What is a trainee to do for fun around the encampment? Between training during the day and settling into their aches and bruises during the muggy, sleepless nights, there was not much fun for a recruit of the army. It caused an antsy wait to days when they were free to roam outside the grounds or sleep in a little while longer. On one of these ghastly nights, just after the call of trainees to return to their dorms and curfew set, a crinkled slice of paper scrawled with barely legible handwriting was shoved under the door of every dorm.

truth or Dare in Tragen! come in hour IF yuo want to Play!

No one knows who sent out the recruitment notice, but the offer sounded too good to be true. Some may have cast off the notice for fear of the punishments to come if they were found out by one hairless man. Others were quick to jump on the offer immediately and left theirs when the coast was clear. Whatever their choice, the dorm with the most boring view was soon to be brimming with activity. Tonight, it was going to provide the most fun.

The note couldn't have come at a better time. Tired from training and longing for just a small moment of fun, hands scrambled to scoop up the game invite to stash it partially under his pillow to hide it. His first reaction was to wonder if this had been the work of his doppelganger but Jeong-jae likely would've picked him up personally through the window rather than leave a paper trail. Hwan-jae didn't realize yet just how many people had gotten the same note.

'Well, count me in. I've worked hard enough for a night off!' Tugging his boots back on, it wasn't long before he was ready to take off and he peered out his door to make sure the coast was clear. Stealth was not his strong point but dammit it, Hwan-jae was not going to just sit in his room while everyone else had fun tonight. Stepping out, he crept down the hallway and out the door into the cool night air. It was soothing after a long day in the hot sun taking a beating in hand to hand combat.

He knew the way to Tragen well enough having visited it before to meet up with his brother. Had the game been hosted at Falke the boy likely would've made enough mistakes finding his way there to get caught by someone patrolling. He could hear voices talking somewhere though it was too difficult to make out the words. The troublemaker longed to get closer and eavesdrop but tonight there was no time for detours and he forced himself to focus and make it to the right dorm. Once arrived, he thought over the note over one more time and wondered where the heck in Tragen he was supposed to go? Oh he got it, maybe figuring it out was part of a test to slim down the contestants.

Poking his head excitedly around corners to check for fellow students or teachers to avoid, Hwan-jae hoped he'd find a friendly face soon. He was certain all he had to do was find the room making the most noise and he'd be close, right?

((Kicking this thing off! I'm hoping he can bump into others looking for the place too or get dragged into the right room. XD))

A bored figure waited by the back entrance of Tragen, glancing at the door with an impatient frown. He knew it was only going to be a few minutes longer but wanted time to pass faster as he waited for the participants to arrive. This was going to be a good chance to hang out and bond with the other trainees. Originally the game was going to be Tragen exclusive (because obviously they had all the hot girls) but then he realized his brother might want in and thus the notes to the other dorms had been sent out. Now it was time to get to business and he shifted to peer outside to look for any arrivals.

"C'mon! Where is everyone?" He'd done his best to rouse up as many Tragen representatives as he could but they'd just have to see how many people were actually willing to risk Santos' wrath if they were caught. It was a risky move but important to find little ways to live it up! Jeong-jae wouldn't go so far as to say the game was harmless (since there was the chance a 12 year old might come) but he'd do his best to keep it appropriate if that occurred. Hopefully it wouldn't be a problem though~

"Hwan! Go on up, it's in my room." Grinning at the sight of a familiar face (being his own), Jeong-jae patted his twin on the back and continued looking outside. It would've been more comfortable to hold the game in the break room but that would've raised the chance of getting caught by 100%. It was going to be a tight squeeze to fit more than ten people in one of the dorm rooms but people would make do, right? He wasn't sure if his new roommate Martino was okay with the game but the guy was an artist judging by the paintbrush collection and didn't artists like parties? Whatever, they were doing this!

"It's no use hiding over there, I see you~ Hurry up and get inside!" Squinting at a reluctant looking shadow around the corner of the dorm, Jeong-jae smirked and gestured for the person to slink over. Turning to head up, he figured he'd played the part of doorman long enough and started leading any other arriving trainees up to the arena. Settling down on his bed next to Hwan-jae, the boy waved to the others coming in the door.

