Long and thick where it connected to the trees main body the branch was sturdy, it had to be, and made the almost perfect place for Chaldene to sit. His back pressed to the trees trunk while his legs lay stretched the length of the branch. In his lap sat a laptop that was turned on, the screen illuminating his face in the darkness, as fingers flew over keys. His features lite up showed to any good at reading people just what he was feeling at present - hollow. He seemed depressed or just...empty, and perhaps he was, so much had happened over the years and it had all lead to him being here tonight. At least his mother was safe and so was he.
Heaving a heavy sigh, his fingers having paused in there work, he shook his head and went back to work although the pace of his fingers dance was notably slower. He'd been out of the woods and in the city earlier in the evening, helping a team out, and had put his own powers to use. He hated this whole bloody war. It had robbed him of so many feelings and left him hurting emotionally. He'd seen friends of his killed for protesting against this, heard of his father killed, and was lucky he and his mother were alive and safe. Those he'd trained with, senshi he knew, had not come out as lucky as he had. He only bore one nasty scar and a few smaller ones, some of them were missing digits and eyes and such. As his thoughts wandered down this forbidden, dark, path he felt a familiar sting in his eyes and shifted to hug himself. His laptop left sitting in his lap, glowing upon his face, as a post to some media site was left unfinished as the cursor blinked and waited for him to type more. When would he see Tsui again? Was she alive? When would he see Xander up close again? It was too much of a risk to go and see him in the city.
Shifting his gaze skyward he tried blinking away the tears that were forming, even as he toyed with one of the piercings in his bottom lip. He was powered up as he sat there holding himself as he worked to reign in his emotions. This was the only time he could let go, to stop smiling for his mother and trying to lighten her mood, but he needed to get this message finished and posted. Biting his bottom lip he slowly let his hands fall away from where he'd been holding himself, fingers automatically finding there place on the keyboard as they went back to work. His senses hadn't picked up any chaos in the area, which was good, but he remained on alert even as he worked. He knew he stood out with his own aura, how could he not, not to mention the glowing spot at the center of his chest where his brooch was.
Swinging under him, hanging from the branch, was a bottle of cold water. He had it in a mesh bag where just the mouth of the bottle could be seen, and a thin rope was woven between the mesh of the bottles bag lead up to and around the branch so he wouldn't be here for hours working without a drink. He had a bad habit of getting lost when working on his laptop, some habits never died.

Arcadia had never really liked the darkness. Now that he had time to look back on his life, and how much of it had been spent within the Negaverse , it all seemed sort of ironic. Here was a kid (well..adult now) who had been terrified of the dark and slept with glowsticks, who eagerly joined up with a ruthless military of the dark. Weird, huh? These days he still didn't like the darkness, but at least he had escaped the Negaverse. Not that -any- of them had truly escaped the Negaverse, had they? The city was now in it's control, and many of those on the Order side bore the scars of this scary new world. He still slept with a glowstick, when he could. One of the glowing vials of comfort was currently being twirled between his fingers as Arcadia made his way down the path. He had no real destination in mind. Just a walk and a bit of patrol if one wanted to call it that. They were always on patrol.

Patrol was something they all did, whether it was something they were ordered to do or not. So long as one was powered up they were doing it, as they could sense the darkness of chaos, so they couldn't help but patrol in a sense. While he sat there, typing away, he was like a small little neon sign indicating just where he was. The glow from his computer and his brooch gave him away easily as did the glowing blue wisps across the right side of his face. While he typed away he caused for a moment as he felt someones aura. Some Knight was headed his way..should he go down and greet them? No, he wouldn't climb down from his perch.
Instead he brought up both hands and twisted some, so he faced further into the woods, and brought his hands together in a gun like position. Whispering an attack he blew. Sending blue sparks of magic into the air and watched them impact with nothing. he knew, from using it in the past, that the wisps would still appear for the Knight to see. Little blue glowing lights that flickered in the air, disappearing and reappearing, as they lead the way to the eternal senshi who sat waiting for the Knight to arrive.
Chaldene was his own little glow creator, able to create little wisps of glowing light that helped see things, helped give signals, and in general proved to be very useful out here in the woods. Not to mention he rather liked his little wisps and their gentle blue glow, they also entertained small children.

