"I can't believe you actually bit it."
The answering whine and huff of hot air in her face--unpleasantly odored hot air--came just before a mass of yellow nudged into her chest and chin as she stayed crouched.
"I'm serious. You could have been hurt--but least this answers that you can realize I'm me." A gloved hand felt strange to her to use as she pet the canine's large head, the short hairs prickling through the fabric as she ruffled the fur behind the dog's ears. She leaned forward into the mass of hot air were she could hear the panting and from further behind, the sound of the tail flicking back and forth over the grass in a very delighted pace. A warm tongue met her cheek, and the Super Senshi laughed before she pulled back in a gag. "Your breath reeks. I'm going to have to get you more of those doggie tooth brush sticks."
Raja's breath smelt as bad as the youma she'd bitten, the same that Lilith had powered up to combat while they'd been out on their evening walk. The same one the scout had told the dog to stay put from. But the street of little floral sitting areas and cute boutiques had been the sight of a very unusual battle as far as the senshi was concerned, the dog latching onto the youma's hind leg and--doing what exactly, Metis hadn't been sure, be it to drag the thing away from the scout or actually try to hurt it--giving her enough time to send out her magic on the thing before she could kill it with a decorative.... rock. Of some kind. She didn't know what it was. It'd been in one of the little sitting areas near a cafe she liked to frequent in the day hours.
But no. The mass of yellow had come out of--as far as she'd paid attention to--nowhere, lunging for the larger four-legged mass of copper that Metis had been engaging. She could feel the claw-marks she'd gotten on her right arm stinging, and was certain she'd gotten a few cuts for her trouble... but her hands wandered over her seeing eye dog, trying to search for sore spots. After a moment she pulled back only to remove her long dark gloves, and begin her search anew.
"I didn't even think you were the type to go after something..." Had Lilith somehow just missed something here? Did Raja chase squirrels without her knowing? This did not change her opinion of leaving Raja at home when she patrolled, though. If anything, she made a mental note to stay even further from youma if she was on a walk with the dog...
