She could practically feel his ego pushing her away from him. How did could he possibly squeeze into the same ocean with that huge head of his. But she didn't let any of this show on her face, instead she smiled sweetly at him. "But what if I'm not?"  

[Bardess Ookami]

"If you're not.... what, lass?" he asked, so confused. How could any mare not love him... or at least want him. He would be fine with her just wanting him. HE did not understand this...this... disinterested filly.

She widened her eyes in mock surprise. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't realize...." She trailed off, hoping that he'd take the bait. She was pretty sure he would, though given his ego, she wasn't certain if it'd be the way she was hoping.  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Did nae realize...?" his accent going odd in his confusion, then he blinked. AH! The ship had dazzled her so much she hadn't really seen HIM yet! That made so much sense. And just like that, his world was back where it belonged.

"Ah, yes, she does dazzle one so that all others are literally in her shadow, even pirates as dashing as I," He smiled at her. "I take no offense, lass."

"Oh good," she smiled a bit. Ego to spare on this one. "I'll try to use smaller words from here on out."  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Use what words ye wish, lass, if they be words of love and joining. Let topic not length choose your tongue, for love... ah love, she be the most powerful force in the sea."  

[divena]

Was this guy for real? "Oh geez... I think I nearly threw up," she muttered, shaking her head slightly.  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Are you unwell, luv? I'm sure we could find a quiet place to rest until you are more settled. I could fetch a weed I know of that helps calm the body, I find it quite relaxing."  

[divena]

"I'm sure you do," she said dryly. "Do any of these lines ever actually work on mares? I mean... really...."  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Are they working on you, my pretty filly?" he asked, swimming a bit closer.  

[divena]

She made a face. "Yeah... okay... this is getting old," she decided. He was no longer amusing and was rapidly descending into irritating territory.  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Well, we can hardly get any younger, lass," he said, a bit irritated.  

[divena]

She shot one last, curious glance at his ship and sighed. "Yeah... not worth it. I'm bored now. Wish I could say it was a pleasure to meet you," she chirped, turning back toward the shore.  

[Bardess Ookami]

"Lass, ye have hardly met me at all, come back and dally a while."  

[divena]

"I'm pretty sure I know all I need to know about you," Akis quipped. "At least, enough to know that you're not particularly interesting, even if your ship is."
