Grimm Fate quietly trotted across the plains, second-guessing his choice to bring his current companion to his current destination. Would Ramses mind? The god-child did lose a mate to the Six... but well, so did the stallion towering behind him. Hopefully the pair would at least be civil to one another... Thanatos Kronos was silent as he followed his old acquaintance to wherever he was headed. His rampage across the Isle had finally been stopped, his eldest son--now grown to adulthood and a father himself--had informed him of the death of Rhea. His beloved Rhea, the one who had won his heart and let him leave the warring world behind for a few, brief moments. The news had hit Thanatos hard; he had crawled his way back from the land of the dead to be with his beloved family, only to find them dead or scattered. What was he to do now? His children were grown; they had no need of a father. His mate was dead and he hated both parties in this accursed war. The gray miasma rising from his wounds flickered red at the thought of them. Humans had killed him, and Sixers his mate. If he had the opportunity, he'd rid the Isle of them all. But that was not his job, nor his true desire. Vengeance was pointless; it would not turn back time or return his family to him. He simply had to keep moving forward and hope that he could find something just as important to him as Rhea had been. It was improbable, but not impossible, and he had time. Plenty of bitter, bitter time. "We're almost there."Grimm's voice cut through Kronos's thoughts. He gave a grunt of reply, the red wisps of miasma returning to gray once more. What would be at this place Grimm was taking him too? They had been to quite a few strange places already...

Rameses had just finished dealing with the runner who warned him of Grimm's approach with an unknown and possibly dangerous stallion, when he turned his head to the horizon and saw the two figures approaching. He turned to his youngest daughter, Isis, who had been praying with him at the runner's approach. "Isis, please go back and warn your sisters and Osiris to stay back for now. Natli as well." He instructed, not thinking that she wouldn't listen, as she was the sensible one and completely opposite from Tylion and his's youngest, who was too headstrong and stubborn for her own good. So he was greatly surprised when Isis stepped forward as he did, looking straight at him with her mother's eyes. He sighed, recognizing the look, as he saw it all the time from Natli'ana. "Fine but you do as I say, and if I say to leave, you do it. No questions." he said, his own gold eyes holding the same stubborness. Isis held back her grin until Father turned away, and she too, turned her own attention to the horizon, not recognizing either figure, but knowing that Grimm was one of her father's oldest friends, and figuring that, as a friend, he wouldn't bring anyone too dangerous around her father... right? "Greetings, old friend." Rameses said, his deep voice ringing as the two strangers approached. Rameses turned his eyes to the dangerous one, seeing what seemed to be painful swords sticking out of the stallions chest, and deep gashes in his side. He definitely needed the story on this one as he sure looked like he had just crawled out of the pits of hell. Isis's eyes were caught by the stranger's red, his face turned into a grimace of the only thing she could imagine as deep and unavoidable pain. Her brow furrowed and her gold eyes winced at the looks of his gashes and cuts and those swords! What had happened to this poor creature?! Her first instinct was to dash forward and offer to help, perhaps get him cleaned up, but the gashes looked clean and she was too afraid of pulling those mean looking swords out so she settled for an, "Are you okay?"

"Greetings, Ramses," Grimm replied warmly. "My apologies for not giving earlier notice about my companion." The straw-covered stallion turned to introduce the taller, fiercer stallion next to him. "This is Thanatos Kronos. His family was a line of proud southern warriors from the time before the Six. He's had some... difficulties as of late, so he's been accompanying me until things are sorted out." He tried to explain as delicately as possible; Ramses himself could be trusted with the full story, but he was a bit hesitant to reveal it in front of his youngest daughter. He glanced at said daughter before smiling at Ramses. "Your little daughter has grown beautifully, Ramses. Ra has blessed you with lovely children."
Thanatos Kronos gave the stallion Grimm called Ramses a nod of greeting when he was addressed before sliding his gaze to the mare beside him. His teeth disappeared behind his lips and he gave the mare an equally curt nod to her question. "I will manage." He glanced back at Grimm when the Six were mentioned, a flare of red miasma rippling through the near-invisible gray smoke spewing from his wounds. But it quickly disappeared, replaced by the natural gray. A slight frown formed on his face at Grimm's last comment. Ra? Who was Ra?

