While at comic con Martha made a statement about the end of the Hannibal book and Thomas Harris 'work' all the time, and the possibility that he'd changed his mind about the cinematic ending he'd written for the Hannibal movie as it differs to the book ending. She said that going back to his book ending with Hannibal and Clarice in Argentina, was his true ending and that he took ten years to write a book so he's about due for another one. She seems convinced that he's 'working' on another book.

How would you feel if we were surprised with a 5th instalment in our favourite series from the man who started it all?

Where do you think he could take Hannibal after that point?

Did you like that ending in Hannibal?

I'd like to see the devil get his due and have Hannibal pay up for his crimes. Maybe Clarice could crossbow him. I really hated his subversion of Clarice!

I agree, but I don't know what kind of a book that will make. Maybe we'd see Will Graham come back into the picture at the end of the Hannibal story. He's not in Silence of the Lambs and he's not in Hannibal, but if there was to be a fifth book, maybe that's what it would take to catch Hannibal. Because the end of the Hannibal book sure makes it seem like Hannibal and Clarice as living some kind of a charmed life together.

Somewhere I read the phrase "Will Graham is an alcoholic in Florida". I'm not sure if it's Hannibal or where, but I'm pretty sure it's "canon", if you define canon as by-the-book(s), which I do. Dang, now that's going to bug me until I find the source. whee

I don't ever remember reading that, but after what happened to Will, I wouldn't be surprised. I'll have to go back and check it out too. But either way, I think Hannibal would be the one thing that got Will back on track if a 5th book was in the works.
