FAQ This Meta takes place in the future; how does it affect my characters present day?Presently, it does not. You may continue to roleplay your characters in present day in the main part of the guild while the meta continues in the Dystopian Future subforum. What is going on in the Meta will not affect your characters in present day until the end of the meta! There will be a big announcement and more information at this date, but for the time being the meta does not affect current RPs and your character should not be played as having visions of the future until the shop says so!What if I don't want to play my character in the meta; can they still have memories of it when the meta ends?No; if you do not play your character, they cannot have any visions of what happened in the future.What if I win a character after the meta starts; am I allowed to join?Yes! If you win a character and have them arted and stamped, you can join in the meta whenever! Please just post in the Where We Are Now thread and fill out the form!What if I want to be involved in the meta but don't want my character to remember what they see?This is fine! You will control how much your character remembers from the visions of the future, but we will have more information available for this at the end of the meta!How do meta RPs count towards my character's growth?Presently, none of these roleplays may be used or counted for growth requisites. This doesn't mean playing in the meta won't help your character grow, but these roleplays are not usable when you are posting for growth, sorry! (But we have some things in store for active roleplayers...)

Question; would we be able to put character forward from quest, approved or not, for use in this meta as disposable characters?
Any player who does not already have at least one powered character is free to play a disposable—and this includes the civ side of quest characters! Unfortunately, powered quests cannot be played, stamped or not! This is because if your quest is for, say, Sailor Pikachu in the present day, and another player is questing for the same name, there could be overlap! If you are playing Sailor Pikachu in the future but the other player actually wins the slot in present day, then there are huge overlapping issues!
Because civilians do not overlap in the same way, you can play a quest character, though you will have to follow the disposable rules listed in this thread. (This pretty much just means giving them a fake name and vague attacks, but there is full information about it over there!) If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask them here or PM the mule and we will help you out!

Okay, so I know current-chibis will be able to be full-fledged senshi in the dystopian future.... but would they be able to have faction-switched if they're no longer a chibi?
(If that doesn't make sense I apologize, it's late.)
They can be played as corrupted as long as they have grown out of being a chibi/have reached at least age fourteen!

Can we play the Transcended versions of our knights? Or do we need permission from the mule for that?
You may! You do not need to send in a PM or plot idea for this, but anyone is free to play their order character as Transcended!

What's the ruling for personal items and summons for people playing ranked up versions of their characters?
If you have a personal item or summon approved for your character, you may play them as having acquired it in the future! If you do not have one approved, please send a short PM discussing summon ability and personal item ability! (because these are in the future you do not need to get a plot approved, however if you would like to play them in present day/get them approved to be earned in present day you will need to send in a plot as well as information about summons/personal items abilities!)

What's up with space?
Order characters can still get into space, however this is an incredibly draining thing to do! It is almost impossible to transport more than just yourself to your homeworld or wonder. You may attempt to live on your homeworld, however in this future there has been little progress in restoring homeworlds/wonders to livable states. You will still need to visit Earth and restock on supplies. Usually the trip to and from Earth/the wonder is exhausting, so while physically able characters will be able to handle it and just be a bit fatigued afterwards, weaker characters might suffer physical ailments from the energy they spent or require more time to heal.
Chaos has not been able to get into space so far, so homewolrds and wonders are considered safe places. If someone would like to plot that Chaos breaches their homeworld or wonder, this is possible, though only if someone desires this!

How should identity reveals be handed in the future? With the Negaverse gaining control of the city and maintaining positions of influence within all areas of city life there seems to be ample room for their civ identities to either be revealed or suspected.
If you would like for your order character's identity to be compromised, then you can plot this out! The Negaverse is always looking to determine civilian identities. These have a little more wiggle room in the future--the Negaverse might suspect you as an order character and then instead of immediately kill or corrupt, send an agent to stalk you and try to learn more about other potential terrorists, or learn the location of Order safe Havens! We do request that a plot be sent in just so we can keep up with things, but you will not need a lengthy plot proposal if you would like to have your character's identity compromised by the Negaverse!
(Additionally, learning someone's identity in the future/meta does not mean that their identity will be compromised in present day, if anyone is worried about this!)

If you own the Civilian side of a powered quest (Art, stamped, ETC) but win the powered slot during the event, how does that affect the Meta? (Ex: you own Bane McFarleypoo and their powered side is Lickitung Page, but you only won Bane before the meta, and during the meta, you win a slot for Lickitung Page), how will that work or be handled?
If you win a new character or upgrade a civilian in the shop while the meta is being run, you can play that character in the future! For example, if an artist has an upgrade slot and your boy Bane wins for Lickitung Page, as soon as you win the slot you can post to play him in the meta! You do not need art to play your acquired character in the meta.
If you have played your character as unpowered up until that point in the meta and want to then play them powered, please PM the mule and we can discuss things with you if you would like--otherwise you are free to have your character awaken during the meta or just start playing them as though they had been awakened before the meta!
(This topic might be a little confusing, so if you have further questions, please ask and we will be happy to work this out!)

How is Space being handled with regards to transcendent characters who are negatively affected by being unable to visit their homeworlds/wonders? are they still able to go?
They are still able to go! Transcended characters have a stronger bond with their homeworld and are loaned more energy from it to allow travelling back and forth, however due to the massive quantities of Chaos polluting the earth, travelling to space or wonders is incredibly difficult. A character can do it as many times as necessary to avoid negative effects, however they will have a difficult time taking anyone with them and will need some time to recover from the expenditure of energy once back on Earth. We are adding more information to Romeo's space question to further discuss space issues, so please check that out! (And if you have further questions we are happy to answer them!)

Two things:
1. Are the rules regarding Senshi not being able to carry weapons still in play?
2. Can related NPC/family awakenings be mentioned in characters' writeups? Ex. "So and so's little brother was awoken as Sailor ???? and killed/corrupted."
1. Senshi may carry weapons in the future, however these should be things that they could find on the side of the road/wouldn't need a permit to carry. No guns or things of that nature, but if your character decides to carry everyday items that can be used as weapons, this could work! If you'd like to double check if something is workable, please shoot us a PM or post here and we will be happy to hash things out!
2. This is possible! As long as the character is not being played and does not have a legitimate powered name! (You can either not mention the character's name or just make up some name for them!)

Just to clarify: to play a 4th stage character, does the RP actually have to have STARTED after May 1st, or can you just have RPed in it after May 1st? i.e. the rp was started at the end of April, but you posted in it during May, meaning the character was played between May - August.
It must be a new RP or solo that began after May 1st! If you posted to RPs you were were started prior to this date then these do not count, sorry!

Would it be possible to play a character with a disability we don't normally allow? Blindness, deafness, loss of other senses? I know missing limbs are definitely allowed, since they're specifically mentioned!
Yes! For characters that already had battle experience and had to adapt to survive--and considering the increased risk of danger and harm!--we are allowing players to play their characters as suffering from loss of senses or being the victim to great bodily harm in the past five years!

If playing with a disposable, are we allowed to still plot with the characters that do exist? Or is there something special that will be happening with the disposables that I should know about?
If playing a disposable in the meta, then you can interact with any other character being played in the meta! While you will not be able to play your disposable in the present day shop, you will be free to plot and roleplay with the other characters that exist in the future/within this subforum
