History:

xxxxxxThis legend begins in the furthest reaches of the Rukongai in the year 26, the birth year of Noire on Christmas Day. Throughout what might be called Soul Society comprised of what was Rukongai and the nonexistent Seireitei areas, the world had been in civil war. Powerful spiritual beings vied for power in what can only be described as battle for supremacy. Any attempts at settling villages and attempting urbanization were foiled by rogue clans which would ransack and destroy them. Noire had been born in this place, in this time of complete chaos and disarray. His name comes from the legend of a Westerner named Noire who was honorarily allowed to join the Mistalune clan, while Noire himself maintains no connection to the West. His early years involved moving nomadically throughout Soul Society with his father Kotetsu and his mother Ayanami. This however, was the result of their home village, where their name once held value, had been destroyed. They were once not just a small family. They were a large and powerful clan with great territory controlled. The Mistalune clan dominated that sector of Soul Society for a solid 20 years. However, on the 20th year, they were overthrown by the neighboring clans which joined together. In the night, the Mistalune clan was all but raped and pillaged, their village left in smoldering ash and cindering dust. The only reason Noire and his mother and father lived was that they had been out fishing for the village that day. Upon returning to their home and seeing it was no more, Noire found himself becoming a nomad.

xxxxxxThe truth was that it simply was not safe to stay in one location for longer than a few weeks. Not in that time of turmoil and destruction. Instead, the instinct to survive was what motivated and drove Kotetsu and Ayanami. Their son, Noire, now only 12 years old didn't understand. Why would they have to move? Why couldn't they just stay somewhere? The time when they ever stayed in one place seemed to escape him. It was the year 38 and Noire found himself standing watch in their small camp with their meager fire. They would be leaving in the morning again, heading West. It was always West. Something about the East was just not safe or rather that was the superstitious belief of his father. Kotetsu was a strong man. Strong enough to recognize the defeat of his clan and keep emotional stability for not only himself, but his wife and child. He taught Noire to be disciplined and to maintain situational awareness. He knew that one day Noire would not have him around to guide him and on that day, Noire would have to learn to be his own man. Kotetsu was a jack of all trades knowing how to hunt, fish, and even make weapons. His father had been the clan's local blacksmith. Noire's mother was a cut from a different cloth, she was the daughter of the clan's former leader who shared the same name as their son, Noire. She had the skills to weave clothing, prepare cooked meals, as well as sing. Noire recalled that his mother's voice was the only voice that kept him from losing hope during that time.

xxxxxxThey had been moving for what seemed to be ages. It had been 6 years. The reason Noire knew was because he mother and father always celebrated his birthday. To them, Noire at least deserved that. But, now Noire was a grown man. Kotetsu had nothing more to teach his son. As for his mother, well, she grew direly sick. There was no telling what the sickness was, only that she stopped eating. Kotetsu desperately tried to force her to eat, but it seemed futile. Ayanami had been growing older and weaker in their great journey West to escape all of the madness. She had lost the will and the drive to live. Noire had gone outside of their camp as was his typical routine by now, his eyes attentive and watching his surroundings. He was studying the area, calculating his path, knowing what was there from before and what was new. He made his way to a nearby river to gather water in a container for his mother. When he returned him, he thought, he would boil it and make her drink. His trek back lacked anything tantamount to change. It was normal. Too normal. When Noire returned to his home, he dropped the container in his hands and fell to his knees. For the first time in years, just like when he returned home as a child to his clan's village to watch their home burn. He stared in shock, speechless at the blood which had been surrounding in a pool formation the lifeless corpse of his father, Kotetsu. As Noire sat there on his knees, he realized what could have caused this cruel fate. His mother had no longer wanted to remain a burden to them so she forced herself out of her bed. She fell and in her weakened state must have broke her neck. Noire had prayed it was at least a painless death. His father, the man he had looked up to his whole life, the man whose will was iron and unbreakable had finally met his match. His heart could not deal with the loss of the love of his life, so he took a blade and pierced his heart. Judging by the blood, Noire knew he father did not die immediately, but instead suffered greatly.