"People can join in as they arrive. Let the games begin!"

((I made up a shadowy figure that can be anyone who needs help getting a character who'd be unlikely to join in be able to do so! It can be anyone who wants to join. I figure whoever next joins can start the game! XD))

The seventeen year old perked at the crinkle of paper being shoved under the door of her dorm. Rising to her feet, she crept over and plucked the slice from under the crevice. Gliding her eyes over it, she gave it as much of a thorough read as she could (the handwriting proved this to be an arduous feat), before she made a face at the memo and then passed it on to another of her roommates. Even she could admit that her days were a monotonous cycle of get up, do tiring training and activities, and then hit her bunk tossing and turning into the night. But she feared something more than putting a temporary end to her boredom -- getting reprimanded by Baldy. Just the thought of that man glowering at her as she trembled under the loom of his shadow caused her to shiver. She finalized, then and there, she was not going to test the sanctity of her dorm room. The girl would stay, wrapped up in an itchy blanket on her brick-hard mattress, until the sun rose and the day began again.

Or so she thought.

By the push of an unknown hand, Shakuntala found herself tiptoeing out of Luchse with her hands wrapped tightly about her waist. The crisp, cool air of the campgrounds could not settle the fire of panic and fright marking every step she took. She felt, with every corner she turned and scuttled from, there would be Santos standing before her with one hand on his hip and the other about a rope ready to hang her for her misdeed. Peeking from another one of these corners, she let out a sigh of relief when she could make out the entrance to Dorm Tragen in the ebony. At this, she made a run for it, but her dash was cut short when one of the camp's felines shot out before her.

"Ah-!" she began, her voice rising in a scream, but she suddenly bit down hard on her thumb to suppress her cry. T-that... was a close one...

Swallowing thickly, Shakuntala approached the dorm from the shadows, and let out a small squeak when she was spotted by one of the males of the dorm. She gave Jeong-jae a timid nod as she followed him up to the room where the game was to take place. Upon her entrance, her nose immediately picked up the scent of drying paint. She instinctively darted her eyes to the right where she came upon a familiar face lying casually on his bunk. Her eyes locked with Martino's for a second as the man gave her a lazy look-over then smile.

Please don't talk to me. Please don't talk to me. Please don't talk to me.

"Oh, holaaa..." The man greeted as he saw the girl he had met when they were in the 3DMG repair class. He rolled over and hunched himself up on his elbows, smoothing away a lock of teal hair after doing so. "You're señorita Shakuntala, right? Didn't think you'd be the type to show up!"

The timid girl gave him a look as if he were pointing a gun at her. Whelp, so much for introductions and outing her as the bashful type.

Larisa stared down at the note in her hands, tearing at the edges absentmindedly while she considered the possibilities. She'd been so tired just before it had come sliding under the door, ready to fall into bed and stay there until the next day started, but now a nervous excited energy had come over her. A game of Truth or Dare in another dorm after curfew. It was sort of scary to think about, but it was also sort of absolutely brilliant. Still, even if she was a little torn on the whole thing, she could at least be certain that this was a chance. She loved games and she still wanted so badly to make friends, after all. With a decided nod at those thoughts, the blonde folded up the note and slid it into a pocket before reaching for her ribbons to tie her hair back into its usual loops. Then, once she'd slipped her boots back on and grabbed her jacket, she was moving for Falke's exit as quietly as she could.

Getting out of her dorm had been the easy part, though. In contrast, actually sneaking over to Tragen was an exercise in absolute fear. What was the punishment for breaking curfew anyway? In her nervousness, she couldn't even remember, but her mind very unhelpfully provided a vast assortment of horrible horrible possibilities instead. The relief that washed over her once the dorm entrance came into view was staggering and the rush of it boosted her confidence enough that she didn't even hesitate to ease in with the others. Hesitation did return, however, once they were in the room. Where was she supposed to sit...?

