Welcome everyone to Avatar: The Last Hope. As you all have probably read the main guild page, I am here to let you know of the Arc we will be undergoing within the guild. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! (NOTE: This plot will differ slightly from the TV Series. In the Series, the opening of the portals actually creates new benders from non-benders, but we wanted to make a challenge here so please go with it )
====The Fading Light====

Description: During Avatar Korra's battle with Unalaq after he merged with Vaatu in the spirit world, Chaos was unleashed into the world once again. While this battle raged on Unalaq became more powerful by the minute until he finally ripped Raava right out of Avatar Korra. With the two separated, Unalaq then destroyed the light spirit, effectively ending the cycle of the Avatar...or so we thought. Once Korra got in touch with her inner self she then returned to fight them one last time. Thanks to Jinora, Korra is able to reclaim Raava and get rid of Unalaq and Vaatu for the next ten thousand years. Once back in the spirit world Korra then fuses with Raava once again and the cycle of the Avatar is restarted. The only problem is that Korra can no longer get in touch with her past lives. Because Korra believes that spirits and people need to learn to live together in peace, she decides to leave the portals open so that the spirits can once again roam the human world. Because of this though, the spirits have set off the balance of the world.
For the last one hundred years, the number of benders across the world has started to fall. The reason is still unknown but some believe it was because of Korra leaving the portals open. Will this new Avatar be the last Avatar? Will The White Lotus even be able to find new Avatar? Stay tuned to find out!

The Fading Light: The Return of the Avatar!
Beginning a Journey Arc I

After an epic -- and totally accidental -- battle with a powerful Nature Spirit, the Treant Spirit, after Fire Princess Tsubaki had taken a sacred fruit from its branches, the Avatar -- Tara Youya -- sprung into action and saved their lives from a huge splat. With the Avatar State activated, all around the world in the four nations, murals depicting the Avatar Cycle shine with light reminiscent with that of the glow of the Avatar State, pinpointing the exact location of the current incarnation of the Avatar -- Republic City!
With the Order of the White Lotus and the Dai Li both alerted of the Avatar's whereabouts, who will reach her first!?

The Fading Light: Picking Up Speed
Beginning a Journey Arc I

The fight between the Treant Spirit and Tsubaki and Tara summoned plenty of attention as throngs of civilians and curious explorers in the Spirit World began to accost the exhausted Tara and Tsubaki. Both sustaining injuries, there was very little they could do -- and hold --, having to use force to make way for their escape before things became too complicated. Fortunately, the masses dispersed, however with their diffuse attracted a few particular people who would later on assist Tara in her Avatar training.
The first to appear was Sail, a Fire Nation born Air Bender who took up the Air Nomad customs after he was sick of the abuse her tolerated for so many years, seeking a brighter and more fruitful path. Unfortunately, he, Tara, and Tsubaki didn't hit it off very well. Tsubaki wasn't pleased with his coddling of the exhausted Avatar and thus lashed out of him in the most ferocious way she could muster, which wasn't very much. Sail responded with aspersions which later prompted Tara's attempt to maintain peace between the two, but failed. Later on, after much more persistence --- and argument between Sail and Tsubaki, despite their humoring her order for them to apologize to each other --, she voiced her opinion on Sail and promptly ignored him, making it very clear she wanted nothing to do with him. This prompted Tsubaki and Sail to leave to do who knows what.
A Water Bender named Luna Shimizu appeared during the debacle and offered healing to Tsubaki and Tara, to which the two accepted. Luna obliging, she healed the two and Tara decided that Luna would aid her in her Water Bending lessons until a more combat-oriented suitor could be found. However, this doesn't mean Luna would be tossed to the side-lines, as healing is just as important as defending the self against a threat.
Shortly thereafter, a Metal Bender -- highly infamous in Republic City's slums -- named Shura, or more commonly known as the North Star, introduced herself sheepishly. When Tara learned of Shura's Metal Bending prowess, Tara asked Shura for lessons in Metal Bending -- at least the basics --, and Shura took on the mantle as her Metal Bending teacher. Therefore she, Luna, and Tara both escaped into the Republic City sewer system, hidden from all those who pursue them. Luckily nothing major occurred in the time span that these five were communing.
Meanwhile. . .
The Dai Li have infiltrated Republic City and are actively searching for the Avatar, getting inches closer and closer. Things are starting to get dangerous. . .

The Fading Light: Ambush!

After finally reaching the Pro Bending Arena, Tara, Tsubaki, and Luna are introduced into the world of Pro Bending by their de facto sensei Shura, also known as the North Star, the infamous gang leader and Metal Bending thief renown in Republic City. Learning the ropes, the girls got off to a great start in the private practice room Shura had from the arena manager, only for it to be completely wrecked when the Dai Li attacked.
It was a heated battle, two elite Dai Li agents for each of the girls, and things weren't left without just a few casualties. Tara gave into fatigue and stress, communing with Avatar Korra in the meanwhile, while Shura discovered her ability to Lava Bend, as well as get shot down a few pegs. Tsubaki was left, once again, gravely injured, and Luna gave into a cataclysmic panic attack, but that didn't stop her from showing her might in battle. The stakes were high, but the Dai Li were defeated, and just a few were spared so that the Earth King would know just who he's dealing with.
The Republic City Metal Bending Police arrived at the scene, as well as various Water Bending healer paramedics to tend to the girls. Seeing the damaged caused by the onslaught, the Pro Bending Arena owner demanded that the four girls be kicked out of the leagues and never be allowed in. As if things couldn't get any worse, a police officer recognized Shura, and just when another battle was about to break out, Tsubaki stepped in front of Shura to defend her. Fortunately, Tara sprung into action once she witnessed what was occurring after her haze, and threatened the police officer that he wouldn't just be dealing with a top notch Earth Bender, but the Avatar as well. This allowed the four girls to escape and rove back to Shura's hideout, where they remained hidden for now. . .
Meanwhile, the Dai Li have returned to a furious Earth King, and the Earth King began to set his next plan into motion. . .