xxxxxxIt was the year 44 and Noire found himself an 18 year old wanderer. A pariah who belonged to no clan. Noire had voluntarily pretended to have forgotten his last name. He felt like it had no meaning anymore. Instead, he was nameless and simply one with the wind as he headed even further West. The distance from the start of his journey seems to be immeasurable. Though it is safe to assume it has been hundreds of miles. Noire had several opportunities to settle down. For many who made treks West, random locations often harbored beautiful landscapes and proper places to settle. Instead, Noire felt that there was something greater coming. Something right on the edge of time. So, he maintained his ambition to go West as he had done so for most of his life. He knew in his heart that one day however, he would have to make a decision and settle somewhere. In 6 years, he kept going until he came across what could only be described as the earliest form of Seireitei. Powerful walls had been erected to stop the raiders from harming those within. Noire had spotted a massive line of people who were entering what appeared to be a gate. Drawn in by the mystery surrounding this wall, this place which Noire had never encountered before, he noticed a being in dark clothing. They looked different from everyone else as they were clad in black robes. They were directing whether people could enter or not. Noire pushed himself through the seemingly endless line to get a better look. Inside of the gate he could see a city a beautiful city which was enclosed inside this wall. "Damnit! Here they come!" One of the robed beings called out, as he unsheathed what appeared to be an ordinary katana. Due to the large number of spiritual beings attempting to enter the Seireitei, hollows had began to appear. As Noire caught eye of what appeared to him as a large monster with a skeletal face his instincts kicked in and he moved swiftly through the middle of the crowd towards the gate.

xxxxxxAt 24 years of age, in the year 50, Noire Mistalune was not about to die. He still had a very long life ahead of him to live. Many hundreds of those same monstrous beings appeared and were ripping into the crowd of spirits. Noire remembered that on his journey a passing merchant had mentioned that a large force of spiritual beings had created a fortress. And that the fortress was attacked by monsters. He had laughed at the thought then of monstrous beings even existing. But, that was no longer something laughable. Not when the evidence was right there in front of him. Noire noticed that the robed men were able to kill a few of the monsters, but ultimately they were losing this battle. A hollow jumped into the crowd and landed in front of Noire before screeching into his face and letting fluids slobber over him. Disgusted and terrified, Noire watched as a blade ripped through the center of the hollow and its blood ripped outwards, covering Noire. A robed man held out his hand for Noire to grab. Taking it, he was pulled up off the ground. "Get into the gate! Go now! Go, we'll take care of the hollows!" The man pointed to the gate. Noire then entered a state of fight or flight, his body moving almost on its own. He dashed and jumped, sliding underneath a hollow which attempted to grab him. He saw that the gate was closing and only within a few inches was he able to dive within and under through the gate as it closed. It didn't take long for him to be briefed on everything that was happening in the world. He didn't have to ask where he was, as they explained that this was Seireitei and that the Gotei 13 had finally been established. The civil war for power had been coming to an end under the Spirit King and a new war which involved the very existence of who they were as spiritual beings was brewing. The war between hollows and Shinigami.

xxxxxxNoire had been promised the rights to a place inside Seireitei where he could live a peaceful lifetime as a farmer. Beautiful rivers acted as natural irrigation tools and Noire enjoyed this very peaceful lifestyle. In time, within 5 years he had established a decent farmland and built his home with his own sweat, blood, and tears. "Mom. Dad. You'd be proud of me. I finally found our paradise." He told himself one day, while digging up a hole to plant tomatoes. Noire felt like it was time to find himself a life partner. A wife. Heading into the city, the more heavily urbanized parts, which differed so much so from the rural lifestyle he had been living, he met a beautiful shopkeeper named Mara. The two bonded very naturally as though they were meant for one-another. And they got married that same year. At 29 years of age, Noire was married. It seemed their life couldn't become more perfect. That year the crop was produced an overabundance that they were able to sell and buy new seeds and better tools. And as lovers often bond deeply, Mara found herself heavily pregnant. Upon the discovery, Noire jumped up for excitement. He was going to be a daddy! A father! Noire, him, of all people. Then he thought about his family name. And their history, their clan. The Mistalune. Noire felt he could rebuild them. Perhaps, all along that was his destiny by living. Why his mom and dad wanted him to live and find peace. So, that one day, Noire could restore his clan. On his 6th year living within Seireitei, Noire had his first child, his son, whom Noire wanted to call Octavian, but in his heart he knew he should name him after their great ancestor. Noire. However, this story does not have simply a happy ending. No, instead, this is a story of hatred.

