Note to RP members: While I don't have an NPC fuctioning out of this location, it is important that you quote myself and MischieviousMaieusiophile so I know where everybody is and he run his bookstore as needed. With most of the windows broken or boarded up, it is difficult to tell when the dusty old bookstore is open... which it rarely is. When open however, the shop is run by Sir Jareth Gallifrey (MischieviousMaieusiophile's character). Within the shop's walls rest hundreds of books, all of varying topics. Nobody is sure how one could collect so many books in a normal lifespan but Sir Jareth is hardly what the common folk would call normal. If one is in dire need of arcane (or other), knowledge housed in the Shattered Spine, Sir Jareth can usually be found in a collapsed heap somewhere around town (or visiting his wife's grave in Evergreen Cemetery).

MischieviousMaieusiophile Mori slowly pokes her head into the book store, Tilly soon poked her little head in as well. "Hello?" Tilly called out, looking around the room. "We were told this was the book store, hope we're not breaking an entering!" She said, jumping off of Mori's head and going a head of her. Mori pushed the door open slowly and followed behind, her fingers twitching as she made Tilly walk and look around.

"I wouldn't call it a book store per say, but there are most definitely books here..." a voice answered from deeper within the building. "Stupid things always blocking my view." the voice muttered under its breath. "Sir Jareth isn't in at the moment (but then again he rarely is)..."

Mori jumped slightly when a voice resonated from deeper in the store. "who's there?" Tilly asked, looking around and following the voice. "And we were told this was a store, how's it not a store?" She asked, Mori following behind.

(Remind me again, Tilly is the puppet and Mori is her controller right?) "Jareth hasn't sold anything in years, hence all the dust and clutter." the voice answered again, its source coming from one of the bookshelves near the front desk. Cluttered with dusty old tomes, scrolls, and loose pages a bigger than average glass container can be seen partially hidden about eye level on the shelve.

((So...I am confused. Am I running the book shop, or did you create some sort of NPC to do it? I had considered doing such myself, simply because I couldn't figure out how Jareth would often practically run the shop, being out and about as he usually is. Ha-ha!))

((Yep)) Mori and Tilly followed the voice, Tilly jumping up onto the book shelf and starting to push things around. Mori scanned the shelves as well, spotting the top of a glass container and using her free hand to move the papers around. "So do not a lot of people read?" Mori asked, Tilly poking her head up as she climbed.

MischieviousMaieusiophile (I came up with this NPC before you reappeared and Jareth is otherwise entertained atm, I didn't mean to invade your characters personal zone but I didn't wanna leave Zero hanging either. You are welcome to take command of the situation if you so desire.) "Plenty of people read, but this is not a library nor is Sir Jareth much of a tour guide." The head in a jar answered as the doll suddenly revealed his container. The face's expression is surprised at first coming face to face with an animated doll but quickly gets over it and begins scanning its surroundings again. "Thank you for removing that clutter from around my jar. You won't believe how boring the same page of that book was getting..."

((Ironically, I had already come up with an extremely similar character, but 'twas going to be a female head in an ornate glass container. So...I suppose we'll just pretend that that's what's going on and I'll take over. Ha-ha! So Zero, for your purposes the head looks very beautiful but with ghoulish features such as greyed skin, white eyes, and billowing black hair. The severed portion of her neck is sealed by a metallic collar-like device.))

MischieviousMaieusiophile "No problem." Tilly chimed. "Then why doesn't he make it a library?" Mori asked. "If he is never here to sell the books he may at least open them up for the curious and seekers of knowledge." She moved the jar forward some with her free hand, Tilly wiping the dust off. "After all, isn't that what books are for?"

The head bobbed thoughtfully in her container, an eerie gesture. She grinned slightly. "Let's just say that my Master is not the sort that easily parts with what he...hoards. At least, not without a fair trade. Thus, my position in this business. After all... Who better to parley the best deals than someone who would literally trade almost everything for immortality? Trust me when I say that I know the true price of the heart's desire..." The head chuckled, then eyed the doll with growing interest. "Though I'd be remissed if I didn't say that there are precious few treasures in Jareth's collection he wouldn't trade for a living doll..."

MischieviousMaieusiophile Mori looked down at Tilly then to the head in the jar. "Tilly is not for sale." She said, her hand twitching and making Tilly pout. "Yeah." Tilly squeaked. "I'm not just some toy to be traded off." Mori used her free hand and started to dig through her pack, twisting her head as far as she could to see inside. "I might have something, maybe a book I have already read, would you be willing to trade for that?" Mori asked, looking back at the head.

The head sighed, an odd expression coming from something with no lungs. She rolled her eyes to indicate the room. "As I'm sure you noticed, books are common fare in my Master's collection." She eyed the bag with a slight interest. "However, they say that knowledge is power, and books are filled with knowledge. Perhaps for the right sort of knowledge, a trade could be arranged..."