Rameses nodded at the pair. "Thank you, Grimm. It warms my heart that Ra has blessed me twice, not only with Tylion and mine daughters, but with also giving me another love and two children as beautiful as Ra and Khonsu themselves." He said, is voice rumbling with his pleasure as he looked at Isis closely before turning back to his guests. "Isis, this Grimm Fate, a dear old friend of mine, and his guest Thanatos Kronos. Thanatos, Grimm, this is my youngest daughter Isis Solange.' He said warmly.
Isis dipped her head, her gold lined eyes closing as she did so. "The pleasure is mine." She turned her head to Thanatos again, drawn by his mysterious injuries. "I do not mean to be impolite... but what happened and how are you still alive and is there anything I can do? I am a healer." She offered, her eyes filled with pain as she again studied his wounds

Grimm dipped his head in greeting and had to try not to wince at the beautiful daughter's blunt question towards his companion. Hopefully he would control himself... the last thing any of them needed was Thanatos going into another rage...
Thanatos Kronos gave another nod to the daughter, Isis, as she was introduced. But her question caught him slightly off-guard and his miasma flared red again. "... I died in battle," he said finally, once he'd gotten a handle on his rampant emotions. "I came back for the sake of someone I loved." He glanced down at his injuries, then at back at the young mare. She was probably about the same age as his grandchildren. "Your offer is kind, but I believe a healer's abilities would be wasted on one such as me."

Rameses nodded, and motioned to Grimm for him to follow. They would go a little ways a way to talk, but not far enough that he couldnt reach his daughter and the stranger in time to prevent something sinister from happening.
Isis tilted her head. "I am not a normal healer... Perhaps I could atleast try?" She pushed lightly, her voice calm though she wanted to demand he obey and just let her look at the wounds.

Grimm followed Ramses a little ways away, not speaking until he was out of the undead stallion's earshot. "His situation is... not too different from yours," he said finally in quiet tones. "His mate was killed by the Six." Glancing back at Kronos, he added, "Though, as you can see, he was killed by humans. This war has not been kind to him on either side."
Kronos sighed through his nose. "And this isn't a normal body," he explained gently. "I do not doubt your abilities, but I do not want to take risks that could endanger one or both of us." His gaze shifted to where Grimm had gone. Should he go over to where his companion and Ramses were, or wait where he was?

Rameses nodded. "And you are wanting a place for him to stay for now?" He asked curiously, his eyes roaming over to watch his daughter and the hellspawn interact.
Isis blinked lightly, her eyes holding the light of the sun in them as she spoke. "I am not a normal healer, I hold the powers of Isis the great goddess in my veins... I may be able to atleast help if not completely heal." She said before turning her head to look at her father, her gold jewelry jingling as she did so.

Grimm nodded. "Traveling with me will only keep him occupied for so long. His is not a wandering soul; he needs somewhere that he at least knows he can rest his head in peace." He chuckled as he watched his old acquaintance glanced towards him with a silent sigh in those red eyes. "Though it seems little Isis doesn't want to let him rest peacefully without her help."
Thanatos resisted the urge to sigh. "Your offer is kind, Miss Isis, but mine is not a normal body," he repeated, this time explaining further in an even tone. "This body was formed from the energies of hell and my own willpower. I do not know what normal healing powers would do to it, let alone those of a deity. It's possible that attempts to heal me with Isis's power would incinerate me instead; the powers of gods and demons tend to mix... violently." Although he was keeping a lid on his frustration at the young mare's persistence, little flecks of red miasma flickered through the gray occasionally. He wished that Grimm or the mare's father would come and rescue him from her insistence, since his own protests seemed futile. He couldn't help be worried that she'd try to force her help upon him... and he would lash out like he had to all that came across his path before his rage had been soothed.