xxxxxx10 years pass and the Seireitei has achieved a governing control over much of the outlying areas. Souls enter and exit Seireitei freely and there is an understanding of balance in the world. At the age of 40, Noire has grown to come to understand that this place is built upon rules and laws. He trained himself to believe in the laws of Soul Society. He believed in the Shinigami and their walls. He believed that they were strong enough to repel danger and live forever in peace. In the year 66, all seemed well, only Noire was to learn that this was the year he would be challenged. Hollows had found a way around the gate. Naturally, they always had this ability, to rip through dimensions using garganta, only no hollow had been bold enough to do so since the time the wall had been erected. The unfortunate location of the hollow's entry was in the rural area where Noire had made his home. Once again, as though the gods had some cruel bending of his grand design, he was not with them. Instead, he was in the shop market trading his farming goods for some expensive toys for his child and a beautiful dress for his wife. He wanted to surprise them. When news of the hollow assault came through, Noire's heart sank. He fell to the ground in the marketplace as he stared up at the sky which appeared to ironically be cloudy. Fate was merciless. As he approached the area after it was deemed safe, Noire found his farmland in shambles, his home destroyed and his family slaughtered. As a Shinigami approached him with his blade drawn, he warned, "Sir, do not come any closer. This is the scene of a hollow attack." Noire held out the beautiful dress and held it tightly, no tears coming from his eyes. He stared emptily at the toy he bought for his child, as he dropped it in front of the Shinigami. His eyes judged the Shinigami and pierced into his very soul. It was like looking into someone who had walked through Hell and right back.

xxxxxxAs he reached their bodies, Noire slammed onto the ground, tears in his eyes as he yelled, "Damn you! DAMN YOU! Damn you... God. How... how can you exist... and let this happen to my family? My clan. Mom. Dad. And even now. You take from me my wife. And my son. You have taken from me... everything." He reached up into the sky as though he was choking God himself. Naturally, Noire knew God didn't exist. That was a child's story, much akin to the stories of the hollows and the Shinigami. No, Noire knew who was the real evil here. It was the Hollows. How he hated them. HATED them. These were the spirits of weak beings who could not come to forgive themselves. Instead, they cowardly became depraved and turned their wretched souls into monsters which would only wreak havoc on everyone else. With all this in mind as Noire listened to the pitiful excuse for a burial ceremony that Soul Society provided, he felt it was time to put down his rake. He found the nearest recruitment center and signed up to be a protector. The training was bland and he was given as asauchi as his reward for completing the 2 year training requirement. At year 68, and at 42, Noire was to begin his life-long career as a member of the Gotei 13, his first division being the 4rth Division where he was assigned to the support units. For the next 52 years, Noire had honed his ability to control his asauchi and racked on a solid 757 hollow kills. Back then collecting hollow masks was a sign of prominence. Ranks had not yet been established as it was difficult to differentiate the gap of power. However, a few beings that were given the rank of Captain, each possessing easily over 5,000 confirmed hollow kills, the 1st generation of Captains were to be respected and feared. However, the gap between power was to even further change when zanpakutō came into power.

