******** was an obstacle in the way of what she really came here to do, but she couldn’t have access to the rest of the Island apparently until she did it. Fine. Claude ran a hand through her wild and unkempt hair and released an aggravated sigh. She was certain she looked like a hot mess right now, and it was just another inconvenience to add to the list. If this was what she had to do to get to Lex, though, fine. She’d go ‘find her weapon’.

First the bright lights, and then it was getting dark again as she descended the stairs. These guys really liked to ******** with new guys, huh? Her fingers glided down the wall as she continued down the stairs, and upon reaching the bottom she paused a moment to let herself get oriented. Gray eyes narrowed in the dark as she adjusted. They said there were weapons here, but this room looked way too small, and she certainly didn’t see anything that resembled a weapon. A frown pulled at her lips. Were those guys upstairs just ******** with her? Oh, new guy, let’s prank her, she won’t know any better. <******** longer she stood in this room stewing in frustration though, the more little details became apparent. There was something glowing towards the back of the room, and there was a buzzing noise that was steadily growing. Releasing another sigh, Claude moved away from the stairs and in quick strides made it to the other side of the room. As she drew closer the buzzing sound intensified, and the glowing became more apparent. The young woman leaned, narrowing her eyes to get a better look as one hand reached up to press against an ear. They looked like symbols of some sort…no…they looked like icons of weapons. Huh. Alright, maybe those guys upstairs weren’t pulling her leg…

But what good was a weapon that was like this?

Claude reached up and ran her fingers over one of the symbols, which appeared to be a sword. Ah, it felt like it was on stone…her fingers started to drift over the ones down that row. A staff, an axe, a mace, another sword, a scythe…there were all kinds of little symbols here. As she moved down to investigate more, the buzzing grew louder. Ugh. She kept moving down, hoping that if she kept moving it would help to alleviate the intensity of the sound—

She let out a soft surprised gasp as the buzzing dissipated into a defined whisper and her finger stilled on a tablet that held an icon of a pistol. Pick me, it had said. Claude blinked, and reached out to pull the tablet off of the wall. It came off cleanly, and the next thing she knew it was warping, and the weight of stone in her hand shifted to something sleek and—

Claude stared down, her eyes widening as a flintlock pistol with glowing ruins materialized in her hand.

It…no, she spoke. Into her mind. She said her name was Ula, and that she was waiting for her for quite some time, and that together they could sink many things.

Claude wondered what exactly she had gotten herself into in the pursuit for her brother, and if this was the beginning of some Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