Creating your own glow was a skill Arcadia would be extremely envious of. Why, he'd never have to be uneasy in the dark again! Though honestly, between his cape and his glowsticks the Knight glowed enough. Not that he'd ever admit there was such a thing as too much glow. He had picked up the trace of an aura before he saw the wisps, but the wisps were the thing that really stuck out to him. The Knight paused mid-stride to watch them for a moment, before altering course to head directly after them. The little wisps were simply delightful to watch! And they seemed to originate around where he felt the aura, so it wasn't like he had to worry about a Negaverse ambush. Nah, tonight out here in the woods there was simply the stars and the glow to appreciate. It wasn't too much longer before Arcadia made his way to the other's tree of choice, and after a bit of looking around before he thought to glance up he spotted him. "Well hello there!"Arcadia was certainly a cheerful fellow, a large grin crossing the blonde's face as he waved to the perched Senshi.

he'd watched the darkness as the knights energy came closer and when they had reached the base of his tree he tilted his head down to watch them look about. He could have called down, maybe should have, but he watched the other for moments silently. When they finally looked up and spotted him he nodded his head once. With glowing wisps of blue on one side of his face, drifting down under the collar of his uniform, and a glowing brooch the senshi stood out and had the whole glow thing going on as well.
Shutting down his laptop and pulling his water bottle up to untie he held back to his chest as he let himself drop from the tree branch and landed on his sneaker covered feet.
"Evening." Soft spoken, neither positice nor negative emotions colored the single word he spoke. The smile was barely there, an attempt at a smile, as he looked the glowing knight of mercury over. it seemed both of them had a thing for glowing.
"Patrol duty?" He questioned the other while toying with one of the metal backings in his mouth, twitching it as the ball spun slowly against his outer bottom lip. Maybe he could go into the city and get another piercing...or inked? He didn't know what though but the idea was tempting, though a piercing was likely more sanity and safer to get. Hmmm....it was a tempting idea as he rather liked piercings.

"Always patrol duty. I wander, going where I'm needed and cheering up those I find along the way."And an upbeat Knight, he certainly was! "Nice piercings, by the way. I'm Arcadia of Mercury. Sorry if I have interrupted anything you were up to? I couldn't help but be drawn in by your unique power. It's likely easy to see I like things that glow, hrm?"He shifted back and forth on his feet a bit, constantly full of more energy than he knew what to do with. The smiling blonde moved an arm back to adjust his cape a bit. "Ah...what was it you were up to? Keeping watch or...?"

Nodding his head to the first statement, he knew that to be true. Even when you weren't patrolling you were if you were powered up. How could you not be when you could sense anything incoming? It just meant that they had a lot of people sensing for incoming anything and enough powered people to hopefully handle it. "That's good, that you cheer people up." Something he hadn't honestly felt in a good amount of time - cheery and happy. At least not like he had before this whole thing was over. He could fake it and even feel happy about people being helped, saved, ect.. But it all felt fake, like going through the motions, it wasn't honest and he was sure those around him knew it. The words and smiles were there but there was nothing backing any of it and once the moment was over it all went away, as if it had never been there; which it hadn't been.
"Oh...umm thanks. I don't think I've ever had someone compliment them." Though he'd had people who disliked them, stared, or pulled faces or even asked about them. Asked if the backings didn't bother him, if they weren't dirty from food and such, other things also. Shaking his head he pulled one of those there but not there small smiles of his. "No, nothing to bother. I got a bit lost in my laptop and seeing what I could do to help the cause." He'd been working on apost to a media site, thus helping the cause, but he had gotten lost in his feelings again. Shifting his laptop from his right hand to his left he offered his freed right hand. "Chaldene, senshi of will'o'the wisp; which is what you saw. I sensed you so sent a few little wisps out to let you know I was here."
Watching the other shifting about he found his lips twitching a bit before he shook his head slightly, more to himself than the other. "Perhaps we should walk, you seem to want to move about...unless you're always so jittery." He offered as he glanced about. They were safe as far as he could tell.
"And yes...I can see that you like things that glow. I've never met someone who liked glowing things." It was an unusual thing but no more unusual than other likes people had.['size]

Arcadia was quick to extend his own hand and give the other a firm handshake. "Well, thank you for sending the wisps my way. Definitely a nice way to learn there was someone about. Much better than running into a trap or any of that nonsense, right?" Despite how serious of a statement it was, the blonde shrugged it away like it was no big deal. Yep, walking in a forest that could potentially hold his death? Nah, nothing new there. "I am afraid that I am always full of this much energy, but continuing the walk would be nice. It'll be like a mini patrol."He had pulled away, and after adjusting his cape once more he started off down the path to walk with the Senshi. "...So, Chaldene. How long have you been in this battle we have found ourselves in? I haven't seen you around before but...with the amount of those popping up on both sides I suppose that really isn't out of the ordinary."Honestly, he really was curious! He loved finding out how long people had been in the war, and all the experiences they had been through. It helped him learn about his comrades (or enemies, when he got to talk to them) and it also gave him insight into their personalities and sometimes more. Always something useful when you were constantly trying to cheer people up. Had to know more about everyone, after all!