xxxxxxIt was the year 120 and Noire had lived a youthful 94 years. His kill count was at 1,343 which made him fairly powerful. He was assigned 20th seat in the 4rth Division. The Captains had discovered the power of shikai and learned the names of their zanpakutō. The discovery of these spirits who were closely bound to the spirits of their owners was extraordinary. Noire envied the Captains who now had powers that made killing hollows much easier. His envy would lead to him learning that Lieutenants, or the 2nd seats were now being offered shikai training from their respective Captains. As Noire completed assignments around Soul Society, protecting its denizens from the evils that were hollows, he rose in rank to the 9th seat in the 4rth Division. Noire realized that it was going to take him a long time before he could find himself ready to ascend to that rank of power. What made things difficult was the lack of a formal training system in Soul Society. Instead, training came from experience in combat, active combat with hollows. Very rarely would bandit uprisings occur in the outlying areas surrounding the walls of Seireitei. When they did, Shinigami were sent to quell them without mercy. The laws of Soul Society were now even deeper embedded within Noire. His hollow kill count had reached a beautiful 4,666 by this point and he was given his own unit, now the 7th seat of the 4rth Division. Even the Captain had to recognize him at this point. During this time, 450 years had passed. And just when shikai had been fully learned to all of the Lieutenants of the first generation. Bankai had come into play. The Captain-Commander had discovered bankai which was to be understood as the final release of power a zanpakutō could reach. The power of the Shinigami would be increased ten-fold. It was just at this time that the war between the Hollows and the Shinigami was now reaching a boiling point. Despite maintaining dominion over Soul Society, for some reason the balance was still being disturbed.

xxxxxx It was not the year 570 and the Human World had been discovered. The balance involved an exchange between Soul Society and the Human World. Depending on whether the Humans were evil or good determined whether in death, they be reborn in Soul Society. If they were evil they were to go to Hell. However, many humans were killed by hollows or died by unexpected circumstances which ripped at their soul's chain of fate as it were to come to be understood. Hollows knew they could not easily feast on souls within Soul Society anymore, so they went to a place that was out of Soul Society's Shinigami reach. The World of the Living. For the next 100 years, Soul Society found less and less attacks from hollows and instead saw the World of the Living a place of terror and unrest. Then the Senkaimon had been found. At 644, Noire had been chosen as one of the first expeditionary units to investigate the Senkaimon and discovery a path to the World of the Living. Of course, like the other expeditionary groups, they found themselves first lost in the Dangai Precipice before finding the World of the Living and becoming trapped there. Using the Senkaimon at that time was much like rolling dice and hoping to roll a pair of perfect 6's. The Dangai Precipice was dangerous and many thousands of Shinigami lost their lives attempting to navigate it without a guide. It's not as though the Dangai Precipice could be mapped. It was simply not that easy. Court 46 had also been founded that year and they decreed that only those brave enough to go through would do so, in order to limit the amount of losses.

xxxxxx For 10 years, until the year 680 was Noire Mistalune and only two of his unit's comrades trapped in the World of the Living. The discovery of the Jigokuchōs had allowed other Shinigami to use the Senkaimon properly and bridge Soul Society to the World of the Living. Returning home, Noire explained all that he discovered regarding the Humans who were still unaware of spiritual beings and the powerful dominion of the hollows in that area. Court 46 had ruled that Shinigami be forced power limiters to restrain their personal powers so that they do not harm the Humans. And interactions with Humans was virtually strictly taboo and forbidden. At the year 769, at the age of 743 Noire had reached the 3rd seat of the 4rth Division. He had killed 11,967 hollows, although Noire was no longer keeping count. The hollow count meant nothing anymore. At this point, he discovered the name of his zanpakutō, Jigokuhime. And he even achieved bankai in secret after training for 30 years. It was illegal for Shinigami to learn bankai if they were not at least a 2nd seat member and even more illegal to do so in secret. This was possible because Noire and Jigokuhime had a very particular relationship. Jigokuhime was a beautiful and erotic zanpakutō which tempted Noire and often distracted him from his work. She finally forced him into a corner and made him confess his feelings. They soon formed an unknown relationship which was romantic. Jigokuhime just understood him. She knew Noire in a way no one else could know him. And she respected him. In all of the world, no other woman could have done the same. Noire had learned to forgive the past and understand everything was a matter of fate. Mara and his child's deaths had been somewhat forgotten. And life was looking up for him. Little did he know, he was to soon discover the greatest of his skills, and he was to become what he once envied.

