Name: Mary Weiss

Augmentation(s): Mary Weiss's blood is full of nano-machines injected into her during her augmentation process. These nano-machines drastically increase her healing rate but more importantly they allow her to artificially manipulate her blood into weapons and other physical attacks similar to black blood though without many of the effects of madness. Her most common manifestation of this is a long, thin red whip that she uses to attack opponents from a medium distance. Her bones have also been augmented to make them more robust, able to take much more damage than a normal human. Her nervous system is also enhanced to give her superior motor coordination and reaction times.

In addition, the headset she wears protects her from psychological attacks; any attacks that affect the target's perception of reality. It also allows her to be in constant contact with Saint Clara. Her blood has also been altered so that she has vampire-like abilities; able to heal herself by drinking the blood of her opponents.

Bio: Mary Weiss lived a normal life as a human raised in a city controlled by an extremely powerful demon. Like the other humans there, Mary was forced into slavery but since that was all she’d ever known it didn’t bother her too much. She grew up learning to avoid the numerous demons and witches that lived in their city as well, often preying on the weaker humans. There was a small and ineffective resistance force that fought against the demon ruler but they seemed to have almost no success and suffered constant defeat. That is, until The Machinist Order arrived. When the Machinist Order showed up to liberate the city warfare broke out almost immediately. Many people didn’t have time to flee the city as the Machinist Order and the minions of the demon lord attacked each other all across the landscape. Like many others, Mary Weiss found herself trapped in the city while the battle between the demon’s minions and Clara’s augmented Machinists raged in the streets.
After two days of long fighting, the Machinists gained the upper hand. It was only a matter of time before Clara faced down the Demon Lord himself. This would be the same battle that would make Clara into a Saint. However, the demon lord would not go down easy. Mary Weiss was unfortunate enough to be hiding near the battleground itself and was unable to get away due to the intense fighting. Eventually the Demon Lord unleased an attack that hit Clara dead on. The attack was meant to shatter her soul, but she was much stronger than the demon lord had anticipated. Instead of shattering it, the attack cracked it sending several shards flying in different directions. One of these shards hit Mary Weiss, piercing straight through to the center of her soul and lodging itself there. Unlike Clara, poor Mary was not used to artificial soul wavelength, augmented powers or Clara’s own insanity that resided in her soul. Even the small shard that had stuck in her was enough to immediately drive her mad. Clara’s power also seeped into Mary’s soul, making her much stronger than a regular human; immediately putting her at The Machinist level

No sooner had this happened than the same violent insanity that ran through Clara’s veins took hold of Mary and she began a rampage across the already devastated city, killing countless people in her maddened attacks. As soon as Clara defeated the demon lord, her next priority was to find the missing pieces of her soul. One by one she gathered them up from where they had fallen until only one was missing. But she knew where it was. She quickly found Mary with the intention of killing her but paused, thrilled by the amount of carnage the girl had caused with just a shard of her soul. It was then that Clara realized what an opportunity this was.

Instead of killing Mary, Clara used her connection with the shard of her soul to subdue her, knocking the girl unconscious. Several days later, Mary Weiss would wake up to see the newly christened “Saint” Clara standing over her. Without wasting time, Saint Clara quickly explained the “deal” to Mary. She could see the potential in the girl and knew that with augmentation and serious training she could become a force to be reckoned with and someone worthy of being one of her personal guards. If Mary refused this offer, Saint Clara would simply let her go….and stop suppressing the madness she had been infected with. This would, of course, cause Mary to go on another tireless killing spree, murdering countless innocents until she was finally killed by someone somewhere. Being the kind of girl she was Mary was horrified by the idea and quickly accepted Saint Clara’s offer. Mary Weiss soon began intensive personal training with Saint Clara herself which involved constant brutal beat-downs. But slowly Mary Weiss continued to learn until she had mastered her augmentations and her skill in combat was nearly flawless: Saint Clara would have nothing less. Since then Mary Weiss has been one of Saint Clara’s two bodyguards. She is desperately loyal to Saint Clara because she knows that if Saint Clara dies or if she wills it, the insanity within Saint Clara’s soul shard will stop being suppressed and Mary Weiss will lose herself in the mind of an insane killer.

Abilities:
1. Flayer: Mary creates two whips and lashes them both out at the same time and in a blur of movement whips them up and down continuously. Anyone caught within the area of this attack will suffer extreme lacerations to their bodies and will bleed profusely from them. Healing effects on these wounds are greatly reduced.