"They are indeed a nice thing to see - I'm sure. I like them myself." he enjoyed creating them, had since he'd discovered what his magic was. it had really taken the senshi of prayer to make him enjoy them as much as he did, she'd had such a wondrous look on her face the first time he'd used his attack on her so she could see them. now he didn't need to attack a person for them to see the wisps of light. "I agree though, about them being better than traps and such. I can't imagine running headlong into a trap or something is pleasant." In fact he could only think of that as painful and startling really.
Nodding his head he followed at the others side. "I can't imagine that living here in the woods, with so little to do, is good for you then. Their isn't a whole lot to do really." Even he missed going out to coffee shops and other little underground places to listen to live bands and such. He had enjoyed those social things, a break and escape from home and a break from his computer - even if he would admit to having an issue with spending too much time on it and not giving a ********.
Startled by the question he ducked his head for a moment before lifting it and managing a smile, fake and empty as it was. "Six years...a year before everything started to go to hell in a neat little hand-basket." He stated with a shake of his head and some sort of depressed sound. "Too long...How long have you been involved in this war?" He asked gently, not wanting to raise his voice as it seemed improper and just unfitting of the conversation. After a few silent moments he lifted his hands and forming a gun like shape with them he whispered words against his fingers his and blew. Watching little sparkles of blue magic flew from his lips across the tips of his fingers and into the air before dissolving. Soon they gave life to the little wisps of blue light.

The woods weren't really the best place for him, but they were the safest... Heading into the City was only something he did when Quail needed him, or some such thing like that. It was far too risky, having been a former Negaverse General and all. Still, he did miss it and wished often that he could just sneak in there for -fun-. There were a ton of things he'd love to do to just relax. The current situation simply didn't allow for that however. But that was okay! Arcadia could (and would) adjust. He found other ways to entertain himself, even out here in the woods. "Though the days drag on, and our battles don't always go the way we want them to I wouldn't change much if I could. Beyond the obvious that is...I guess what I mean is that I wouldn't give up the chance to power up and fight, you know? Don't get too down about it...what we do is important, you just have to remember that."He fell silent a moment, watching the wisp's renewed life with a smile on his face...not that the smile often left his face anyway. "Been in for ten years. I really have no memory of what life was like before this, so I guess it's all I've got now. Wasn't always on this side though, I used to be a General for the Negaverse. I got out shortly before they took over. Sometimes I worry about my former comrades who still swear allegience to them...it's hard to see it sometimes but they really aren't the worst people...being with them does a funny thing to a person, you do things you would never normally do...and sometimes you really just don't know why."Arcadia had done terrible things during his time as Scheelite, things that those who knew him now would likely never be able to fathom the Knight being capable of. He wasn't proud of those things, but the blonde owned up to the fact he -had- done them. These days he really just wanted to save everyone from the Negaverse that was able to be saved and end things peacefully. It was a nice dream, at least.

To the others words he nodded his head. "I'd change some things as well. But other things, changes, were good." Going eternal and transcending were both good things. Boding more with various members of order was good also. The living in the woods and putting his mother through all this however...that he'd change. He'd change what lead to a few of his friends, civilians, being killed and even his father.
"I wouldn't give up fighting now, we need to, but back then...before it all started. I'd have give up fighting back then." He hadn't done much fighting then as it was, more of a back up person. That had changed though, shortly after he'd gained his wings, right as things started to become hostile for senshi and knights. He'd also started spending more and more time visiting his home planet, or moon really, as he'd needed the escape from it all and to sort himself out someplace peaceful.
"I see...I'm sorry to hear you worry for them, not that you're worrying for people! But ummm...that you feel such worry." He stated as he shook his head when he raised his voice just a bit, he didn't want the other to get confused by what he meant. "You make it sound like a mind control thing...or an illness of some sort." He gently spoke while glancing to the blond haired knight. "I wonder how many of them even have the ability to think against the Negaverse - who realize it's wrong. How many are so deep in it mentally." Chaldene answered lightly. it did seem very dark and just...wrong to him.
"I'm glad that you're no longer one of them - it's good that you were able to get out." Smiling at the other. it was still unfeeling but it was a big smile none the less - it was an attempt at least.