xxxxxx It was the year 799. Kidō had been invented and Noire was amongst the less than 100 Shinigami in Soul Society at the time who could use these spells. A new weapon that effectively helped give Shinigami an edge against practically anything. The original Captains had gone into retirement after their many hundreds of years of service since the founding of Seireitei. He received a recommendation from his 4rth Division Captain and his history reflected the merits of his mastery of Kidō. Noire had become a Captain and the first Kidō Grandmaster. He developed and founded the Kidō Corps and created a regulated system where all spells were made public. Save for a few he personally favored. In secret, under the orders of the Captain-Commander and Court 46, 10 spells were deemed forbidden in nature for their sacrificial requirements and the amount of devastation they could cause. These spells were then bound by a kidō spell only the current Kidō Grandmaster, whomsoever, they may be can open. Furthermore, they were developed and made to be completely secret. These spells were created to help fight the hollows and the Quincy who would later become an ever-increasing threat to Soul Society and the World of the Living. For the next 167 years, Noire had contributed to the creation of many kidō spells. He mastered Hadō, Bakudō, and Hidō. And thanks to his history with the 4rth Division, he was allowed to learn essentially most of the Kaidō spells up to 80, although he was unable to finish learning them due to the event which would trigger his future. The catalyst which would literally end his peace once more.

xxxxxx Never in his almost one millennium of living, at 941 years old did Noire expect that he would be given the ultimate in what might to have at first appeared as a curse, but was to become his most cherished gift. In the year 930, Hueco Mundo had been discovered and with it, advanced Hollows which had evolved. Their evolution made them superior to the average Shinigami, they became Arrancar, or hollows that removed their masks. Arrancar had superior reiatsu and superior physical attributes and when Soul Society saw that they were no longer winning the war, after their first invasion of Hueco Mundo, they called on science to be their answer. It was the year 967 and the Shinigami were losing vast numbers and ground in Hueco Mundo. They were even forced to leave Hueco Mundo as the Arrancar reigned victorious in practically every battle. In fact, the situation was so dire, for every 1 battle Shinigami won, 5 battles went to the Arrancar. And so, the answer to the Arrancar was given by the 12th Division. The 12th Division Researchers had decided they wanted to wipe out the Arrancar forever by creating a plague. Using pure Shinigami reiatsu, Noire had been brought to the 12th Division in order to use his ability to manipulate kidō and smooth the Shinigami particles. Hollows which were prisoners had been reduced into Hollow particles through hollow miniaturization as the 12th Division Captain called it. Noire was to bond the Shinigami kidō to the hollow particles. Unfortunately, as many warn against defying God and going against all things natural, they were punished for doing so. The particles split and the bonding of the particles reversed. Hollow particles became dominant the particles rushed towards Noire. And soon he found himself wreathing in pain as everything blackened. He screamed in agony as his entire body began to change.

xxxxxxNoire and two others who had been infected formed white masks with blackened eyes and they appeared to be monstrous creatures, their clothing ripped and tattered. Enraged and unable to control their now animal-like instincts, Noire ripped into the 12th Division Captain and removed his arm. The 12th Division Lieutenant suffered a similar fate, only having been choked to death by another hollowified being near Noire. The 12th Division third seat had disappeared, escaping the hollowified Noire and the others somehow. Their bodies unable to withstand the changes fell unconscious. After a few hours, Noire was the first to regain consciousness. And his eyes widened in fear as he stared at his hands and his Captain haori now covered in thick blood. Noire realized then as his memories returned that it was he who did this. In his mind, for a moment he postulated turning himself him for the murder. But, then he shook his head and seethed with anger. "It was their fault! They wanted this... this... plague. And now I'm... I'm one of them." Sighing he looked around and shook his comrade awake. In his mind, he had decided that he lived for this long and simply dying or rotting away locked in a cell was not in his plans. No, instead, he took this card that fate had dealt him and he was going to play it. "Come on. We have to go. It's too late now." Using powerful kidō, Noire and his Lieutenant proceeded to destroy as much documentation as possible of their existence. They along with one other bystander, who was also one of them assisted. They made for the senkaimon and disappeared. While Soul Society attempted to search for them, Noire and the others were deemed fugitives by Court 46. However, in the 5 years which passed Soul Society assumed they were dead. Most likely dead, as the hollows were all over the World of the Living.

