Though she may look intimidating, Em is actually a rather shy and quiet individual which surprises many when they converse with her. She is very gentle and kind to her allies though a different side of her comes out when she faces her enemies. When fighting, she appears serious and deadly, willing to kill both titans and humans alike if that is her objective.

*Bio:
Ever since Em joined the military, rumors went around about her scars being from a near death experience with a titan. In reality though, they were caused by humans. Em grew up in a low class family within the walls, her mother had passed away from an illness when Em was eight leaving her with her father who was a bit of a gambler. Because of this, Em did her best to work multiple part time jobs at such a young age so that they could actually afford food. One day though, her father got into some trouble with a wealthy man and owed him money. Though he was unable to pay it. Long story short, he ended up giving the man Em instead, who acted as his family's servant. They were a rather brutal family and, whenever the man would get drunk, he would do terrible things to Em that lead to the scars that she wears in the present. When she was 13, she managed to drug the family and, when they were unconscious, she somehow managed to escape. She ended up living on the streets for another year before finding out about how she could join the military. Having no other choice, Em decided to go into training. After graduating with flying colors, she chose to be in the Scouting Legion, since that would get her as far away from the walls as possible sometimes.
