Since her general acceptance as very low level assistant in the Infirmary, Abbi had gotten more and more attached to the various people who populated the hospital wing, and more than all that, had begun to view them in the worst way possible. By that, she meant she saw them as non playable characters in a game; If she talked to them once a day and sometimes brought them presents, they would adore her in only a matter of time.
Maybe it was cruel, but it was the best way the teen had to honestly making relationships with people she could not spend more time with.

So it was that on a particularly cloudy day she tottered happily toward the Infirmary with a small pink box in her hands, a very simple blueberry pie tucked inside. There was a particularly gruff and in charge Lifer who traipsed the cots in the Infirmary who had finally let it slip to the teen that they liked blueberry pie. And Abbi, in hopes that gifting them something sweet paired with a nice smile and a few 'please can I work something other than changing gross bandages' might score a few brownie points.
Pie points.
Whatever. All that mattered was that she had traded someone in the cafeteria a full month of mopping duty for a pie and she was going to make the absolute most of this advantageous occasion.

"Foolproof plan is foolproof!" She sing-songed in the hallway that stretched out before the actual Infirmary, humming an idle song that sounded a whole lot like "Moon Pride" as she very carefully made her way forward, hating that she couldn't hop in fear of ruining the dessert she had acquired.

Kiki was new. Very new. A couple days old as a trainee. Life duties were dirty, filthy and un fun. The little lifer Princess was busying herself by pushing a cart of soiled laundry out of the infirmary as someone was coming in.

"Move it or lose it, Gingersnap!"

A loud noise of surprise left the teen as she scuttled out of the way of the suddenly opening door, doing her best not to get whacked with it. Thankfully she managed, but it was a really close call. Close enough that she flattened herself against the wall to avoid the cart and the girl that followed.
"Ha! Nice one, but you'll have to get more creative than that!" Abbi called back with a grin, for it certainly wasn't the first time she'd been called Gingersnap.
In fact, for now, she couldn't recall who it was that had first called her the name and she turned her chin up to try and recall the person who had used the name first. At least, first on the Island.

"Uh... I think you're headed the wrong way. Unless those are clean... The laundry room is out the opposite door." One hand left the box to point in the direction the girl had just come.
"You... Look super unfamiliar. First day shift?" She asked with a tilt of head that turned her pigtails to one side.

Wrong...way..?

"Aw ********!" The sailor mouthed lady griped, slamming a hand down on the over sized bin. She was sweating already just coming the way she came. To have to do it all again...

Kiki turned to properly face Abbi, cocking her head to the side. "Ummm yeah." She flipped her hair off her shoulder. "My name is Kiki. I woke up a couple days ago."

She gave a long pause.

"....Oh, and you are?"

Startled by not only the curse but the violent reaction (she looked so sweet! How could anyone with a candied look like that be so sour?!), Abbi jumped a little and clutched her box closer.
Still wide eyed, the other girl turned to look at her and Abbi nearly jumped again.
Thankfully, she stuck out a hand to Kiki.
"Hi Kiki! Its nice to meet you! I'm Abbi Killian! Moon! I-Intermediate!" Just one curse shouldn't be enough to truly damn her, so the teen smiled brightly.

"Wow, a couple of days? That's rough..." Oh wait that was definitely not helpful, way to be sensitive Abbi. "B-but if you need some help I can... Um... Help!" Not much better, but at least it wasn't nothing.

Kiki shook her hand, and made no further acts of violence. For now.

"Ohya? Help me take this to the Laundry room?" She grinned, inching over and hoping to tag team the giant bin into submission. "This is like waaaay too heavy for little ol' me~."

A laugh left Abbi when Kiki called herself little, because it was true, but mostly because Abbi stood a whole towering inch over the blonde. Granted, she would have said the same thing to anyone else who had asked her if she needed help with manual, load bearing work so it was an amused laugh. Still, it was kind of funny.
The teen nodded and continued to grin, looking around for a second.
"Yeah! I'll help! Just uh... Lemme drop this off real quick." She motioned to the box before she turned and darted off down the hallway. It would be safe if she tucked it into a safe spot, meaning far, far back into one of the supply closets, so the teen made hurried work of it before she tottered back to Kiki.

"Alright! Let's tag team it!" For a moment her fists clenched at shoulder level in the customary sign of 'Teamwork!' or really any number of meanings, before she hopped to one side of the bin.
"So! You likin' the Island so far?"

Sweet bacon! A helper! Kiki wasn't adverse to working. She hadn't worked a day in her life, sure. However, she'd made a deal, signed some papers, and this was her life. Her life was now the biggest and greatest RPG she'd ever play. And in order to do well in a game, she needed to work at it.

She just didn't wish to be lorded over by snobby "upperclassmen" as it were.

So far, Abbi was nice enough. Genuinely friendly. She didn't get too uppity about Kiki's cussing, which was a plus.

"Yeah, I like it." She grunted, beginning to push the large bin down with Abbi helping. "Some people here are kind of like... High and Mighty? Like the second they see fresh meat they're all 'oh lookit me~ I'm smarter thana fifth grader!' bullshit." She scoffed.

"Like, whatever!" Princess Kiki did not take kindly to bullshit.

Had Kiki even made the barest mention of her life on Deus resembling a video game, she would have had a particular ginger on her like a mob on a wounded player, but there was always more time for that.
As for Abbi, she tended to view the world more in the shades of otome, where giving gifts and helping people won them to her favor. Which might have prompted her want to help Kiki. Granted, it did stem from honestly wanting to help, which meant she really did gave the trolley a good heave.

"Yeah, yanno... Hierarchies everywhere ya go." She huffed as she pushed, glad to get the wheels moving so she didn't have to work so hard. "Unless they're a leader you can generally ignore them. There are lotsa nice people here!" Abbi grinned brightly, trying to look more on the positive side of things. Mostly because the other girl seemed like she really needed it. After all, here she was helping her with gross infirmary laundry when the teen had really come to bother anyone residing in a bed in hopes of cheering them. Instead she was cheering a newbie!

"So what kind of things are you into?" The other girl was dressed in all pink, she had to be into SOMETHING.

"Hm~ Well, I mostly like video games and junk food. I like pajamas, lolita style shoes, and ball jointed dolls." She prattled on as if this was all incredibly important information. After all, one day in the future she'd have anther birthday, and she expected to be showered in gifts.

"I also like Asian boy bands, and European rock music."