Awkwardly, she moved out of the doorway and edged a little closer to Shakuntala. It was pretty clear this was those guys' room, after all, and she wasn't sure how to feel about that. But! She hadn't come here just to lurk about and be awkward. Friends and games, friends and games, she could do this. "Hello, I'm Larisa!" She declared, and then swallowed hard, because oh this was hard. Smiling nervously, she continued on. "I'm looking forward to playing the game with you guys! I haven't ever really played it much, but I've, um, heard a lot of stories. You know, maybe we could do this with other kinds of games sometimes too. But I guess we should, uh, start this one first, right? When are we starting?"

Blushing brightly, she realized she was beginning to ramble and reached for an end that wouldn't be even more awkward. "Or maybe we should just start now and get it over with. You go first!" Thrusting out her hand to point at Jeong-jae, she blurted out a final "Truth or dare?!" And then promptly wondered how hard it might be to spontaneously disappear and never come back.

Luckily for Zin, she was already staying in Tragen, so when she got the note she wasn't worried about getting caught. The only problem was figuring out which room the game would take place in! The mysterious note-writer could have been more specific!

She left the note on the floor and quietly ducked out of the room so as not to disturb her roommates. She wandered the halls for a while until she spotted some people that she was pretty sure didn't live in Tragen; the note had spread pretty far!

She followed them into a room where more people had gathered. This had to be the right place, then.

Zinnia had never played truth or dare before; she'd grown up an only child, and her parents wouldn't have approved of such a risky and unladylike game. And so, of course, Zinnia was very excited to play and see what the fuss was all about.

She spotted her friend Shakuntala, who looked rather uncomfortable for some reason. She was with a guy that Zin didn't recognize. "Hey, Tala!" she called, raising an arm in greeting as she strode across the room and toward the unlikely duo. Glancing around, she realized that the game had already started and promptly lowered her arm to cover her mouth. She parted her fingers, revealing an apologetic grin. She hurried quietly the rest of the way to Tala's side and watched the others with eager eyes.

He was surprised to see his roommate already knew the newcomer but Jeong-jae supposed it shouldn't have been a shocker. The teal haired man had a special air about him that implied he had a good handle on names, even for people he hadn't formally met yet. It was funny to note the juxtaposition of how lazy he was with his hygiene and belongings contrasted with how polite and nice he could be to others. They hadn't known each other for very long but Jeong-jae already got the feeling Martino was his go-to man if he ever needed help smoothing over a fight.

"Nice to meet you Shakuntata! That's quite a mouthful." His own name wasn't especially short either but it seemed easy for most people to say. Giving the shy girl a smile, the boy hoped she'd find a spot to get comfortable and start to warm up after a few rounds. Usually all it took was a little time. The sound of footsteps approached the door and he paused wondering if their cover had already been blown but was relieved to see an eager looking blonde poke inside the room.

"What kinds of stories? And what kinds of games?" Lightly teasing the girl with a subtle implication, the boy laughed at how she rambled nervously and found it cute. She didn't appreciate his amusement however and challenged him head on with a passionate pose he didn't expect. Huh, she was gutsy than he'd thought. Rewarding her with another chuckle, Jeong-jae leaned forward a bit and replied while holding her gaze playfully. A pair of twintails breezed by him and joined the girl's side of the room and he wondered if she'd introduce herself after his round. Leaving her to greet the brunette girl privately, he continued on to declare what challenge he would accept.

"Dare!"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 28, 2014 11:00 pm

"J-just random ones, you know?" Larisa replied, voice small with embarrassment as she realized she couldn't actually recall any real stories. She'd just said it on the fly without any specifics, because she'd needed something else to say, and who knew if her brother would have even had any more experience with Truth or Dare to tell her about anyway? But the guy she'd challenged was leaning forward, his eyes on hers, and she struggled not to look anywhere else at all. Dare. Oh no, she was so stupid, she hadn't even thought of what she would make him do once he'd answered! She couldn't back down now, though, so she had to think of something quick!

