[CARNIVAL] Treasure Hunt - OVER 'GRATS WINNERS!

What's a summer festival without a treasure hunt? Grab your shovels! The fairies have sectioned off a part of the beach for treasure hunters to dig and discover the shinies hidden beneath the sand! Who knows--maybe you'll get lucky!

Treasure Hunt Rules

• In character, each player may post with one of their Pae'il each day. That Pae'il may dig once each day (see grid). It's fairly simple--either they've found something, or they haven't. Or is it that simple? wink
  
  
• OOCly, the game is as follows. Each player may post with one Pae'il a day. RP is appreciated, but not required. Post the code with the player's name, the Pae'il's name (if applicable), and the space they're digging in (e.g. G2, A5, etc). Each day the grid will be updated showing the spots that have been dug in already, and at the end of the day, any prizes won will be handed out.
  
  
• There's a chance your Pae'il might find something beyond the ordinary carnival prizes (which the island fairies had nothing to do with, they swear), in which case they might want to take it to an expert to find out more about it. Those experts have IC booth-things set up, and OOC can be found in the Redemption thread. Elizabeth will handle antiques/relics, Takeko gets anything plant-like, Dizzy knows a ton about books or anything with writing on it, and Azure can examine crystals.
  
  
• A player may win multiple times in this game. It's essentially luck-based, so no sore winners/losers please. heart

The blue hued female tried not to sigh as her normally stoic sister dragged her to the beach. She appreciated Niday trying so hard for her, really. A few years ago Dayht would think her sister seriously ill with how upbeat and talkative she was being of late. But as much energy as her twin was trying to infuse in her, the same amount seemed to drain out like a hidden hole somewhere on her. "I'm tired Nigh nigh. Lets go back home."

Dayht was not making this easy on her. In one hand she pulled along the lump of sad she called her sister, the other held a shovel. She was going to have Day have fun even if it killed her. "You love this sort of cheesy nonsense. We're already out here, might as well join in." It was taxing, forcing herself to be something she wasn't in an effort to help her sibling. But she loved Dayht, so would continue for as long as it was necessary. "Here, take the shovel. You get first dig."

She couldn't hold it back any longer. The golden winged female sighed while taking the tool in hand. "Okay, okay. But this 'fun' is for you." With that she finally stopped shuffling her feet to walk side by side with her counterpart. Deep deep down inside where she wouldn't admit to even herself, she was the tiniest bit excited.

Who wouldn't enjoy the chance to play pirates?

After a few minutes she stopped and looked curiously at the ground. "Here. This is where we start." The shovel went smoothly into the soft sand in front of her as anticipation began to build. Who knows what she'd find?

Remy waved goodbye to his father, Porter, as he ran over to where the treasure hunt was taking place. There wasn't much that this pup enjoyed more than digging. His purple eyes sparkled as the reflection off the water caught them as he glanced across the digging field. The boy lifted his nose to the wind sniffing the air. His sense of smell wasn't any better than anyone else's, but he could pretend.

Remy's tail wagged as he took off, hot on 'the scent'. The boy splashed straight into the water. He was careful not to go too deep since he didn't have that much experience swimming, but it seemed like a good place to start.

Pasha toddled along the sand, hippy hopping along as it burned her toes. Lots of other pae were here playing in the sand, and where pae were, things were! She couldn't explain the feeling really, of finding shiny stuff she just had to have, eevn if it belonged to someone else. But she knew she loved it. Grinning, she found a little plastic shovel from a set of 'abandoned' toys and began to dig in the dirt like everyone else. She thought she was playing a game, looking innocent, waiting for someone else to not look so she could see what fun things they had to play with.

Nimue clapped her hands together. Treasure hunting! Yes! This seemed like fun. She loved the beach and the water after all. The fae futtered to a plot of sand before looking around the beach. The spots were already starting to fill with others, some of the smarter(in her mind) ones chose the water. That was a good idea, but she'd rather wait until she all good and sandy before heading to the water. You had to was the sand off right? She shrugged to herself before settling on the sand, using her hands to start to dig down into the soft sand, looking for anything really.

Simon couldn't quite contain his excitement, it was rare that he found time to leave the city, and even rarer that he felt the inclination to look for fun beyond its borders. He wasn't sure if participating in a treasure hunt was exactly right, of course, if he found something particularly valuable he could probably donate it to someone who really needed it. But still, the looking would be thrilling, no denying that. He knew he'd make his way to the water eventually, no need to start out there, working his way outward seemed like the best strategy. Now if only he had an eye for shiny things the way some of the fairies did...

A carnival. This was the first one of this nature he'd ever been too. Naturally he was curious about the new pae and saw the friendly gathering as a great chance to mingle with others and maybe tell a bit about the Guardians. It still blew his mind that there were those that didn't believe. It was like not believing water was wet or that the isle used to float high in the sky.

Liking the idea of a game, Kurt found himself a spot in the sand and started to dig to see if he could find anything.

The small pae continued to wander around the carnival, avoiding the faun that was watching him as best he could when he happned upon a beach. The sand and ocean instantly stole his attention and he wriggled his way down the beach close to the waves. Looking around he noticed people digging in the sand. Ooh was it some sort of game! He wanted to play too! He found that he enjoyed playing in the sand and was soon digging away oblivious to the rest of the world.

Chini had followed her new friend, Pasha, out onto the sandy beach. She was learning so much from the other toddler, and gaining a ton of shiny things to call her own!

She was following right behind the other when something caught her eye. Was it a shiny? She quickly waddled her way towards it an eagerness to her step. If it was anything like what her and Pasha had been finding in the carnival it had to be good! She plopped down into the sand and began to dig.

Ahi's efforts in the water didn't go unrewarded--he found a chest buried in the soft, wet sand!

Congratulations! Ahi found a trunk! Better take it to Elizabeth to see what's in it!

Remy didn't have to dig very long before he found a strange capsule buried shallow.

Congratulations! Remy found a ticket capsule! It has 5 tickets inside!

Fea Line

Pasha didn't find anything in the spot where she dug, but she does come away feeling strangely...refreshed.

Twitchapher the 3rd

Nimue hit something somewhat soft. As she pulled it out of the sand, it was warm to the touch and covered in a shiny metal covering. Upon opening it, she discovers some sticks of cheese covered in breadcrumbs. Wonder how those got there...?

Simon didn't have to dig very long before he found a strange capsule buried shallow.

Kurt dug until the water started to fill the hole. Nothing. Hmph!

Pasha stood up, saddened by the fact that everyone else had pretty shinies but her. At least she felt strangely...refreshed. Grabbing her little plastic shovel she toddled on over to a new spot to start digging, keeping an eye out on the others around her. Though their shinies became less interesting the more she thought about possibly finding her own...

Pinkie bounced her way to the beach. Her forever shining grin beamed at all the new potential friends she had planned on making today.

As her hooves hit the sand, she giggle-snorted and waved to everyone there.

"HI!! I'm Pinkie Pie! How's it hangin'?! OH!!" she blinked, taking note that some Pae in the area were digging in the sand. "Whatcha digging for?! Is this a game?! OH I LOVE GAMES!!" She bounded over to a spot and giggled again, leaning a bit to nudge an elbow into the side of the nearest Pae and wink. "BEATYOUTOCHINA!!!!"

And in an instant, she bent over, using her hands as speed-powered shovels, tail swishing in the air as she seemed to disappear into the hole she was creating.