xxxxxxThe descent into Noire's hatred and madness stems from being cast aside by Soul Society. After everything that he had done for them, his life's career devoted to protecting and encouraging the prosperity of Soul Society. However, due to their petty ways and their laws, he was forced to abandon his home - his paradise. However, when Noire thinks on it, he really had nothing in Soul Society. Had they formed the Gotei 13 years earlier, perhaps his mother and father could have lived much longer and happier lives. They might have been able to see their son grow into a man. Had Soul Society been stronger perhaps they could have been prepared for hollows to enter beyond the walls. And when Soul Society had began to lose in that damn war, because of the Arrancar, they called on Noire to make them a weapon. How he hated hollows and how in his hatred he did not see the chaos that he was to create. Blinded by hatred, he himself became one. The same monster that he had sworn himself to slay. The same monster that took away his little boy and his beautiful wife. And in becoming the monster, the true colors of Soul Society became clear. Instead of even offering a chance to reverse the affects or help Noire and the others, they sent out hunting parties hoping to kill off their little "mistake".

xxxxxxIt was 5 years of hiding from persecution that allowed Noire to see all the hypocrisies that were Soul Society's Court 46 and their pathetic laws. It was in those 5 years, that Noire's hatred which once was only towards hollows soon became engulfed in a hatred for law and order. As Noire spent his time in the World of the Living, he saw Humans as even more important beings than Shinigami. When he was in Soul Society, Shinigami looked down on Humans due to their lack of awareness and their lack of power. But, Noire saw their creative genius in their architecture and their ingenuity. As Noire attempted to protect Karakura, he noticed the poor support Soul Society provided for these defenseless cities that harbored powerful spiritual pressure from gifted humans. A pathetic officer was often sent to overseen the protection of the city and failed to completely secure it. Hundreds of Humans who would have normally lived full lives had them ripped away from them by the hollows. What really hit him was watching a little girl return home from school one evening in Karakura. As Noire went to unsheath his blade, he cringed as he heard her scream and watched helplessly. The hollow had already pounced on her and ended her life. Noire regained control of himself and slashed the hollow in half, watching its soul purified by his Shinigami weapon, the zanpakutō. As Noire spent more time amongst the Humans, he learned more about himself and his emotions. He spent time thinking about what he cared about most and what he swore to protect. He loved Jigokuhime with all of his heart and he loved the Humans around him. He knew he would have to be come more powerful in time, but for now he would simply remain vigilant in Karakura. Another 409 years pass and the Quincy which Noire had learned of from his defense of Karakura had been battling the Shinigami. Naturally, at first he cared about the Quincy's disruption of the balance of souls, as their powers killed hollows instead of purifying them. But, Noire saw them as underdogs in a war that they were simply outnumbered and outpowered. The Shinigami decreed a purge would be the best way to fix the balance and eradicated much of them. It was a one-sided war and it was merciless. Shinigami killed Quincy men, women, and children. The few Quincy that escaped hid and they were persecuted just as Noire had been back then.

xxxxxxNoire then forwent his Shinigami self and donned the term "Vizard". He decided they would learn to control and harness the curse bestowed upon them. They would dominate and force their hollows to submit. Since the 5 years that had passed, Noire devoted the next 1,000 years to training his hollow and developing the power to control it. He formed a strategy for defeating hollows with the Jinzen state and using the power of their zanpakutō. This made facing ones inner hollow a 2 on 1 fight instead of it simply being the Vizard against the hollow. Upon supremacy against his hollow, Noire declared himself the Sovereign. He also decided that Vizard were the evolutionary superior to all races. That Shinigami, Hollow, and even their opposites, the Arrancar could not compare to the perfection that a Vizard was. In his mastery over his hollow and becoming a Vizard, Noire secured Karakura as his home base of operations. It was during his 1,000 years in the World of the Living that he made sure to study many things. Especially business. Forming Mistalune Corps., Noire created a powerful business control in Karakura in 1971. It was also in the time that Noire spent training his hollow powers, that he created bastardized kidō - Kongidō or Way of Bending. This merged Shinigami and Hollow reiryoku.

