  This is an RP between Jianyu [kuroopu] and Yue Lao [Face your demons].
Setting:
Yue, having returned from her long journey through a cold and boring mission, asks her husband to meet her at the Ichi-Koi Inn and Bar.

Yue Lao resisted the urge to shake her fur collar free as she walked down the dark, cobbled path. It had been more than a few weeks since she had left on her mountain mission, condemned to freeze in mounds of snow. Nothing terribly interesting had even happened-- rumours of insurgents in the mountain passes proved to be largely gossip given gasoline and lit; when they arrived, though they were set to camp out and keep watch for a while, nothing immediately jumped out at them.
In the end, she had spent far more time coaxing her own fighters out of inner squabbles than anything else. Having no one to fight had made them jumpy, eager to pick at each other over the stupidest, smallest things. Hime-san had come with her, in fact, despite being utterly unhappy about snow when he first saw it. She reached up and pet his fur, and he chittered at her contentedly. Yue smiled to herself.
She shed the extra coat, revealing just her silvery cheongsam with its white embroidery. It was eerie, in a way. It was new, definitely. She had bought it on her way down from the mountains, on their return trip home. Yue exhaled heavily, then, her eyes glinting, she told Hime-san: "Hold on!:
Her Meteor Hammer slung around one shoulder, Yue Lao started to run, then leapt up at the wall nearby, and scaled it, latching on with her fingers and pulling herself up. She was laughing madly, and as she ran along the top of the wall looking off into the moon and the stars, she felt so free.
She felt like the fighter she had been, and she felt like the young woman who had married the love of her life. The Yue who had married Jianyu, and been full of hope. Not the Yue who had studied tactics for hours, was Captain, had become obsessed with the burden of keeping her fighters safe. Of fighting for the Kingdom she new and loved, fighting to protect it from the Noble threat.
That was how she would arrive to the Ichi-Koi, dropping down from the wall, holding up one forearm for Hime-san to drop down onto and walk with her. She had sent a letter ahead to her husband, and she prayed that he would be able to meet her. He would naturally be busy, she couldn't imagine that he wouldn't be, but maybe he could sneak away. Just for an hour or two.
To the place where they had met, for the first time.
