and be there if the other needed help. It was the least he could, not only because of the favor he was being paid, but because that was what he did, as a knight. It was his duty to serve anyone that needed his service, after all.
"I only saw his new outfit for a moment. It was dark, of course. It looked like riot gear, or plastic paint ball armor, like it used to, except it was battered and beaten in appearance. Like it was broken down with the change over to Chaos. He almost immediately cut his hair, I saw that, before he was taken away. He has dark eyes, and brownish hair."

"Of course. I'll be careful." He had been careful, and sucessful in it, thus far. he just hoped he could stay a step, or more, ahead of the other side. He was fairly sure he couldn't handle being captured. The torture he'd heard tales of he knew he wouldn't handle and being corrupted...well that couldn't happen so he'd be tortured and perhaps killed, maybe just kept to be tortured like some toy to be played with whenever the owner was bored. The idea made his stomach knot up as a shudder ran through him. The very idea of it troubled him. No, he couldn't ever allow himself to fall a step behind the other side.
Nodding his head to the others words he made a mental note of the information. He'd be sure to pass it along when he asked his friends if they could find anything for him. It would hopefully help enough that information could be found. "Thank you. I'll pass it along. Hopefully that information helps." Cut his hair though...how long had it been that he'd gone and cut it right there? "C-could I ask...was it forced or did he go along with it? Even if it was a die or corrupt sort of thing...I'm just...curious." There was the old hesitation again and the stumbling over words. he hadn't done that in a while and yet here he went doing it. It was a deeply personal question though. he couldn't help but wonder though. If it was forced maybe he'd want to change back though? Maybe he had it in him to hate the side for forcing his corruption?

Camelot looked down, saddened by the question. He shook his head slowly, taking a breath as memories of that fight flashed through his mind, though he tried to ignore them. It took him a moment before he could muster up a proper answer, though.
"He was taken by force. Chaonis and I were battling a group of Negaverse soldiers, and while I was trying to take care of a couple of them, he was overwhelmed by his opponent. I was not fast enough to help him, or stop what was happening. By the time I got free to move, he was already gone."
Camelot remembered the look Chaonis gave him vividly. The complete lack of recognition. He did not hear them calling for him, and what he did understand from them, he did not care about. They were nothing to him, not that night, and not the few times Camelot had seen Chaonis after. He was just a dog to one of the negaverse generals now, and he was being used to hurt those that had been connected to him when he was on the White Moon side.
It had come up recently that Chaonis was a weakness, and that it was a problem that needed to be dealt with. A 'loose end'. He could not bring himself to do that, though. And he would not let anyone else hurt his son, despite not knowing if he would ever be able to get Chaonis back.
"He would never have corrupted on his own. He was nothing if not loyal and true to the White Moon, and all his friends on Order's side. He was a good kid... a good man. Sometimes it's hard for me to think how much he'd grown through all this. I was very proud of him. Ah. Sorry, I don't mean to get all sentimental and sad."