2. Hemorrhage: Mary covers her hand with synthetic blood and attempts to pierce her opponent’s body with a swift jab (fingers together and straight out). A hit penetrates deep into an opponent’s body causing them massive and continual blood loss. Healing effects are greatly reduced on this wound. In addition, the opponent is infected with some of the nano-machines from Mary’s body which will attack them internally. These nano-machines will be defeated by the opponent’s immune system eventually but in the mean time they will cause internal damage.

3. Blood Claws:
Mary’s blood flows around her hands, creating large clawed hands around her own that she can manipulate as if they are her own. Lacerations caused by these claws are resistant to healing and the opponent is infected with nano-machines that continually cause internal damage until their immune system destroys them.

4. Bloody Reach: Mary thrusts out her arm and her blood flows around it before shooting forward in the shape of an arm ending in a large clawed hand (roughly a little larger than someone’s head). The arm can extend a great distance to grab someone or something as well as being able to attack them. The hand can retract as well as extend and she can quickly pull anything she grabs back to her. If it takes enough damage, the hand will dissipate but it won’t cause any damage to Mary.

5. Blood Transfusion: Mary can use her blood to heal other people. Just as her nano-machines can cause injuries to enemies, they can help repair an ally’s body though just like with enemies, the ally’s immune system kills them off after a while and the healing only lasts so long. It’s also slower than most kinds of healing.

6. Hemophilia: Mary can manifest her sword, Hemophilia, at any time. This long black katana has been augmented with extremely strong synthetic metals to make it almost unbreakable. In addition, it is always covered with a thin layer of the same nano-machines that run through her veins. Therefore, any wounds caused by the blade will be significantly harder to heal than other kinds of wounds.

7. Trinity Blood:
Mary focuses her energy and Hemophilia glows bright red for several moments. Her artificial resonance force then connects with that of her opponent and she launches herself forward, being draw towards them even faster by that connection until she moves almost as fast as the eye can see. When she reaches them she makes one quick diagonal slice towards their torso. Even though this looks like a regular slash, a successful strike will always cause a serious and deep wound. In addition this wound will be infected with nano-machines that will cause continuous damage to the opponent until their immune system kills them off. Mary will then make a second powerful strike cutting the opposite way before making one final piercing attack towards her opponent attempting to run them straight through the chest.

8. Bloody Mary:
When Saint Clara wills it, Mary Weiss can turn into her alternate more powerful form: Bloody Mary. In this form she is stronger, faster and has much greater stamina. In addition, she has a telepathic connection to Saint Clara allowing her to communicate with her mistress at all times. In this form Mary is violent, bloody and unpredictable. Only Saint Clara can control and direct her.

Personality: Mary Weiss is a very shy and friendly girl when she is in her sane state of mind. She is definitely not the kind of person that belongs in The Machinist Order and certainly not as one of Saint Clara's bodyguards. She abhors hurting other people and tries to find ways to make peace unless specifically asked to fight by Saint Clara. However, when Saint Clara changes Mary to her to her alternate form, she is violent and vengeful, full of rage and unable to be reasoned with as she attacks virtually anyone around her.

Extras!

1. When Mary first began working for the Machinist Order she kept a diary, but after most of her days began involving killing and constant fighting, she found writing about her life depressing and eventually stopped. Her dust-covered diary still lies under her bed.

2. Mary likes drawing and will sometimes draw dresses she thinks Saint Clara would look cute in. She'd never show Saint Clara that though.

3. Several times in the past, Saint Clara has sent Mary to "entertain" important guests, mostly because she thinks the expressions Mary makes when ordered to do so are funny. As a result of this and the violence she has committed, she was forced to grow up extremely fast and is much more mature for her age compared to someone like Becky.

4. Despite all the horrible things she's done, Mary can't help but look up to Saint Clara as she has many of the qualities Mary wishes she had in herself: Outgoing personality, confident, highly intelligent and often charming.

5. Standing around guarding Saint Clara when nothing is happening can get really boring, and at times like that Mary will sometimes daydream about a handsome prince bursting into the throne room and sweeping her off her feet. This is why sometimes she'll seem to be smiling to herself while standing guard, something that has perplexed both Shelle and Saint Clara since she began doing it.