"I dare you..." Drawing it out as she sped through options popping into her mind, she shrugged and blurted the first that stuck. "To stand on your head and sing a song!" And then she let out an anxious, mortified little laugh. "Oh no, that's a terrible dare, isn't it?" But now that she'd said it, it was done. Maybe it wouldn't be as stupid as it sounded now? Rubbing the back of her neck, she gave a meek smile and muddled forward. "A-And maybe I could get everyone's names?"

All of the confident demeanor paused as Larisa announced her dare. Jeong-jae seemed to just hold still for a moment as he processed the information. She wanted him to stand on his head... with this hair do. Annoyance flashed in his eyes before the twin smiled and proceeded to give a flashy bow. He wasn't thrilled about it but not going to be the first one to lose either! It would take a more extreme dare to cause him to quit. Bending forward, he rolled onto his head with a handstand and struggled to balance himself without flailing his legs and kicking anyone in the face.

"Oof! There! Anything you can do I can do better! Sooner or later I'm greater than you!" Once in position he quickly yelped out a song, focusing on getting through it faster rather than with good musicality. His voice wasn't terrible but not in prime presentation and he straightened back up once he finished two verses, figuring that was close enough. No one wanted to watch him do that for three whole minutes. Gazing around the room it was time for Jeong-jae to pick the next target and who better than the girl who'd just entered? Allowing everyone to introduce themselves briefly if they wanted to, he realized he'd never given out his name either.

"I'm Jeong-jae. Good luck keeping us straight." The boy chuckled, knowing that it would be weeks before the other trainees sorted it out.

"Now then, twintails! Truth or dare?" He hoped by challenging her, it would draw Shakuntala into the game as well, since they maybe knew each other.

((If it wasn't clear, he's challenging Zinnia but since I didn't want to godmode how she gives her name... yeah.))

Zin clapped when Jeong-jae successfully did a handstand. She jumped a little when he addressed her; she hadn't expected to be chosen so soon! But there was no way she would chicken out and choose truth after Jeong-jae had done such a cool dare. She wasn't sure that she'd be able to stand on her head, but hopefully she could do something else equally impressive.

"My name's Zin," she said, "and I pick dare!"

She grinned in anticipation. This would be her first dare in her first game of Truth or Dare!

Shakuntala's eyes were immediately drawn to the younger girl. They went wide at her appearance as if sincerely pleading for her to be the barrier between herself and Martino. Yet, the artist did not seem aware of the seventeen year old's discomfort, and simply batted eyelashes with a welcoming smile at the girl.

"H-hello, Zin," she greeted in a gentler tone when Larisa proclaimed a dare to Jeong-jae. She watched him steadily as he stood on his head in success; a small smile gracing her lips. She followed with, "I-I'm... Shakuntala," in introduction to Larisa while she was at it.

"I'm Martino," the artist greeted, "Mucho gusto a conocerlos."

Martino sat up this time and hung his legs off the side of the bunk and used his right hand to scratch lazily at his hip having gone shirtless to survive the sweltering nights. At first, he was not interested in the game one bit, but the excitement that followed with the twin's completion of the dare had drawn his attention. It was beginning to look fun and, for once, the artist also wanted to participate. Should he be picked, of course.

Shakuntala didn't seem to share the same feelings. She cast her eyes to her friend when she was chosen next to go for truth or dare. Waiting in anticipation, she winced slightly at Zinnia's choice; drawing her legs closer to her form as she were readying to roll away like a tumbleweed. She hoped it wasn't embarrassing.

Yesenia Quinonez burst into the room with all the stealth of a 30 meter tall titan, dragging an unwilling Amalia Stern behind her. "Come on, Malia! We're already late!" She whined to her kidnapped companion.

"Late for what? You still haven't told me what's going on, Yes!" She broke free of Yesenia's grasp and looked around at everyone gathered. "What's with all these people?"

Yesenia turned and made a grand gesture around the room. "We're playing Truth or Dare!" The grey haired girl's hair wasn't in it's usual braid, and it hung loose behind her back. The green haired girl opened her mouth to protest, but Yesenia cut her off. "And I know you don't wanna play, which is why I kidnapped you~!" Amalia's mouth simply hung open as she took in the stupidity of the situation.