xxxxxxNoire had decided that he would destroy Soul Society first and foremost. In order to establish a permanent peace in the world, Noire felt first the dictators who determine where souls go should be dismantled first. Noire would eradicate Soul Society and then destroy Hueco Mundo. Yes, while his hate was directed towards Soul Society, he still knew that evil remained in the hearts of hollows. Even with his gift, he could never find himself capable of forgiving those wretched beasts. The only way Noire felt, that he could create peace and established his dream paradise, was to become the Sovereign of all worlds. And that meant subjugating them all to his will, by force, and with similar methods to their own corruption, without mercy. Only under his watch could the world finally be at peace. So, with that in mind in the year 2014, at 1,988 years of age, Noire felt it was time to return to Soul Society. He would free those who could not escape capture and he would make the return of the Vizards a day that that they would never forget. With determination and ambition, Noire would rise to become Sovereign, the leader of the Masked Covenant with their sacred mission to destroy all of Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. In order to bring about peace for all races. Would Noire's power be enough to bring the world to its knees? Or would his dreams of peace be ripped from his fingers? Name: Jigokuhime (Hell Princess)
Sealed Appearance: A katana with a long grip that has a circular guard that has a curved blade 28 inches in length or [2] feet and [4] inches. The grip is an additional 10 inches in length.
Release Command: "Jigokuhime, almighty Goddess of Hell, Shadow Queen, Princess of the Night, Mother of Darkness, Daughter of Shade, Lady Black, cast unto this world the eternal shadow! Judge, Jigokuhime!"
Shikai Appearance: Jigokuhime's shikai form is that of a scythe with a ribbon on one end. It stands at a powerful [6] feet and [10] inches in height with a blade length of 2 feet.
Shikai Power-Ups: Reiatsu is released to roughly 3/5 capacity.
Shikai Techniques/Abilities
[ Passive - Shadow Sphere ] - Using supreme reiryoku focus, pointing the scythe towards a specific location will form a floating sphere black mass of reiatsu. They are designed where one Shadow Sphere could stack onto another, potentially making them more lethal. These spheres of reiatsu explode on contact with the force of a level [50] hadō with an explosive radius of [5] feet. Another Shadow Sphere may be formed every [2] posts up to a total of [5] Shadow Spheres. They will explode if unused after [10] posts.

[ Passive - Shadow Sphere Manipulation ] - Using his supreme control over reiatsu, he may cause the spheres to transform. This is essentially a complete transformation varying from becoming spiked all over to turning into a cube, with the limitation being essentially Noire's imagination. While the shape is changed, its composition remains the same.

[ Black Well ] - Ripping what appears to be a black hole in the ground using the scythe, a black liquid will begin to flow outward until it comes to a radius of [20 feet] in distance. In this well, Shadow Spheres may disappear and then be directed to move unseen to then be fired at a different angle. Furthermore, in exchange for not being able to attack with or move the Shadow Spheres, Noire may enter this Darkness Well for [2] posts. This does not stop Noire himself however from resurfacing and attacking. He can also move unseen within the well as if he were a Shadow Sphere. This well lasts for [10] posts before it recesses back into the hole created.

[ Shadow Sphere Detonation ] - Instead of having the Shadow Spheres explode on collision, Noire may also force them to explode prematurely. These is best used when a Shadow Sphere has been launched at a target and they barely move to strafe out of its direction, however not out of its radius. This can only be cast on a single sphere however and only every [5] posts.

Bankai Name: Hakumei Jigokuhime (Twilight Hell Princess)
Bankai Appearance: The blade separates into twin in shape and size sickles. Both roughly 2 feet in length, with blades curved with a length of 1.5 feet. Blue reiatsu, Noire's natural reiatsu then pours out of his back to form ghostly wings.
Bankai Power-Ups: Full release of reiatsu.