Rameses nodded. "He can rest here.. away from my prayer grounds and the herd, so long as he does not harm anyone else. As for Isis... If she persists I shall call her off." He finally tore his eyes away from the stranger and turned them to his friend. "As for the last matter we had spoken of... She and the foals are doing fine... The foals have grown and the eldest persists in his blood father's errands.. I still pray for them and sends scouts out occassionally." He said, to his dear friend.
Isis dipped her head and sighed, her golden eyes closing as she turned away from him, relenting, though it pained her to do so. "Very well but if you should need anything please let me or my siblings know..." she looked back up at him, imploring him.

Grimm nodded to the first comment. "I'll let him know." He didn't comment on the report, but both relief and worry were obvious in his olive eyes. "Thank you, Ramses. Your prayers are very much appreciated."
Thanatos nodded. "I will remember your offer. If there is something that you are able to assist me with, I will let you know." He paused. Maybe there was something... "Actually..." He shifted his weight slightly so that he was facing her straight-on instead of his more defensive stance. "I have a son named Itzal who lives in the south. If you could spare a prayer for him, I would appreciate it." Haides was surrounded by friends and family; he wasn't worried about his eldest. But Itzal... Itzal was alone in the lands of the Six, where often the rule of the strong was the law. He worried for his second son. It was not the favor Isis was expecting, he was sure, but it was something.

Rameses nodded at his friend. "Also, I have a question for you. It seems that my daughters have noticed an extended cousin of theirs spending some extended time with a Dakini Demoni. What do you know of her?"
Isis blinked for a few moments before she dipped her head. "Of course. My prayers go for all, and I will specifically include him in them." She turned and walked away to see her sisters.

Grimm had been turning to face Kronos again when Rameses spoke. He paused mid-turn, then glanced back at the other stallion. "The eldest daughter of Lord Demoni and a mare named Black Shot," he replied. "Ruin's step-daughter. She was raised alongside Roman, from what my sources have gathered. Some say she's even more brilliant a tactician than her father. I don't know much beyond that, unfortunately, but the fact that she is close to Roman makes me hope that she has more of her mother's heart than her father's."
Kronos dipped his own head in silent thanks and watched the mare leave. She'd make someone happy some day, he was sure. Someone who was younger and a little less stubborn than himself, he imagined. He turned towards where Rameses and Grimm were, waiting where he was since he was unsure if he was permitted to approach or not.

The sun made three rounds before it dawned on Isis treading her way to the stranger's little nook, a trip she took every day to bring him some company and some fruit, which, though the young goddess figured he didn't usually eat, she figured he needed some sort of sustenance, and the fruit provided plenty of water to keep him from overheating or dehydrating under the harsh sun. She closed her eyes as she crested the hill, feeling the cool breeze wash over her that signified the end of summer and the beginning of fall. It was a wonderful time of transition.

Thanatos Kronos was in a rare state of panic. While he was usually there in his little nook that Rameses had allowed him to stay in by the time Isis appeared, this time he was not. He was trotting as quickly as he could without disturbing the little bundle he was carrying, the blanket clamped in his teeth. He ignored the blood splattered across his body and the blanket's exterior. He ignored the sword that had been painfully forced from its intended angle and was dragging along the ground beside him, only attached to him by the bond it had with his soul. He just had to get this little child back to Rameses's mystical family. He didn't know what was wrong, but something was. When he finally arrived, Isis was already there in his quiet corner of the land. He swiftly set down the little bundle, dropping one of his front legs down as he pressed his forehead to the ground in a bow that most would find humiliating to perform. "I expect you will be angry with me and I will accept what punishment you see fit to give me... but please, save this child." He wasn't going to make excuses or hide the signs of fighting and death littering his frame; the child's health was his first priority. He couldn't say what was wrong, but the foal was too quiet and too light. Even the filly's breath was faint... Kronos could not contain his unprecedented terror, which drowned out even the excruciating pain of the soul-bound sword that had been forced out of its proper place. This child could not be allowed to die.