Amalia shook her head. "And why do you think I'm going to stay? You can't just keep me-" Yesenia cut her off. "I'll buy you a cake on our next day off." "Who's turn is it?"

He didn't say anything about the dare, no, but Larisa was sure she'd seen some annoyance in his eyes before he'd flashed that smile and bowed. Shifting uneasily for the millionth time, she watched as he actually went through with it and had to lift a hand to her mouth to stifle a little laugh despite herself at his song choice. That flash of amusement made it easier to smile and nod to each of the other fellow trainees as they introduced themselves to her, though, and she noted that none of the others seemed to be annoyed at her, so that was good. "It's nice to meet you all."

Still smiling as Jeong-jae challenged Zin, the blonde glanced around again to decide where to sit. Instead of coming to a decision, however, she was scared to death by the sudden and loud appearance of two girls bursting into the room. She yelped, stumbling further away from them before she realized it was just more trainees coming in, and pressed a hand to her heart in an attempt to will it to slow. Once Yesenia and Amalia's back-and-forth settled into a question, Larisa spoke up helpfully.

"Um, hi. Jeong-jae," she paused, unsure if they knew everyone either and then decided to motion to him just in case, "just challenged Zin and she picked dare. We're just about to, um, see what he makes her do."

Hah, Jeong looked like an idiot like that. Larisa's dare had messed up the calmer twin's hair but more so than that, watching his brother figure out how to balance on his head was hilarious. The guy wasn't a clutz or anything but it took concentration to do something like that and he was impressed his clone hadn't fallen on his a** halfway through. A few more people trickled in and he couldn't have been happier at seeing they were mostly girls.

"I'm Hwan-jae! Yes, you are seeing double." As introductions began, the boy perked up from sitting on his twin's bed with a playful grin. Martino said something he didn't quite understand but he nodded in response with a sort of bewildered but friendly look on his face. The older man was shirtless already he noticed and he mentally laughed at the guy's good fortune that they were playing Truth or Dare instead of strip poker.

"Conokler- con- conocerlos to you too!" He attempted, stumbling over a language he didn't know. Martino was one of his brother's roommates so it was important to try and get on his good side too. Not to mention, he was one of people living in the current game room and they had to keep him happy or he could kick them out. He looked pretty relaxed and chill compared to the nervous raven girl held captive near him and he wondered if she was okay. Before he could ask though something else caught his attention.

"Wait, cake? Hey, I want to come too." Catching the tail end of Yesenia and Amalia's conversation, he scooted closer to get involved. He didn't know these girls but their back and forth comedy routine was cute and well, he really wanted to know where they planned to go to get this cake. Hwan-jae wasn't the most hardcore sweet tooth but dessert was kind of a luxury to him growing up in such a small town and he was still getting used to the idea that with a big city nearby, there were a lot more options available.

"We could make a day of it! Trost, right?" Escaping to the nearby city on a day off sounded like heaven seeing as there was little fun stuff to do around the military academy.

It was hard not to bust out laughing at Hwan-jae's attempt to reply to Martino. Both of the boys didn't know Spanish so they didn't have a clue what he'd said. The artist was a pretty nice guy so it probably wasn't anything bad. He looked pretty content sprawled on his bed but it was good to see he was starting to pay attention! The man was being a little bold to already be shirtless before the game had reached him! What other surprises did the guy have in store?

Two more girls blasted into the room and Jeong-jae brightened at the flashiness of the silver haired one. She was on the loud side which wasn't good for keeping their game a secret but usually he loved a little extra noise. His ears perked up at the mention of cake and instantly his brother was on it. Leaving Hwan-jae in case of inviting them to the outing, his attention snapped back to the eager looking Zin. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation and he could tell she had the need to show off just like he'd done. It would be wrong to give her something easy!

"I dare you to do the splits if you can! If you can't you have to act like a cat for the rest of the night!" It was tempting to ask the girls to do something sexy but would be in bad taste to do so this early in the game. Plus it would be better to figure out which ones wouldn't be super upset or offended when everyone here knew how to use a blade. Zinnia looked a little on the younger side as well so he'd have to be careful not to come across as a creep.