Bankai Techniques/Abilities
[ Passive - Advanced Shadow Sphere ] - The floating black masses are now larger with an effective power of a level [70] hadō. They affect a radius of [10] feet. Advanced Shadow Spheres may be created every other post. They now have a maximum limit of [10] spheres. They will explode after [10] posts.

[ Passive - Advanced Shadow Sphere Manipulation ] - This manipulation may not involve composition changes. For example, instead of being solid masses of reiatsu, they can become liquid-like or even a gas. Furthermore, they may be molded together to create masses like walls or preparation for Twilight spheres. They actively may have their states changed, however all spheres are changed in state. This has a cooldown of [5] posts.

[ Twilight Sphere ] - Using at least [2], but a maximum of [3] Advanced Shadow Spheres, they are merged together to form an explosive sphere of dark blue reiatsu similar to Noire's natural reiatsu with the force of a level [90]+ hadō. This requires an intense amount of reiatsu control and requires at least [1] post to set up. All Advanced Shadow Spheres utilized are consumed upon its creation. Due to its volatile nature, it cannot be detonated and only lasts [5] posts if unused. This has a cooldown of [5] posts.

[ Darkness Inquisition ] - Crossing the two sickles, Noire will then form what appears to be a black pillar. Then suddenly, another pillar parallel to it will form. And finally the last two will form parallel to the first, forming a perfect square. This has an area effect of [20] feet. Suddenly, the pillars will then release a black screen forming a cube. The cube has a defense power of a level [70] bakudō . However, it drains the reiatsu of whatever is caught within to further empower it to a level [80] bakudō within the next post if the victim does not escape. On the [3]rd post it then becomes a level [90]+ bakudō continually draining the reiatsu of its victim. This can be used defensively as well, as being such as Noire with vast reiatsu reserves will not be so heavily affected.

[ Twilight Spear ] - This is Noire's signature Bankai attack. Due to the sheer power unleashed, it will severely weaken Noire after usage, reverting his zanpakutō to its sealed state. Using all Advanced Shadow Spheres and/or Twilight Spheres, Noire will generate a a spiraling black spear that has the force of a level [90] kidō on top of whatever force those spheres originally had. When launched, the spear will be sent spiraling with great velocity to increase its power upon impact. If whatever was in its way did not somehow escape its effective [100 foot] radius, they would be easily be disintegrated after a massive crater was left behind. After this technique has been used, Noire cannot activate his shikai for [20] posts. His bankai can be activated once more after [30] posts.

I'm honestly not sure how much mercy is needed - the entire thing looks really solid. Of course, I tend to overlook stuff, so you'll want to get the others' opinions as well.

The only thing that I find kinda weird is an increase in Zanjutsu for releasing his Shikai and Bankai - to me, Zanjutsu falls under a skill category, where your strength in it is directly related to your skill, more so than something like Kido, where your strength is more related to your Reiatsu level, and your skill only determines simply determines whether or not you can use it. I know that skill does determine Kido strength, but it feels less directly linked to me than the link between Zanjutsu strength and your skill in Zanjutsu.

Unless I'm off base, and it's not a direct increase to Zanjutsu skill, but rather an indirect increase in skill based off of how his speed increases?

I feel like I was just quite incoherent. I'll try to think of a way to word it better if you don't quite get what I'm saying.



Less a problem with this, more a few questions. [ Darkness Inquisition ] - this functions as a shield in addition to it's draining abilities, yes? You said it has a defense power of a level 70 Bakudo, but don't really mention if it was a solid shield or not. Does it block everything, just Kido, just physical attacks? And if a person doesn't escape in time, is it essentially lethal due to the constant drain?

Other than that, I don't really see anything wrong with him.

Yeah, I wasn't sure either, I just did a Reiatsu increase as well. Perhaps you could have him be a better fighter with his sickles and scythe than with a sword, so it's less of a power increase, and more just the logical outcome?

As for the drain, it does make sense. So long as the others are fine with it, I am.
